Keimei looked around at the crowd in the center plaza of the Starting Town. "Why was I just taken here...?" She asked aloud. She'd only been playing for a couple hours, and had decided to get into the combat system before finding anyone to team up with. She looked around the crowd, noticing a lot of other people were also teleporting there. Suddenly, the sky above her turned blood red. A cloaked figure appeared over the square, and hovered there.

 

"Hello everyone, and welcome to SAO." A voice boomed over the crowd. "You're likely wondering who I am... My true identity will remain secret. However, I will tell you this; I have hacked into SAO. Some of you may have noticed that there isn't a log-out button... That's because I've removed the option to log out. I've trapped you all in the game..." He paused, as the crowd was dead silent. He eventually continued. "Why have I done this? Simple. I've wanted a world of my liking. In this world, I've surpassed even the game's creator, Kayaba Akihiko. Here, I control you all... Unless, of course, you can clear all 100 floors. However, that's impossible..." He cackled. "Also, to warn you... If you die in the world of SAO, the NerveGear will fry your brain in the real world, killing you in both. If anyone attempts to remove your NerveGear, you will also die. Now then, before I leave, I have a gift for you..." Suddenly, a mirror appeared in Keimei's inventory. She used it, out of curiosity. There was a sudden flash of light, and she shut her eyes...

 

When she opened her eyes, she felt different. She looked into the mirror... That's... my real face in the mirror... She looked in horror. Aside from her hair color, which was the same shade of red that she'd made it in-game, she looked exactly like she did in real life.

 

"Now then... With this, I must leave. Good luck in Aincrad... You'll need it." A maniacal laughter echoed along the buildings, as the figure disappeared.

 

After the echoes, there was silence. After what felt like ages, people began rioting. "We're doomed!" "I can't be trapped in the game, I've got a meeting in an hour!" "That had to all be some sick joke!" Keimei looked around in confusion. She didn't know what to do. She looked around frantically.

 

I have to get out... The only way to do that is to fight, and I'll need partners... Man, I really wish my friends had been able to get the game so I wouldn't be alone in this. She dashed through town, weaving her way through the crowd and into the streets. She tried to look around for someone, anyone who was also rushing to go fight.

Meanwhile, Vash, Lock and Eleyna arrived back at the Inn. "Ok then, so Lock, i guess one of us has to pay for Eleyna's room right?" He turned to Eleyna. "Unless you'd rather sleep with me or Lock? I'm ok either way."

"Yeah... I guess..." Abisk said. "I guess if you think it's our best move, lead the way..."

"Right..." Kei lead the way to the inn. When she walked in, she noticed Vash, Lock, Black, and Elyna were all there already. "H-hey everyone..." She was a little embarrassed to be so late.

"Oh hey there Kei. You guys aren't that late, we just got back. Listen, we decided that we're gonna go fight the first floor boss, and we came back since we decided it would be better if all of us fought it, so we'd have a better chance of making it out safely."

Listen, we found a sidequest where we're gonna fight a boss, and we came back since we decided it would be better if all of us fought it, so we'd have a better chance of making it out safely." He then noticed a new woman with them(Wolf). "Uh, so.......who's that?"

(Oh ok then. So, ill fix up my comment)

Because she was a ninja, Aether was enjoying food in the inn at the moment, having lost the motivation to practice. Lounging inside the main area, she was not really pay - are you serious? She wsa pretending to not give a crap, but the moment "first floor boss" was said, she started to pay attention.

Such information would be useful...plus...she couldn't defeat the boss on her own.

Abisk stood silent, though I slight blush came to him and he recalled the day's more enjoyable events, at least until the mention of the boss. "...That's nearly impossible... We're still a way's away from the floor dungeon with the boss in it... And nearly no one would have tried to make the long trek there on the first day, so unless some random beta tester mapped all the way to the Boss Room and got lucky with having Kayaba not change the location of the boss room all in one day... There is no way..."

Wolf heard voices outside her room and she got up from her bed and walked out to see other people. She looked at Kei and Abisk.

 

"I'm guessing these are your team mates?" She asked.

"All right then, sounds like a plan." Lock said, and sent a PM to Abisk telling him that they were heading back to the inn, and that Elyna was with them. "We can talk more about this once we get to the inn. Feel free to follow us if you want." Lock said to Elyna. Lock was pretty sure Abisk would have just as good of an idea of where the boss was as this girl, but decided they'd need as much help as they could get. Sure, she was an orange player, but behind her confident demeanor, Lock could tell she was nervous, and wanted people to accept her. Besides, odds were she became an orange player before she knew she was trapped in the game. Lock knew of plenty of players from other MMO's that loved playing the bad guy, in-game.  

 

He then started walking back to the village they'd just come from, hoping he was right about Elyna.

Elyna started to show a little smile when Lock ask her that she could follow them "Elyna, they have their backs turned now, quickly finish them!" said Elyna's split personality inside Elyna's head. Elyna had her blade at the ready to stab Lock as their backs were turned, but Elyna's hand was shaking "N-no" thought Elyna as she shook her head trying to rid herself of the voice in her head & then managed to quickly put away her blade without anyone noticing that she drew it in the first place. Elyna was now following them back into town. While they were walking to the inn Elyna was feeling kinda happy around them, as tho she was meant be to with them. When they made it to the inn Vash spoke about Elyna's sleeping arrangements at the inn, Elyna looked at Vash with a weird face for a seconded "Vash is it? I'm not alone you know" said Elyna as Ray her little green dragon popped it's head out from her brown cloak giving off a little bit of an angry sound while staring at Vash "Sorry about that Vash, Ray can be a little bit protective of me" said Elyna as Ray coiled back under her brown cloak.

 

Elyna gave a bit of thought about her sleeping arrangements & wouldn't mind sleeping with either to be honest, but Elyna decided to make a game of it. Elyna grabbed both Lock's hand & Vash's hand & drew them close to one another "Okay then, play a game of rock-paper-scissors to see who I'll sleep with, hee hee, it'll be fun to watch" said Elyna eager to see the winner. Then Elyna noticed Abisk & Keimei enter the inn & Abisk then spoke about the boss, Elyna waited until he was finished to speak to him "That's where your wrong Abisk...unlike you there are people, small guild's even, that have spent there time trying to track down the boss so they could escape quicker. Or at least tell others about it's location so that stronger players like me can try our luck at helping others escape faster. As a former beta tester you should now it's our duty to find the boss first after we get strong. And unlike you I've got special info on a route that will take us to the boss's location in no time & all we have to do is go through a little booby trapped dungeon" said Elyna feeling a little annoyed at Abisk for not believing her, but then again she thought Abisk would never trust her whether it was a lie or the truth she told. Elyna then gave a yawn "Guess I'm more sleepy than I thought, haha" said Elyna as she rubbed her eye's a bit.

(It took them months of searching to find it in the orignal, we are shortening the time a bit, but we aren't going to do the impossible)"Look, whoever gave that info, they're lying." Abisk looked Elyna in the eyes. "It took a hell of a lot of time just to map the first few areas of the dungeon, do you think its even really remotely possible to have already found it? Especially if its a "boobytraped dungeon." He told her.

"Yeah, this is the rest of the guild. Well..." She looked at Elyna. "From what the others are saying, she's temporarily joining us..."

Aether frowned. Abik was right, honestly. There was no way she coulda found the boss on the second day. It was a miracle she managed to get to level eleven, but she had spent a long time with all the easy quests and farming everything she could. Sighing softly, Aether stood up and made some noise as she pushed her chair in, then headed over to the group.

"You all looking for the boss's lair?"

"The first floor boss? Isn't the boss dungeon supposed to be really difficult to get through? How have people cleared the way there already...?" She asked, a bit confused.

Lock blushed, "Um, I don't know..." Lock said to Elyna, desperately trying to find a way out of this predicament. She was cute, but he wasn't comfortable sleeping in a room with some strange girl, especially in a room with only one bed. It was then that he noticed Wolf. "Oh, I know, how about you bunk with Wolf for tonight? It will make things a little less... akward." Lock finally said. [Hopefully we'll get to an inn with multiple beds per room soon.] he thought to himself.

Ryonne rushed back into the fight, activating a spinning sword skill, which killed off the goblins that surrounded the last cat man. It swung at him, but Ryonne stepped back to dodge the attack. He stepped forward into the enemy's guard, and sliced down, then pulled his sword out, finishing off the last monster. Ryonne took another breath, then turned back to Sikiro. "First fight of the dungeon. I'd say that went well. In any case, we better get going." Ryonne said, slamming his sword back into its sheath. He turned, and began walking farther into the labyrinth.

Wolf nodded and listened to their conversation about the boss until Aether came in. Wolf raised her eye brow.

"Wait hold up. Who is this new person?" He turned to Kei and Abisk. "You guys adopted another person? Ok then, so there's me, Black, Lock, Elyna, That new person, and you 2, thats 7 people now. How much more can we take, i'm sure we're reaching the cap on how many people we can have in a party, right? Unless you guys plan on making a guild."

Wolf felt taken aback slightly at his remark.

"H-hey, no need to fight..." Kei tried to calm Wolf down. "This is Wolf, she's with us now." Kei showed a bit of interest when Vash brought up a guild. "A guild... Well, I mean, I guess it would be an interesting idea and all... Do we need one, though?"

Sikiro twirled his blade and slapped it into its sheathe. "Quite. I believe we work well as a team and with this Switch mechanic." He sighed, watching Ryonne walk off for a moment before walking after him. The dungeon itself was long and arduous; unlike most beginning-game dungeons he had experienced. Maybe that was the point. A way to shatter any remaining rose-colored glasses. This entire world is dangerous. There's no learning curve. You either team up and fight your way, or die.

"H-hey, no need to fight..." Kei tried to calm Wolf down. "This is Wolf, she's with us now." Kei showed a bit of interest when Vash brought up a guild. "A guild... Well, I mean, I guess it would be an interesting idea and all... Do we need one, though?"

 

Wolf crossed her arms. She didn't like the sound of making a guild.

 

"Hm..." She hummed to herself.

"I'm just here to find and beat the boss." Aether stated. "Thats about it."

As Ryonne and Sikiro trekked through the dungeon, Ryonne thought on what had been going on. Lots of things had occurred of course, but reviewing them helped him out sometimes.  First, he started playing, and thought the game was cool. Then, the announcement. After that, he met Sikiro. From there, they had grinded for a while. And now they were here. Ryonne sighed heavily at the situation. They were still only on the first floor... and there were 99 harder ones to come. Hoping to make conversation, Ryonne spoke up. "So, Sikiro, why'd you get SAO in the first place?" He asked, not stopping his walk.

"I say we wait until we beat the first boss before we decide whether or not to form a guild. That way we have time to learn whether we work well together or not." Lock said, afraid that the idea of forming a guild might drive away the newer members.

Lock blushed, "Um, I don't know..." Lock said to Elyna, desperately trying to find a way out of this predicament. Black became nervous when the group began to discuss between them... Of course it bringed memories of the days before being trapped here on the game. However, the idea of a guild didn´t sounded bad.... 

 

"Mmm... well for now I think we only are a group, I don´t think a guild would be a bad idea, however first things come first; We need to face the idea of defeat the first boss. The more time we spend of this game.... I´m with Lock´s idea, after defeating the boss we can choose. But... what do you think Abisk?" Black said looking at him. "You are almost like the leader... so... what do you think about it?"

Wolf put her hands behind her head. She remembered that she had leveled up during her training. She was now level 12.

 

'And the dungeon to beat the boss, you have to be level 11... Hmm...' She thought to herself and nodded. She looked at Kei.

 

"Hm.. Well I have one thing to say. I'm gonna get some rest. I'm drained." She looked at the others and saw that they looked tired as well. "I think all of us should get rest. But it's just a suggestion."

 

Wolf smiled and nodded politely at the other team members and walked back to her room, closing the door behind her.
