Handhelds will never stop being created in our entire lifetime and probably 10 lifetimes or more, so I'm not too worried about it.

There are several GBA and DS games that still outdo main title console games with all their graphics.

I'd like to see that continue. And I'm pretty sure there are no plans to stop handhelds anytime soon. Sooo yeah. Not sure why it's even a speculation.

The Vita was pretty weak at first, but I personally feel it's gradually getting more and more good games

The 3DS is already a beautiful console with amazing games, no qualms there

If I didn't have to keep shelling out money for new consoles that would be the day, but only if the current consoles would continue to receive new games

At the same time, I like getting more advanced handheld consoles with advanced game capabilities and better graphics

I wouldn't care and it's doubtful that handhelds will die out anytime soon

They're always going to have to release new handhelds especially Nintendo since the hardware is shit.

You asked a hypothetical question- I answered it

Sure it would make getting a hold of games easier considering it would either go to WiiU,PS4,XBOX ONE, and/PC but the downside is we'd be stuck with mobile gaming for on the go play

We'd be getting PS5 around that point. We'd probably have the other two before then. Smartphones and tablets are becoming more and more common.

Well there's always talk about it, and handheld gaming isn't as strong as it was last gen due to smartphones and tablets being more common and having better hardware.

People love portable shit, especially future people if the movies have anything to say lolol

But anyway, i love handhelds, lets me play kh while waiting for my non-nerd friends

I would mind. While I love my 3DS and sorta admire my Vita I think that it'd be a pity to see it simply be the last generation of handhelds.

As long as there is a demand for true dedicated handheld gaming devices then they'll be around. Plus even if Sony give up, Nintendo won't.
