Fool. Meh.

Might not seem like much to you, but to people who take competitive Pokemon battles seriously, this could be a real game breaker. Putting months of effort into a team, only to have it trashed by someone who only got lucky due to a cheat engine really sucks.

Lol its not a cheat engine. Its Wireshark for Pokemon. All its doing is scanning packets from online play. Its truly not a big deal because most people probably wont know how to use it.

This makes me so upset! I battle very comptetively! Why cant people just play the game nicely? I adore my Pokemon too much, to ruin our name by cheating.

It's a cheat. I don't really care about the technicalities on what it's called. Also, there are still people who do know. And they might show their friends. And their friends might show their friends. If there's a cheat out, people will learn to use it and abuse it. That's how it is with any competitive game. Have you even seen how many people entered hacked Pokemon into the most recent tournament? There were quite a few.

I haven't gotten into competitive battling yet, but entering a tournament has always been a goal of mine. It really hurts to see some idiots pulling this. I don't even see where the enjoyment in abusing a game is...

Fool. But how many people actually do this? The cheating thing.

They care about winning more than their pride. But I forgot to say I love you! I LOVE YOU BLACKSTARFISH! Plus, they probably lack the skill to win without their silly cheats.

No clue. But now that the news is out, I'm sure it'll pop up more often.

I wouldn't even consider it a win if they cheated, but that's likely it. The skill part of it is true, also. Not to mention that it's time consuming to build a strong team. But when you get a victory with the team you've poured so much time and effort into, there's nothing else that can really compare to the feeling then. (Oh geez there goes my star fish name again. xD)

Lol the technicalities specify that it is not a cheat engine. Its not like action replay lol. Regardless Nintendo has already taken precaution by adding code on Pokemon caught in game so hacked pokemon cant be used in tournaments. Its likely that this tool will be complicated for a normal user. It just doesnt make sense that this truly effects the battle since its not like they can just swap their party out and get a new one in. Knowing Pokemon and the moves barely gives you a competitive edge at least in my experience.

You'll never be able to get rid of it! And that's true. Winning from hard work is great! I love the feeling of a well deserved victory and it says I won! :)

Once again, don't really care for technicalities. Also, they can do it at the start of a match. They'll know what to use against what, and knowing everything about someone's team actually makes for a HUGE advantage.

Definitely. Knowing that my hard work has paid off is a great feeling. I don't know why anyone would be willing to sacrifice that just for more wins...

Cool guys shouldn't cheat on games like Pokemon.

It's pathetic, really, if you need to do something like that. It ruins the fun, and the strategy.

Is this the same program as Instacheck?

I rarely ever win anyway... so yeah, I'm going to make myself feel better by assuming every person I've ever been matched up against has been using this cheat xD

I don't know, they both work the same way from what I heard, though.

Ah yes, this. I understand Pokegen, but this is going too far. Even Pokegen "cheaters" are screwed by this, oh the irony.

RIP online Pokemon battles; hello Showdown. (Like I wasn't doing this before)

Well,I hope GameFreak would take care of that soon.....especially that I'm about to built a competitive team very soon

Even though some sets are predictable(seriously every single Rotom-Wash has Hydro Pump,Volt Switch,Will-O-Wisp,Rest or Thunderbolt)

Cheaters? On Pokemon? This is...madness...PANGORO RAGE MODE ACTIVATE!

That would pretty much limits the practice to the people you trust in your friends list.

Which means in order to avoid cheaters while getting ready for VGC,you basically can't train with random battlers at all because you might find a cheater who'll see your entire moveset before he faces you in a tournament.

Which for me means:I'm gonna add Shofu(in case you know him) and practice with him only
