People complain that Nintendo doesn't make hardcore games.

Bayonetta 2 announced as a Wii U exclusive

They complain that a hardcore game they want is only on a Nintendo console.

if they want hardcore, they should've gotten a Sony, or Microsoft console, or a PC. Nintendo is supposed to be more family orientated (though I'm still wondering why call of duty franchise is on Wii U or Wii)

Fool. Bayonetta isn't hardcore. It's a button masher.

What even is 'hardcore' gaming? Gaming is whatever you make of it. There's no league system for gamers that labels one more important than the other. They're all just pieces of entertainment. It's like if there was hardcore movie fans, or hardcore book readers.

I wasn't arguing with you, it's just a bother of mine to see people rank and name this stuff. Seeing that memes like 'Filthy casuals' even exist because people get so crabby about the topic just irks me to no end.

Is X consider hardcore?

i don't really know what the word means myself when it comes to games, Other people use it for M rated dark and gritty games though so i guess that's what I'll go with

Does AC:BF,Splinter cell,Resident evil, and Zombiu fill that spot. Exactly why does it matter if something has a brand that's not "cool". Just shut up about the brand and enjoy what it gives you. Though that will never happen because people never change.

Not really mad just irated by some of the fanboys in the console wars. Though that qoute does have some truth to it such as when its cold we want to be warm etc.

Bayonetta definitely didn't live up to the hype. Not interested in continuing the series.

Call of Duty games run 1080p/60fps on a WiiU so people who only care about CoD can enjoy it on a cheaper machine. It makes a lot of sense to me.

When people say they want hardcore games on the Wii U before they buy it they typically mean the really popular ones like "I'll buy it if COD/Halo/FF/whatever I'm personally a fan off is released on it".  No matter what way you spin it Nintendo's Wii and as a result most of their Wii games were aimed at families, from toddlers to grannys.  With the Wii U they are trying to break that market into "hardcore" market but ended up at an odd in between.  The upgraded specs added a price tag the casual audience didn't want, and the upgraded specs weren't adequate to compete with the more expensive pieces of hardware (PS4/Xbone) so it's like a weird inbetween of not being good enough for "hardcore" but being too good for "casual".  They're gonna have a hard time trying to seem "hardcore" while trying to keep their family orientated audiences.

Either way I'll be getting a Wii U for the Nintendo's own games.  I don't care about third party support, I just like Mario and Zelda and want to try Donkey Kong, Smash Bros and all that I can't play on anything but a Nintendo system.  Also I didn't have a Wii so I get all the games on the Virtual console, the Wii games and Wii U games all playable now on one system.  Woot.

Well technically Bayonetta 2 is a Nintendo game since it's being published by Nintendo
