Hopes for Kingdom Hearts 3 linear fix

Posted

i love the kingdom hearts games and i hold it as my favorite series of all time even higher then final fantasy (even though it's the same thing) but since kingdom hearts 3 is going to be next-gen i want square to make kh III more expansive for each world we visit to be an interactive overworld a sandbox per'se with easter eggs and refrencess to both disney & final fantasy. (there are alot o refrences to ff but there not noticeable like dark thorn is actually a heartless iffrit or the heartless aqua fights at the end of the game is bahamut)

Yeah i get what you mean :) the worlds can be so much bigger now with the new movement system (although i don't know exactly how it's going to work :P ) and especially once you've finished the game the worlds sizes seem a lot smaller. Hopefully this game will have a lot more npc's too :D I love npc's!!! especially ones that give me a laugh :P

Yeah, I get your point. More like the 1st KH game, right? After it the worlds become so small and so easy to explore, with the map you'd finish a world's stories in minute, differently from KHI, where you had to walk, search, etc

Well, all we can do is hope they make it less like the more recent KH games, like KH3D and BBS, the worlds were very easy to explore in those..

Personally I'd love more of a Sandbox system for the kingdom hearts levels. It wouldn't have to be as big as Grand Theft Auto's virtual miles of space but there could be enough room for more stuff like side quests other things that make the level playable after the story section is over.

Wait, what? I dunno about you, but KH2's worlds are the largest to explore by far. Did you not get to the Pride Lands? Or China? The side games were small, sure, but what do you expect from handheld titles?

Like the one in KH2 when the guy hints about having sex on Sunset Hill?"Have you been to Sunset Hill? The sunset there is breathtaking! Long ago, my wife and I would...uh, never mind."

going from poin a to poin b was rather dissapointin in the begging it's rather exillerating but oppon further inspection you begging to notice the flows. i understand where your comming from like the size pridelands but traveling & exploring in empty space with only 4 npc to talk to thrughout the world is rathe tideous

i hope they expand on npc's because they need ALOT of work like olympus colusium where are the people?why is there no audience in the colusium or the stugglefights? why is there only 5 npc's or less per world even if it's a city? right always makes me wonder

Except Tron was a pain for the first time.

space paranoid was ultra liniar and soo short

I didn't think KH2 was going from point A to point B, regardless of the seemingly obvious route I always choose to explore and look around before moving on, I just want fairly sized rooms (KHDDDs were too large for the amount of nothing they had in them and too few), loads of areas (I'd rather medium sized rooms but more of them rather than 3 large ones) and a few more NPC characters.  I don't need one in every room but in a city's town hub in the game you'd expect some (like LCDC was completely empty, for a large, city that has thousands of people shown celebrating in the first movie..)

With the map though, since it's pretty much tradition now to include the map, the most you could probably hope for is a way to turn it off as a challenge on yourself or find out the locations of them (if they're all in treasure chests)and choose not to collect them til you find the world. I think DDDs map on the touchscreen was more challenlging than the standard blue and white block one, cause the blue one basically showed you were rooms are (cut off squares with narrow entrances) that you would have missed completely just walking past whereas the DDD one is more realistic so you still have to actually study the map instead of searching every little box on the old maps

You know I meant in 3D? I was lost there for a while.
