Why I hope PlayStation Now is very successful

Posted

In five years, the PlayStation 3 will be dead. And since it's architecture is so different to the PlayStation 4, emulation is sadly impossible. So PlayStation Now is very important. I seriously doubt developers want to port all their games to PlayStation 4. Sure they'd be able to make them native 1080p rather than native 720p, but it would be a waste of time and money. So we need PlayStation Now to be very successful obviously.

While I hope for the best for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo ( since I game on their platforms), I feel like PlayStation Now is a rip off because if I wanted to play old PlayStation 1-3 and Vita games I would just keep/buy those systems instead of paying for a streaming service every year, its bad enough that people have to pay for online on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 now they want us to pay for all these extra shit

no thanks

at the same time these is their form of backward compatibility, so it sucks for the people who already traded in their PlayStation systems. These is their only way to play old PlayStation games. So I can see the benefit of these for some people, but I will take the cheaper and smarter route by just keeping my systems.

PlayStation Plus is one of the biggest steals in gaming if used correctly.

Actually, PSOne and PS2 games can be emulated, and there are reports that they will at some point release an update for it.

But I do agree to keep your old consoles. I'm speaking in terms of people who miss out on these games now.

It really depends on each gamers situation, while some PlayStation fans still keep their systems others don't so I really don't know if this will work or not.

I am pretty sure Sony will find a way for this to work.

I hope PlayStation Now is successful on PS3 and PS4 so that it expands to PC's and other devices. I don't want to buy old hardware to play a few games, so having the option of streaming to my PC would be cool. I'll probably have a PS4 by the time they expand the scope of PlayStation Now, so it probably wouldn't benefit me much, but having the option to use my PC for PS3 games would be cool.

Sora96 I could just kiss you. I also hope with all my heart Playstation Now is successful because I missed out on alot of games because money was tight so I organized buying games in priority
