Official Bowtie Artist 90 Posted February 16, 2014 ...Riku making it to Destiny Islands? In 358/2 Days, you see Riku in several cutscenes, showing him on the Islands he and Sora both grew up on. So why has he NEVER mentioned it to Sora or Kairi? Also, being how 358/2 Days near the beginning takes place AFTER Kingdom Hearts 1, and taking place therefore after Kairi has returned to the Islands...did Kairi notice Riku there? Either she didn't, or she swore not to tell Sora. Being how memories of Sora were erased for a time, Riku's was not, so I don't believe it had much to do with anyone from the Islands forgetting about him. That contradicts what I just asked though, seeing how Kairi wouldn't have sworn not to tell Sora if she didn't remember him...hmm... Anyways... Thoughts? Kaweebo 3,617 Posted February 16, 2014 What are you saying? Riku only visited the 'play island' as I like to call it. He never visited the main island they they literally grew up on in 358. Even if he did, it's not like Kairi absolutely had to have seen him while he was there. And remember, Riku was TRYING to stay out of sight because he didn't want the Organization to notice him. Not to mention that if he went to see Kairi, they could trace him to her. I'm not sure why Riku would mention it, anyway. "Oh, by the way guys, when Sora was in a coma and everything, I hung out with some weird girl on the islands for a bit. It's no biggie, though." 6 Anonn0000, Col.Random, Jilly Shears and 3 others reacted to this
Percseus 52 Posted February 16, 2014 i do not think that time is really relevant anymore plus Riku was trying to hide and not get caught by anyone so I am sure Kairi did not see them.
Official Bowtie Artist 90 Posted February 16, 2014 Riku only visited the 'play island' as I like to call it. He never visited the main island they they literally grew up on in 358. Well, I did phrase that incorrectly. I guess its where WE as players first started growing up with the three characters. Also, being how the play island was where we at most times saw the trio, and as what is most related to Destiny Islands rather than the main island, which we only see twice in KH2. Riku was TRYING to stay out of sight because he didn't want the Organization to notice him. Not to mention that if he went to see Kairi, they could trace him to her. Somehow, that skipped my mind. Thank you for pointing that out. Since I'm still VERY new to these kind of posts, I don't know how to add the name to Quote option, so I'm just going to say, username : Percseus, as much as the time may not be relevant to the plot any longer, I still wanted a little bit of feedback on the event anyways. I thank both of you for said feedback. 1 Kaweebo reacted to this
Ruby Rose 8,591 Posted February 16, 2014 I like the fact no one ever saw Xion there if she went there as often as she claimed Or maybe some people did and they just forgot ._.

Riku never went to the main island in Days, and in KH2, Kairi said that she made a promise to herself to never go back to the island that she played with Sora on until she remembered who he was because she felt so guilty for forgetting someone that important. Does that clear things up? Edited February 16, 2014 by King.Mickey
Col.Random 3,683 Posted February 16, 2014 I like the fact no one ever saw Xion there if she went there as often as she claimedOr maybe some people did and they just forgot ._. That's pretty much it. Besides, not many people actually knew who she was so i doubt they'd really care.

Besides, not many people actually knew who she was so i doubt they'd really care. This is true, no one seemed to care that Sora and Riku were gone- either that or they assumed the two drowned and gave up on them before they returned in II

LeYenrz 276 Posted February 19, 2014 nah actually people's memories of Sora and Riku were erased so noone would know they had gone missing. Something like that.Ask Flaming Lea, she'll know the answer While Sora was going through his coma during the events of Re:CoM and Days, Namine took all of his memories out of his body so she could rearrange them. That meant that all of the people connected to him would forget their version of Sora's memories also. So that's pretty much why everyone was like: "Who the heck is Sora?"
