Posted February 15, 201411 yr So, in the end of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Lightning and her companions end up in a world that is quite similar to Earth As we know, Final Fantasy XV takes place in a world very similar to our own. Could the two worlds be one and the same, but separated by enough time for Lighting to be long dead? Sorry for the spoilerception, but I wanted to be absolutely sure those reading wanted spoilers. February 15, 201411 yr Motomu Toriyama has said she could appear as a guest in a future FINAL FANTASY game. FINAL FANTASY XV is also in Fabula Nova Crystallis. Well I'm sold. Lightning Returns in FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, FINAL FANTASY XV and Kingdom Hearts III. Getting a bit overboard? Sure but oh well.
February 15, 201411 yr Fool. FF XV was originally suppose to take place in the same setting as FF XIII, but in a different universe. It used to be a FFXIII game after all.
February 15, 201411 yr I read just the other day that someone said XIII and XV only have the same mytho, but they are not set in the same universe. The games aren't directly related.
February 15, 201411 yr That would be cool if Lightning appeared in Final Fantasy 15 though Toriyama would be drooling all over her for FF15
February 17, 201411 yr Isn't the point of each main title supposed to be that they're all in separate universes?
February 17, 201411 yr Isn't the point of each main title supposed to be that they're all in separate universes? And yet, Lightning.
February 17, 201411 yr What's your point? Square changed the rules. Anything can happen. The minute they announced Versus to be FFXV, that was clear. It's in the same universe (or in an alternate one that's based on Fabula Nova) and turn-based gameplay is completely gone now. There's no standard anymore. And I can totally see Toriyama shoe-horning Lightning into the game somewhere. Edited February 17, 201411 yr by Kaweebo
February 17, 201411 yr Versus/XV is along the path of Type-0...same mythological base, different universes. I don't get what the constant whining about Toriyama is about, but I doubt he'd just shoehorn her into a completely separate game.
February 18, 201411 yr Come on guys we all no this is Lightning Cough Cough jk I wouldn't be surprised lol if that ended up as Lightning.
February 18, 201411 yr Author Lightning die? How old would she have to be? A billion? After they defeat Bunivelze everyone goes back to how they were before the Chaos was unleashed. In other words, Hope goes back to being an adult and Lightning is no,longer an immortal goddess. Edited February 18, 201411 yr by Isamu_Kuno
