March 6, 201412 yr But he at least gave it a shot . Some people aren't even willing to try before judging things .Just sayin' People judging FF13 without playing it? NEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEER.
March 6, 201412 yr Lightning Returns was good imo. My only problem with the game is how the FFXIII (and FFXIII-2) cast is lacking their old personalities. But a few characters were actually well done such as (just the names)... Fang, Snow and Hope. Now for the reason why... Fang was literally her old self, she SOUNDED like her old self. I loved the way she acted in the first game so I'm happy they kept it here. Snow still had his old charisma even though he is distraught. Hope...I just like his character. And I never got why everyone hates him in every game (except XIII-2, where people loved him). In FFXIII, the kid lost his mom before his very eyes at a young age. What did you expect him to act like? Sugar and rainbows? In LR:FFXIII, the kid got his emotions taken away (as well as Lightning) so no emotion there, but it was still fun hearing his conversations with Lightning. Now for the characters I didn't like or I expected a bit more... Sazh and Vanille For the reason why... I love Sazh, but he lost all his charisma. I mean, when he lost Dajh and he doesn't know where he went, he was still smiling and funny. But in this game, Dajh is right there, and he is depressed as firetruck. But near the end he at least is himself again, which I like. I wished to see more of that. Its understandable, but I kind of wanted more of happy and funny Sazh. I always loved Vanille, one of my favourites. But here she is super sad and super dramatic, its like her (hilarious) narrations in the first game splattered all over the place. Of course it was all a ruse in FFXIII, but come on, there has to still be some perky Vanille in there. The rest were alright.

About your last spoiler- And besides, we got like, no time at all with Sazh. I feel like we got about five minutes in total where we were even able to see him on screen. Same problem with Caius. I mean, the last two of the five minutes with Sazh were refreshing, because it felt like his old self again, but we got like NO time with him. You're right about Snow, Hope, and Fang though. The scene after Snow's battle was emotional, Hope's dialogue during gameplay is entertaining, and Fang got an excellent amount of screen time. So I agree with you completely.
March 6, 201412 yr Thanks lmao, I just can't leave my opinions without explanations. I'm the same way. That's why I appreciate that in others .

And I would have loved more time with characters like Fang and Vanille (Aussie women ftw!) and Sazh. As for Sazh, of course he's going to be depressed, he's had his son taken away from him before multiple times and now he's spent hundreds of years trying to wake him up. Did you forget that Vanille had all those souls speaking to her? No one could possibly imagine what that would be like.

I see what you're saying, but Vanille's s situation was just as depressing in the first game (if I remember correctly), and she was still smiling and being happy then. She should have at least shown a bit of that here, so I partially agree with Shana. That being said, I don't particularly mind Vanille in this game.

I know that, but I wanted more quests with his happy-side. I like his happy side better. I know Vanille was having those souls speaking to her, that is why I wrote "I expected a bit more". When I saw Vanille I was really happy to see her, but instead she wasn't her "happy" self but instead depressed. IMO I liked her FFXIII self better than her LR:FFXIII self. I wasn't say it was bad, I just rather have her happy.
March 6, 201412 yr Author Fair enough but my point is that it's no surprise he didn't enjoy it considering the way he was about it. I said before I was skeptical I didn't approach the game with immediate hate at all I liked the demo when I played it,but the final product pissed me off beyond belief again, review is coming soon
