What Life Lesson Has KH Taught You?

Posted

So, what life lessons has the KH series taught you? I know that KH has taught people some stuff about real life (as I've read comments about that on YouTube and KHInsider). So now KH13 members, what has KH taught you? :P

KH literally taught me nothing. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the games, but I never got any deep meaning out of them. Actually, sometimes I was getting second hand embarrassment from the friendship cliches. xD

In the end, to me, it's just a game about kids with big feet fighting with keys.

Hasn't really taught me anything.  I just love to play the games and watching the story grow.

This amazing video game series has taught me the meaning of perseverance, and overcoming odds that seem impossible.  Case in point is the fact that I relate myself to Riku a lot, because his struggle to overcome the darkness within himself is a lot like my struggle to overcome my self doubt and hate.  So yes, Riku is one of my favorite characters because of the journey he went through.  I have and always will hold this video game series in high regard, because no video game has such an impact in my life like this game series does.  So yeah, Kingdom Hearts is eternal! :D

Honestly, one of the biggest take-aways I've gotten from the game is found in the dream sequence at the start of KH1, when Sora asks what he wants, what he fears, etc. The response he gets a lot of the time is: "Is (Option A) really that important?" or "Is (B) really that scary?" I stared to apply that to things I think of on a daily basis, asking if that really is the case, and if the things I want are really that necessary. And if they aren't, then what is?

It just gives you a lot to think about.

-There are Villians and there are Heroes and I chose neither

-Balance is key to a good existence

-Light and Darkness cannot exist without one another

-Keyblade is one of my favorite Powers and Weapon next to Naruto's Powers and Abilities

-Always fight for what you believe in

Since it was the first video game I remember playing, it was the first one to teach me that if you encounter enemies, your going in the right direction!

That people can look at the same thing and see something totally different because of the way they think.

Don't mess with a boy, a dog and a duck at the same time

To never lose hope, no matter how grimm the situation (:

I learned that if you're female, you're shit out of luck because everyone will hate you no matter what you do.

Axel will always be there to bring you back.
