PlayStation 4 outsells Wii U in UK in only 48 hours

Posted

The PlayStation 4 outsold the Wii U in the UK after only 48 hours.

In the current generation of consoles the Wii has outsold the PS3 and 360 by about 20 million thanks largely to the cheap price due to the ancient hardware.

In the next generation of consoles it seems no one cares about which is cheapest but rather which has the best hardware.

Thanks to IGN.

I'm glad I have a Wii U, but the fact Nintendo is screwing themselves this past year has got me wondering what the firetruck is wrong with them, especially Reggie.

Also not sure if coincidence or hate, like above person said. I could care less, many exist I stop giving firetrucks.

Next year sales will boost.. I want a Wii U but only when the good shit comes out in 2014

I think the drop in sales has more to do with what I've been saying for ages.

They cut off their casual audiences, the gigantic audience that the majority of the public is, saw the Wii U as an upgrade they didn't need no want.

And the upgrade wasn't enough to compete with the rest of the new generation.Bad in-between cutting off all it's customers bar the Nintendo lovers.

I'm still getting one like.  I think it's a good system.

As much as I like Nintendo,I'm glad that this is happening,it might help them to realize that people don't buy consoles to play Wii Party U with their family or any casual game they're releasing these days.

Isn't this how it always goes? lol

Nintendo consoles have had lukewarm sales since the N64 days, but they dominate the handheld market. Their grip on the handheld market is the reason why they are able to recover from bad console sales and yet still experiment in that regard as they have something to fall back on.

Just the start to a great life. If PS4 can hold out more sales in the US, than the rest of the world will definitely be dominated by PlayStation.

Um, what about the Wii? A lot of people even thought its sales could surpass that of the PS2, which was no easy feat. I think their next console could do as well as the Wii if they make the right decisions.

Fool. Alright, fine. I'm not surprised at all the the ps4 outsold it. There was obviously a lot more hype for it.
