  • It is the next game in the series after X/X-2.
  • The North American/International versions already have 16:9 Widescreen as an available option. There would be no need to modify the aspect ratio.
  • FINAL FANTASY XII reached sales figures not far off from FINAL FANTASY X. The overall review scores are just as high as well. It was even named best PS2 game and best role-playing game by several video game journals and websites.

These are all facts and evidence that an HD Remaster of this game may very well happen.

I believe they will remaster it... because sqex said they will continue too release memorable games.. so what's left now for FF now is FFIX and FFXII

*they had release the pc version of FFVII (last year) and FFVIII (last month) on steam, meanwhile FF1-6 for android and iOS

They've actually talked about a HD remaster of XII in various interviews. I'd like Revenant Wings covered as cutscenes. For PlayStation 3 & PlayStation Vita. It would be Square Enix's final release on the PlayStation 3.

A PC release on Steam is much more likely. No one does HD remasters of PlayStation One games.

I would be interested in an HD Remastering of FF XII.

If they do it should hopefully be on PS4.

XII was actually pretty good and I hope they do remaster the International version as they're doing with X/X-2 and 1.5 But knowing SE, they'll probably make their "necessary edits" to the music.
