Ninfia or Nympheon is the first of two Eevee evolutions to be introduced in Pokemon X and Y. Much like Umbreon in Gen II was one of the first known Dark type pokemon, Nympheon of Gen VI is one of the first Light type pokemon. Much like the Dark, Pyschic, Fighting and the Grass, Water, Fire trinities, Light pokemon complete a trinity with Dragon and Steel types. As when Magnemite and Magneton retroactively had Steel added to their types, most of the Fairy egg group will have Light added as a secondary type, such as Chansey, Audino, and Clefairy.

Because all that totally points to ninfia being a flying type

 

and why would they stop doing the whole "eeveeutions are special based pokemon" thing, light sounds like a special type. Warrant this was the 1-3rd Gen.

Hey it helps, it shows wind direction.

 

Because why wouldn't they? Were almost done with Eeveelutions with SP attacks, I think they might go Physical. Just a hunch.

Exactly, you just proved my point.

It doesn't have to do with wings, it can just fly. The others have pollen, balloon, lakitu....santa....but they atleast find a way to be Flying types, just like Ninfia will.

I looked it up, and none of the Japanese names for the eeveelutions end in "-eon".  Umbereon is Blackie if you can believe that...

Never Used, it's a competitive term for Pokemon that nobody likes to use, due either to bad stats or plain dislikes.

It probably get super effectively hit by Psychic, Ghost and Dark, the types that Dark types barely get hurt by or is immune to.

I think light would be super effective against ghost.  In the one ep the gastly couldn't stand to be in the sun.
