im a gamer that loves beyond LOVES RPGS. but after thinking about it for a while i realized that the reason i like rpgs is becouse of the story. yeah i like the gameplay too but 75% of the reason i play an rpg is the story.

WARNING: if you want you can just stop reading here and tell us why you like RPGs. the next part is just pointless and i only put it there to get it out there. no need to read it if you dont wanna. why are RPGs SO AWESOME!?!?

i started FF7 like a year ago and just sorta stoped after like 85% into disc one. (from what ive played its an amazing game! like REALLY!) i keep wondering why i stoped. i want to get back into it but i totally forgot what part of the story im up too and still dont think id finish it. i also want to get into fire emblem becouse of wonderfull word of mouth. (my friend josh absolutely LOVES the series and it seems like a nice strategy rpg.)

Because they use your head, have awesome stories, their art is always phenomenal, they actually teach you life lessons and myths et cetera.

RPG's and action role-plays are the best type of video games for those reasons, whell at least in my opinion,

You can't just stop final fantasy 7! You get to your play station right now and beat final fantasy 7, and after you've done that, beat all the weapons, and after you've done that, PLAY IT MORE!

People love strategy and cause and effect, which would be why people love the gameplay. As for the story, BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS HEARTBREAKING. Why do people like heartbreak, sadness and feels? Who knows. We just want to see the tortured get their happy endings, I guess.

Depends on the game.

beat all the weapons

Uh...

Heartbreaking? Please, I've never played a "heartbreaking" video game. TV series are much more emotional than video games.

Strategy? Pretty basic strategy if any.

I'll be right, I'm still getting over Torchwood.

Some RPGs have really tough strategy. Example, if you physically hit an enemy, they absorb the attack, heal, and throw magic at you. Attack them with Magic, they counter attack with a one hit K.O. Physical attack.  The only way to defeat them would be to have a large quantity or revives and various types of magic.

RPGs are awesome because they let me live out my greatest dream:

Become a BA hero with a team of super-powered friends that slaughter monsters with swords and magic (and more!) and save the world.

Seriously a recipe for success in my eyes. Then of course there is the story, the characterization, the battle system, and the boss fights.

Because most of them have amazingly beautiful soundtracks

RPGs are awesome because most of them are "well -produced" .

Its that dream like sense of fantasy and imagionation that goes with playing them, I think....

That, espesally, helped draw me into pokemon quite a bit when I was younger.
