Nintendo have announced Pokemon X and Pokemon Y for the Nintendo 3DS. They will both be released worldwide on October 12, 2013.

 

Did you really guys expected something badass in 1st stage evolutions????

 

It's been like this since Gen 1....just look at Ivysaur,it's a Bulbasaur with a bigger flower.Servine is a little bit taller version of Snivy....etc

 

It's only in their final evolution when we'll know for sure if they're badass or not.

 

So I think I'll save my final judgement when I see their last evolutions in action

I know but I'm worried that Chespins final stage will just be a huge mole kind of how Tepig ending up being and then I'll end up being disappointed. Better just be on the safe side and get Froakie cause he looks so cool now!

I'll get Froakie or Fenniken because I already got Samurott and Meganium before so I might end up picking Fenniken if his last stage evo is FirePsychic.

cool! Well if we got lucky the final stages will be revealed before the game comes out, so thats when I'll decide which starter I'll pick. Maybe Chespin final EVO will be cool.

Wow, that's an odd evolution for Fennekin. Don't know if I want to pick Fenniken as a starter now. Also, was it confimed that Fenniken will be a fire and fighting type Pokemon like all the previous fire-type Pokemon have been?

No there was no confirmation, but there was a Pokébeach rumour that has been correct all along so Fennekin has a chance of becoming a Fire/Psychic type. 

Yeah, I'm still getting Fennekin (might choose to keep it that way).  But wouldn't it be funny if, let's say, someone was going to choose Chespin but switched to Frokie instead and then Frokie's final evo was really lame and Chespin's was awesome?
