ive come up with a theory that will satisfy everyone including myself (becouse quite frankly i dont wanna see sora any older then he is or to be more specific became an adult) so i was playing final fantasy 13-2 and kingdom hearts ddd and was wondering since kingdom hearts and final fantasy have the same realms (realm of sleep kh ddd,ff10 realm of light all kh,ffv and realm of darkness numorous kh and ff) why can't there be a paradox in kingdom hearts right?xehanort travels through time much like noel sarah and caius right? i mean if sora becomes an adult and fans disslike the change we can start fresh with paradox sora agree?

Then when hes 60 and heartless attack hell be like " I'm getting too old for this shit" then hell look at himself at the mirror and be like "whoops nevermind" and kick some heartless booty.

I guess they could to that as a back-up o.oPersonally I want Sora to keep getting older; that way he matures and ages with the players at a good clip- instead of remaining 15 for decades on end and making me feel jealous

Yeah, but I think almost everyone would love to see Sora grow up with us. It'd be awesome to know we've been with him since he was a little kid and to see him grow up with us in front of our very eyes through time

I also would rather like to see Sora grow up, actually to me it would be kinda disappointing if he just was a kid forever. It's okay if we won't see the adult Sora in the games (like, if Sora wasn't the main character in the future games anymore or would only be that while he was still young or the games wouldn't cover so log time period tha he'd have time to grow much older or something). But I don't want Sora to stop growing or anything D :

I think...it would be nice to have Sora mature a bit one more time.  Yes theres something sentimental about having him grow up with us, and i adore the concept. But theres something about the way he is now I dont want to let go of. Theres something wrong with these kids getting older and becoming adults and not the young dream filled adventure ready people they are.  Yeah they can carry it with them as they get older, but I dont know hes always been the same age, it bothers me. This is just my opinion. Im pretty sure I love KH too much to have complaints about certain things.

Yeah, same. When I first got into KH, I was six years old, eight years younger than Sora. Now I'm two years older and it bugs the crap out of me. It's not fair that Sora is Peter Pan and I'm stuck being Wendy. Although technically, I guess he's 16 now, post-DDD.

 

Not to mention, but, Sora is REALLY naive and immature. Not so much in KH1, but in KH2 onwards he's become a bit of an idiot. I'd like to see him mature into a more adult character. He doesn't need to be 35 and have a 5:00 shadow, just make him intelligent. At least as much as he was in KH1.

Exactly! ^^And right?! I wouldn't mind his having that 5:00 shadow thing though, but wait until Kingdom Hearts 8 to do it

There is a difference between childish and naive and immature. It is possible to be mature and serious yet still childish. Depends on the situation sometimes, but still. I disagree, I don't think sora was immature or an idiot, he acts like an idiot, but he's really quite clever and intelligent . It's shown many times in KH1 perhaps, but I completely disagree from that point onward. (Not counting the manga, obviously.) Specifically in KHII, he's extremely gullible, constantly has to have the plot explained to him, and overall just doesn't seem to be as smart as he was in the first game. This wouldn't bother me so much if he WASN'T as intelligent in KH1.

 

For example, in Agrabah, in the Cave of Wonders, KH1 Sora called out to Maleficent by name without ever seeing her before. He had only been told her name, yet through simple deduction, was able to guess that she was the 'witch' that was referred before. KHII Sora would have forgotten the name completely and Goofy probably would have been the one to point it out. This exact scenario happens several times in KHII, where Goofy shows simple logic that Sora completely overlooked.  

 

I know he can be quite clever and intelligent, but for some reason in KH2, he just loses all sense and reasoning. From what I've seen of DDD Sora, he's gotten better, it's just KHII that's the odd one out for me.

Life doesn't stop when you get over the age of 18. 

 

When the series first started, it was really grounded on the idea of childhood dreams and giving the player the adventure they always wanted as a kid. Part of me thinks that this should return, and give us a sense of wonder again. By the same token, I think seeing Sora as an adult could add something to the emotional arc as well. The main punch of Toy Story 3, for instance, is that it can sometimes be hard for an ageing audience to look back at their childhood and realize it's gone for good: people like myself can remember seeing the original Toy Story in theatres, and the idea of growing up and leaving them behind triggers some feels here and there. I think Sora might be able to relate to that in some way, if he tries to go back to some of the worlds he loved visiting and finding that maybe he's changed, or maybe he can still hold on to the gist of what it meant to be a kid in the first place, and keep that with him no matter how old he gets.

 

Either way, the image of an adult Sora sitting on the tree swing with Pooh as they watch the moon makes me all warm and fuzzy.
