It is the second day at Beacon, you are on the cliffs with a bunch of strangers...or friends (decide amongst yourselves) and are about to start your very first trial: falling.  Crazy old Ozpin is telling everyone to have a landing strategy.  It is up to you to take the first step.  Begin!

 

 

Ozpin and Glynda's speech:

 

 

Everyone currently stood on the cliffs, standing on some kind of platform.  For some reason, each platform having the school's insignia.  Ozpin and Ms. Goodwitch were standing before them, it was kind of exciting and nerve racking all at the same time.  What were they going to tell the students.

 

"For years you have trained to become warriors," the gray haired man began, as he addressed all the students.  "Today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.""Now," Glynda continued, "I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams.  Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion.  Each of you will be given teammates, today.""These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time, here at Beacon.  So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well.  That being said, first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."

 

There were an abundant of reactions, ranging from both sides of the spectrum.  It would continue for the rest of the authority figures' speech.  Regardless, Ozpin continued."After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest.  You will meet opposition along the way.  Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.  You will be monitored and graded for the duration of the initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.  You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics.  Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff.  You will guard that item, as well as your standing, and we will grade you appropriately.  Are there any questions?"

 

 

 

And with those last couple of words, one by one everyone prepared to be tossed into the air.  Whether anyone responded or not, did not matter.  Ozpin already had a set answer.

 

"Good.  Now, take your positions."For some reason, someone always had a question about the landing strategy and so the gray haired man answered accordingly.

 

"No, you will be falling,"

"Oh great, some guy is asking questions," Haru thought.  "What an idiot."

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

 

And with that, everyone was tossed into the air.  Haru, felt very natural in the air, holding his backpack as he flipped and twisted a couple times, somehow avoiding mysteriously placed crows. *cough* Monty *cough*  He decided to try and stay in the air for as long as possible, it seemed fun that way.  He spread his arms in the air, picking up a bountiful of air resistance."This is great!" the white haired boy yelled out, diverting some of the other first years' attention.

 

He looked around to see the possible competition, as well as teammates.

 

"Now which one of you are my future teammates?"

"Alright." Alvis and Haru ran toward the Taijitus. The Deathstalker was speeding up; the others could handle that, but Alvis and Haru would have to get past it.

As the Deathstalker approached, Alvis took to the ground. He continued to slide, and slid right under the Deathstalker. Fortunately, it seemed that it was too intent on going after the ones in front of it then going back to deal with him.

Alvis ran toward the Taijitus and punched the nearest one in the eye. "Ah, it that you, old friend?" he asked sarcastically; it was the Taijitu that they had taken down earlier. 

 

"About time you showed up!" Veronica yelled to Alvis and Haru. One of the black heads then lunged for her. She hopped back to avoid the attack, then swung her hammer at the snake, taking out one of its fangs. Because of Haru's mirrors, the same thing happened to the other half of the head.

"Cool," she said under her breath. While the Taijitu head was lamenting the loss of its fangs, she lifted her hammer and brought it down on the creature's skull.

" right let's get this done with so the headache willend" he whispered geting into a tree and aiming for the eye of one of the snakes. finding the perfect angle he threw a acorn at the taijitu's head getting it's attention. chase jumped off the branch and held the sword eye laughing alittle as he stabed through the eye and was thrashed about. " it's like a ride sadly i got to end my fun here. sorry friend" he said before letting go of the blade. he got thrown the air but luckiyl landed on the same head so he yanked out the sword and stabbed right into the middle of the skull.

(I made mirrors in front of their heads)The snakes, distracted by their own reflections was a great diversion.  It would give everyone enough time to regroup and come up with a plan to deal with all of them.  Problem was, some people just didn't listen.  It was going to take more than a few words and mirrors to turn the tide of the battle.

 

"We have to run, now!" Haru yelled.  "We have to find a narrow space so we can deal with them one by one!"

chase sighed and frowned jumping down. " fine but don't you think we could easily get them dealt with here instead of running around looking for a good area" chase asked ignoring the snakes for now. he looked at haru closely and sighed. " as long as everyone if game i'm fine with it" he said. he began walking but yelped as one of the snakes stoped looking long enough to go for a bite. chase looked at his side and growled alittle. he was still kinda happy that it wasn't a deep cut. " sorry anyways let's go if thats what your plan is" chase said stuffing his hat in his pocket.

Vyona saw the two boys come over and took a deep breath. She quickly explained what she came up with to the two of them. "You two got that? Good now-" She stopped when she noticed that Heian was breathing heavily and blood dripping down from his hand. (Really?! At a time like this?) Vyona composed herself and placed her hands on his shoulders. "Listen, I know you've reached your limit but one shot. We just need one shot and we can get rid of that thing? You think you can at least do that much for us?" Meanwhile, Nami was starting to breath heavily by the time she made it within a good range of the deathstalker. She was in the middle of the bridge along with the deathstalker. Nami grimaced and placed her rapier away. "Stay put dammit!" she said and raised both of her hands out towards it. Slowly, the deathstalker started to raise above the ground. (I can only hold this thing up for so long.) Nami managed to take a glance behind her to see Vyona and the others grouped together. (Maybe they came up with something. Whattever it is they need to hurry.) 

Alvis jumped on the Taijitu head and he, along with Veronica, followed the other two.

"Where the hell are we supposed to find a narrow space?" he asked Haru.

"There's probably some nook or cranny in the ruins," Veronica said. "But wouldn't that be disadvantageous to us since we'd be cornered?"

Alvis sighed. "Haru, I'll trust you and follow your plan. But if it fails, I'm killing you before the Taijitus get the chance to."

(Uh, sorry. Kinda just finally got home.)

 

Sora kept up, glancing at the Nevermore.

"I can go fast, but to get to it...I'd need...a boost..." She smiled...more confidently. "Think you can make another huge wave?"

" we can channel our attacks with less difficulty and we have yet to introduce ourselves" chase said.he grabed a few rocks and started throwing them at the snakes trying to get their attention. " you guys start going ahead i'll get them to follow" chase said but soon added " if thats alrigth with you captain mirrow maker". he grimaced at the stupid name and face palmed.

 "Ah wave, I need a huge water source in order to make you that high." She pondered. 'I wonder if there's water under the bridge.' Aria closed her eyes and concentrated; she was right, she sense water underneath the bridge but it was very faint. "All right get ready." She muttered to Sora. Using all of her concentration she felt a painful tug inside of her as the bridge began to rumble as a huge wave rushed high above everyone's heads. "Go Sora!" Aria yelled as the wave was heading to Sora's direction to give her a ride up to the Nevermore above. 

"I'm working on it!" Haru said, as the others attacked the snakes.The snakes slivered around after the mirrors disappeared.

 

"I have to try something" he thought.  "Alright, I'm making our own narrow spaces, everyone get ready!" he yelled, out pointing his staff upwards.

 

Haru created two rows of mirrors connecting with each other and running parallel to one another.  He did this four times for each person.

 

"Get in your own row, dealing with one head is better than two and this way only one can attack you at once!"

 

The one headed one immediately recognized that it was Haru who had hurt it earlier and began to pursue him.  Each other Taijitu had one of the other teammates to attack and they sure did have it's attention.

chase ran into one of the sectiosn and got his weapon ready to stab. " after we're done with these guys what do we do" chase asked watching the snake's patterns as he dodged. it was his job ( according to him0 to be distracted and yet still get the job done. finally memorizing the pattern he moved the opposite way of the snake dodging the attacks. finally the snake went for a bottom attack but stopped when chase but the sword down. " confusion .... perfect" he thought grabing some dirt. using his free hand he picked up the blade charged the snake.

Cutting an entire tree down, Sora went surfin' on the tree. Jump and landing hard, she managed to angle the tree up once the branches were caught in the wave.

She aimed...concentrated...

Bam!

 

Using Albion, she shot above, afterimages fading as she made it. Her scythe entering Warscythe form, she spun Ruby-Style at the beast's neck, aiming to decapitate it.

...(I won't even get an attack at this rate...)

 

"Hmph." Good thing Haru got the one-headed one. I doubt he has a whole lot of energy left.

A corridor of mirrors formed on Alvis's sides. Just then, a Taijitu slithered in. It barely fit in between the rows of mirrors, so the only way it could go was forward. It lunged.

Alvis launched himself upward, avoiding the attack and landing on the black head. He formed two finger guns with his hands and shot small balls of fire into the eyes until they burned out. "Pew pew." He then wrapped his fists in flame and slammed down on the black head's skull. Now he had to deal with the white head. Like its darker half, it lunged. Alvis ducked and rolled under the head. He then punched the snake above him. Caught by surprise, it jerked to the side, hitting the row of mirrors. Alvis jumped out from under it and shot a column of flame at it. After a few moments, it fell. Alvis jumped on his and dealt a quick combo for good measure.

 

Veronica got into her own corridor. The Taijitu lunged at her. She raised an earth wall out of the ground and heard the sound of the head smashing against the rock. She willed the wall to come down on the snake's head. She jumped up onto the fallen wall to face the other head. She leaped up, channeled her energy into her weapon, and brought the hammer down on the head, shattering the snake's skull. She lightly landed on the carcass and dusted herself off. "I wonder if the others are done."

 

 

 

(Take charge of your team )

 

The Nevermore flapped it's wings in the air beginning to grow momentum once again.  It started create gusts towards the flying girl's direction.  There was no way it was going to be that easy to kill this thing.  To make it worse, it began to fly up and spin once again.  A tornado again?

Meanwhile, the Deathstalker was dealing with it's own crowd, stabbing with it's tail at it's victims, missing every time.  You can imagine how frustrated it was.

Ozpin and Glynda continued to watch the students.  While Glynda was very doubtful of a many of them, Ozpin stayed silent.  He was a mysterious one, but it was clear he was observing for a purpose.

(Meanwhile with the evil guys.  Recap: There's Roman and Cinder.  Ver, Ama, and Az are OC.  Plus points if you figure out who they are later )

 

"Then here's your dust," Ver said as her sisters handed over the suitcases of dust."This will be enough!" Roman yelled out in glee, chuckling a bit."That isn't all," Ama said, signaling a truck to pull in.The truck opened showing tons of dust."This will definitely be enough," Cinder confirmed."That is good to hear.  I trust you keep you end of the bargain?" Az asked."Of course."

Haru's makeshift team seemed to cope with the danger pretty well.  It would be only a few more moments before Chase would also take down his own.  Last was Haru.  He had to make sure he killed his.  It was only half, so it wasn't like it was as hard as the others."Hya!" he yelled, running towards it, coughing a little blood out.The white haired boy was clearly fatigued from all the work he had to do with his semblance.   In fact, he may have went over his limit.  Would he be able to take care of this?

Chase stabbed the snakes neck and threw the dirt in the others eye. Slicing the blade down he killed off the first an jumped onto it's falling. While it was still falling he jumped onto the others and stabbed it in the eye. " sorry friend really am" chase whispered slightly pressing the button making the blade extend into a sword. Chase yanked the blade out and jumped off the head. " hey is everyone done" chase asked stepping outside his some alley.

Haru missed the head.  A severe mistake as the Taijitu chewed on him, eliminating almost all of his aura.  He had to do it.  It was his only choice.  Haru used his semblance again, reflecting the snakes bite back, breaking it's front two, top and bottom teeth.  Haru ran as he felt a little blood on his arm, the first time it happened.  He called off the corridors of mirrors as he bolted for it.

 

"Guys!  I kinda need help!" he yelled.

"... We don't have time to hesitate. It's attacking the others over there, and they're being swarmed..." He sighed, forcing Yuki to aim at the Nevermore, then forcing her to fire, Davis rushed up to the top and jumpped, landing on the body of the first rocket. It nearly got in range when it and the others ran out of fuel. "Damn, gonna have to improvise!" He yelled, using the chain of his weapon to pull up the last two rockets, he jumpped off of the one he was on and threw one of the other rockets at the one he rode, causing both to explode, the winds were furious at this point, but the explosion was enough to sent him almost to the Nevermore. Firing off the blade into it's side, Davis swung himself up onto its back and stabbed the other sickle into its back, and pushing down as hard as he could. Even with his semblance and the teather made from his weapons, he was barely able to hold on because of the blustering winds, but he forced the blade down still in hopes of forcing it to the ground to make the fight easier.

Chase quickly got in the snakes way and hissed. " Veronica check his wound I'll quickly handle this thing" chase said swinging his blade slightly. He stabbed the snake in the neck and slowly turned the blade before ripping upwards. Before it fully died the snake's feelings hit pity which made chase tear up. " your resting captain like it or not" chase said turning around quickly.

Veronica ran up to Haru. "I'm not a medic, but even I can see that you're not in a good condition." 

Alvis ran to the others to see Chase killing the final Taijitu. "Aw, I missed out," he said to himself. "So, is everyone- oh." He saw Haru's arm bleeding. "Hmm... Should I burn the wound closed? Then you'll stop bleeding." Alvis was joking of course.... unless things had to come to that.

He looked toward the rest of the ruins. "Wonder how the others are doing."
