Posted February 24, 201411 yr I was thinking that Square Enix might pull a 1.5 at the end of KH2FM and have a new credits cutscenes showing probably an HD version of Dream Drop Distance(if that'll ever happen) or a sneak peak of some cutscenes of KH3.
February 24, 201411 yr Nah ....Firstly , I don't think there's gonna be an HD version of DDD . Secondly , a sneak peak of KHIII cutscenes won't happen (The last one will only happen in a "trailer form" ). Edited February 24, 201411 yr by Nick Sideris
February 24, 201411 yr Famitsu: Speaking of which, Kingdom Hearts 3D isn't getting an HD remaster. Nomura: The HD remastered versions are meant to recap the story leading to Kingdom Hearts III. While we're remastering the series, it’s a shame that only one won't be in HD, but Kingdom Hearts III picks up where Kingdom Hearts 3D leaves off so it’s an important title to the series, you can’t forget about it.
February 24, 201411 yr Maybe there will be a cutscene leading to KH3D, as Nomura did say that there will be a cutscene leading to KH3D.

That's one version of translation, certainly. Anyway, I don't expect it. I'd be genuinely surprised and would probably throw all of my cash at the TV screen, but I don't think that will happen.
February 24, 201411 yr If anything, I think there will be a hidden message shown that leads into KH3, that we don't know about yet. Maybe it would hint at the theme of KH3. But I don't think it will be something huge. And I also noticed that the home screen of KH1.5 where you are about to click on the game to play it, that there was KH2.5 hints, such as Jack Sparrow and a picture of Sora in Re: Coded
February 24, 201411 yr Maybe in the scene that leads to KH3D it shows Riku getting his haircut. x D Since it's sort of a random change without them talking about it at all...

The credits showed previews of KH2.5.

Too be fair though, Nomura has flat out lied during interviews about what is in production before. Not that your quote isn't solid evidence of KH3D HD not happening, but I'm not necessarily going to take Nomura for his word on this one. There's no way KH3 is coming out in 2015, and KH3D is too crucial to KH3 to not recap for the general masses.

There's no way KH3 is coming out in 2015, and KH3D is too crucial to KH3 to not recap for the general masses. but there's literally no point in making a HD remaster of KH3D atm, it just came out 2 years ago and square enix wouldn't waste their resources on something that minuscule compared to KH3. it also looks really amazing on the 3DS already and even though it would look better if there was an HD remaster, it just doesn't make sense to make an hd remaster of one game compared to the 3 in the .5 series and a game that looks great already at that. I think if anything there might be a little recap in KH3 that explains KH3D but that's just being optimistic

I think if anything there might be a little recap in KH3 that explains KH3D but that's just being optimistic Not trying to pick a fight, but I truly do not understand the arguments against a KH3D from happening. Common points are:-It's too soon to have an HD remakeThe Final Mixes always came out a year or so from the original. If this were to happen, it would "likely" release in 2015, 3 years from the original release. If everything goes as planned, then 2.5 will release 4 years after BBS's initial release (3 from BBS Final Mix). Of all the reasons for KH3D HD not to happen, the "too soon" argument is complete bs when it comes to Square Enix, since they obviously do not care.-It's exclusive to a Nintendo deviceThis hasn't stopped them from putting Days and Coded in the collections, albeit in movie form. As great a 3DS game as KH3D is, I think it is safe to assume at this point in its age that it is not moving the console off the shelf.-Square wouldn't waste resourcesThis I could agree with... if there weren't already resources set aside for something like this. I don't know how many people or who, but there is SOMEONE working on these HD collections while the bulk of the Osaka team works on KH3. And this would only be 1 game to HD-ify, so I can't imagine it would take as long as these past two HD collections.-KH3D HD isn't as important as working on KH3Agreed, but let's be honest, NONE of these HD collections are as important as working on KH3. I would rather they had skipped these collections all together and focused that extra manpower to KH3. But the truth is that they did make these in order to catch people up, and KH3D arguably is the most important game to have people play (both story wise and gameplay wise) as it is a major foreshadow of what is to come.-It looks great already on the 3DSYeah it does look great.... on the 3DS, because it was initially designed for the 3DS. The graphics are crap when compared to other KH games, especially when compared to the HD collections. The 3D in the game is nice, but you really don't lose anything substantial when you take that gimmick out. Any bottom screen mechanics could be fixed as well.-It isn't worth just releasing an HD port of 1 gameAgreed, it would be a waste. That why they could just make the game downloadable. They could also throw in some extra scenes or something KH3 related to entice people to purchase it.I honestly think we're just going to get a brief recap in KH3 like you said. It's only when these points are raised that make me think that a KH3D HD could happen. Sigh... oh well, we can dream at least.

This is a very important story that may need to come to playstation to understand KH3. Edit: Nvm everything is said above me. Edited March 1, 201411 yr by KH4Real
