What does the Kingdom Hearts series mean to you as a person?

Posted

I know I know it's a video game. But like any other forms of storytelling like books,movies...etc.A story is gotta have some effect and meaning on us even if we don't want to admit it.

So my question is:What does Kingdom Hearts mean to you as a person, what aspects of it's story that you feel it reaches to you as a person.

I'm sorry if my question isn't structured properly but I hope you get the idea

I thought it was a name of the Kingdom since it's clearly that was a Kingdom's name...

I didn't mean that.

I meant how did the series changed something about you as a person or had some themes(not musical btw) that touches you

Well, the series make me learn how value of friendship is...

It helped me actually realize the value of friendship, and to treasure every friend you have. Friends are not a precious resource like fuel; you can always make new friends.

And never giving up, always doing the right thing...folowing your heart...there's so much one can say but shoulsnt have to.

That second sentence kinda opposes the first one. But I think I know what you mean, that even if you lose friends you can always meet new ones.

I use it as a distraction when I'm sick and/or in the hospital . It's really worked I must say .It keeps me busy instead of thinking of being in pain or sick . Especially this site .

Good question, for me, it makes up a WHOLE part of my world, as it has touched me unlike all of my other interests up to this point, I LOVE Kingdom Hearts, I love the Story, the Characters, the Music, the Gameplay, everything :] but the one thing I love the very most is Sora, for I feel that both me and him have a very special bond between us, even if Sora is just a Fictional Character alone, nevertheless, he is my number one favourite Fictional Character of all time ever, period :].

Really? wow, awesome :], thanks man :], also, glad to be of service :].

Honestly, to me, the Kingdom Hearts series symbollizes hope and the ability to overcome adversity in the face of the deepest darkness.  This video game series has taught me the value of friendship, and it has taught me the importance of overcoming myself and my own obstacles, which is one of the reasons I look up to Riku so much, because he succumbed to the darkness, but at the end of it all, he gained the resolve to conquer the darkness within him.  I was able to overcome the hate within myself thanks to this video game series, and this series also allowed me to find this site and to find my true love Inori.

I've also learned that even though the world may turn on me, I will always be able to find the light in the edge of the deepest darkness.  Never has a video game series made me feel this strongly and I'm proud to now and always be a Kingdom Hearts fan.  I thank God I found these games, because not only did I overcome myself, I made wonderful friends here and I found my true love Inori.  So yeah, I can keep going on and on about how this video game series means so much to me, but words can never fully describe the impact this unique form of art has impacted my life. :)
