February 11, 201411 yr Yes, the review is worrying, but it's not time to panic yet. Yeah, but if the ending sucked,I'll return the game and get my money back and make it literally like this
February 11, 201411 yr i dont really see why the reviewer wants lively characters. the world is kinda about to end, i would be surprised if they were lively.

Well in Final Fantasy VII the world was almost coming to an end when Meteor was approaching...yet the world was still lively and we've seen how everyone reacted to the approach of the meteor....from people trying to live as happily as possible to the depressed people who gave up hope. There is no difference between doomsday in LRFFXIII and MeteorFall in FFVII except for one thing: Characters like Cid,Barret,Red XIII and even Cloud himself who's been traumatized during this adventure, are still feels lively and full of personality and they didn't behave like a rock like what Lightning is doing right now I just hope they won't ruin Sazh's character....he was literally the best character in the XIII trilogy in my opinion Edited February 11, 201411 yr by Metal Snake

February 11, 201411 yr Maybe Square Enix were trying to avoid it being anymore similar to VII. That doesn't equal making a character has no personality

I believe, but not really sure, that everyone knows that the world will end in Lightning returns so people are handling it differently by either partying and living out the last of their lives or hopefully by being a little more solemn i would hate an end of the world scenario where no one is at least a little depressed.
February 11, 201411 yr Yikes this is hurting my chances of getting the game with the low amount of reviews out there. I'll get it to try it out, but I don't think I'll last to the end. I'm a sucker for story and gameplay, more on story. If it doesn't do at least a decent job, then damn.

IT'S RIGHT THERE IN THE SKY HOW DON'T EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT!!! Almost every NPC I talk to in disc 2 of FFVII talks about the coming of Meteor,I've finished the game a week ago and I still remember it the music in some towns changes to reflect that. Some shops in the game like the one in Costa Del Sol are doing an End of the World sales My issue with the characters in LRFFXIII as I've noticed from the demo is Lightning herself sounds very lifeless and robotic unlike her performance in XIII where she was at least a believable character It's clear here that Ali Hillis didn't have much fun voicing Lightning her unlike when she voiced her in XIII or heck like any other characters she did like Palutena from Kid Icarus Uprising Edited February 11, 201411 yr by Metal Snake

February 11, 201411 yr Lightning was basically always a boring character. But NOT to this extent dude At least in XIII she was displaying some emotions...here she's a robot...no wait scratch that that's an insult to robots Megaman X is a robot( a reploid) and he has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more personality than Lightning in this game

I think they wanted Lightning like this.
February 11, 201411 yr Author Troy Baker- that's all you need Ali Hillis and the Aussie women are pretty good too.
February 11, 201411 yr Ali Hillis and the Aussie women are pretty good too.Don't know who Ali voices, but Fang has an awesome voice
February 11, 201411 yr Author Don't know who Ali voices, but Fang has an awesome voice Lightning of course! Yep, Fang and Vanille have great Aussie voice actresses.

She looks passionate yeah but not as passionate as she was in the interviews for XIII in 2010...or when she and Troy Baker came to voice Lightning and Snow when the game was showcased in a gaming convention before XIII's release Seeing her looking passionate in the interviews and in front of people is a bigger proof than a twitter post
