In LIGHTNING RETURNS, since I can't even defeat the final boss' third form (he has four forms) I'm thinking of using New Game+ which can apparently be accessed near Mog after you lose to the final boss. And considering I want this over and done with I'll play on Easy Mode.

 

Anyone got some thoughts or tips on this?

I played through on Normal Mode and can't defeat the final boss.

Of course, there's tons of videos of it on YouTube.

I always play on the easiest mode possible- unless it's a Kingdom Hearts game or there's greater item drops and exp the tougher you go, like Tales of Graces f

Easy mode is very strategic. Where as normal you have little chance of beating the game unless you like doing the side quests. Run through easy mode as fast as you can, using the time stop ability wisely. Then make sure when you have extra time, get as many side quests as you can. I'm on easy mode right now and so far it's working.

Lol, I swapped to Easy Mode after losing several days to Snow because he refused to drop any health during the final phase of his battle, even though I used strong abilities that he was weak to.

Hey guys its ok. im in a final fantasy group of like 2967 ppl and quite frankly a lot of people in that group couldn't beat the guy on easy. its insanely difficult. there is no shame on this one.

There is absolutely no shame in playing through easy mode. Especially in the Final Fantasy series. I'm considered a "weak" gamer. Because I ALWAYS start on the easiest mode possible, and work my way up.

Wasn't too much hard for me, Final boss is joke to  many FF superbosses and chaos.

Guessing you've never played the game. You can't level up, you get stat boosts from completing side quests.

I'm doing easy mode when I get this game next month until I understand how the game works the. Will try challenge mode or normal whatever one is next.

Well the game encourages you strongly to do side quests, especially if your doing a harder difficulty. Im following the advice, and things are going fine. With my new set up that let me easily beat caius and the new set up i plan on using for the secret bosses, i dont think ill have a hard time beating Bhuni.

I wouldn't call them secret bosses. Maybe the one in the Dead Dunes, but the Earth and Chocobo Eaters are encouraged for different reasons.

I know, im nt talking about the Earth and Chocobo Eaters. I meant the dragon in dead dunes, and another secret boss that you can fight if you manage to extend the life of the world to 14 days. I wont spoil though.
