Radiant Garden

Keyblade Academy

Indy made his way through the academy halls, glancing around at the rooms he passed by. I was told to meet with a teacher in the Gummi hangar... They said that there would be other students, too. What's so urgent that they'd call a few of us there? Is there something going on in other worlds...? Maybe they even have a mission for us... I've always wanted the opportunity to leave Radiant Garden, anyway... He thought to himself as he moved along, pondering what it is that he was ordered to meet there for.

He eventually reached the room, noticing that it was empty. "Hm... Well, I did try to get here early, anyway." He muttered, leaning against a wall. He appeared calm, but his mind was racing. Will I get to visit other worlds? Who else will I be with? Will I have a chance to see Allitt again...? He drifted into deep thought, not taking notice of his surroundings...

(And yes, the other students all received the orders, too.)

Joel's mind could barely comprehend what Rei just did. And then, just like that, she was off, running along while dragging Joel and Ghost behind her.

"Well... that just happened." he said. "Any other things I should know about?"

Why'd I have to tag along? Joel thought. I didn't think they would be this crazy! Lucas, you had better catch up soon! he shouted in his mind.

(Uh lucas was already with Joel, Rei and Ghost when they left. Go back and check my recent post on here. xD)

"Alright." Indy followed Raidyn and Toshi towards the mansion. "Uh... Are you sure it's safe in there, anyway?" He asked, a bit nervous. "Not that I'm scared or anything, but I really don't want to go down having some hundred year old mansion falling on my head."

Cid came following after Indy. "Don't worry! I'm sure it's fiiiiine! Maybe! Possibly! Though if one were to fall on you, I wonder how collateral the damage would be..." Cid then gave what sounded kind of like a crazy person-esque laugh. "The suspense of getting in there is killing me!" Cid then rushed ahead into the mansion.

Raidyn / Toshi

"W-well, I'm kind of scared too, Indy," Toshi told the boy in the red jacket.

"Er... you okay there Cid?" Raidyn asked, raising an eyebrow and smilling wryly at the boy in the green jacket. "You seem off. This mansion isn't that bad anyway," Raidyn asked, looking around the dusty old place. "But man, does it hold some legacy in it... this is where Old Man Roxas met Miss Namine... and where Old Man Sora, Donald, and Goofy, went to the Fake Twlight Town, and then fought Old Man Axel, and THEN went to the World That Never Was for the first time," Raidyn monolouged, a wave of awe washing over his being.

"Yeah... A lot's happened at this place." Indy muttered, looking around in amazement. "I've gotta say, it feels weird being in a place as historic as this one. Makes me wonder if we'll contribute to this place's history...? I don't know if I'll want to be some famous Keyblade master or not..."

(Aight. Fixed.)

Surprised that his armored butt wasn't grounded down to the heavy duty rubber body suit underneath, Ghost giggled as he finally got back on feet and breathed a sigh of relief.

"We have the top of the tower, the inside, and the train yard itself to search. Where first?"

Ghost looked up to the clock-tower and could have sworn he saw something metallic retreating from view. Thinking it was his instructor doing the usual, Ghost smiled at his girlfriend. "Lets try the train yard, then the inside. Save the top of the clock tower for last."

Joel was given a brief moment to gather his bearings. "Let's try the train yard, then the inside," Ghost suggested.

"Work our way from the bottom up..." Joel thought aloud. "Brilliant idea." Also, once we get to the top of the tower, we can scan the whole area for anything, Joel thought.

Rei twirled and stepped into the station. "Let's split up! Joel, go left! Lucas, right! Javelin, search here! I'll go forward!"

And she hopped forward and ended up right over the railing, and soon enough was searching around the trains.

"RIGHT! Im GOING TO THE RIGHT!" Lucas ran to the right.

Rei paused.

"He's weird." She said in regards to Lucas.

She skipped ahead, looking around.

Zale stopped behind Ghost and looked up at the clock tower.

"I agree." Zale said. "If this is an entry point, the rail yards is the most likely focal point."

"Your not going to tell them why you think people are there?" Annistha asked, crossing her arms.

"They would argue." Zale stated. "Best to keep going then get entangled with opinions."

Annistha a orated her disapproval, but dropped the subject.

Annistha looked back up the clock town, grinning.

"Maybe if we can't find anything, we can grab some ice cream for the climb up." She said.

Rei twirled and stepped into the station. "Let's split up! Joel, go left! Lucas, right! Javelin, search here! I'll go forward!"

And she hopped forward and ended up right over the railing, and soon enough was searching around the trains.

Ghost stood there dumbfounded for a moment as Rei hopped away from the team. How does she know what my new nickname was gonna be after earning my sigil and joining the Corps? Shaking off the thought for now, he decided to focus on the task at hand as Annistha remarked on the unusual coincidence on how logical the search plan was. Ghost turned around and pointed to the girl while walking to his assigned search area. "Great idea! Lets do that once we finish our ground level search!"

After leaping into the air and landing on the top of one of the train cars, Ghost kept a sharp lookout for anyone or anything suspicious as he started walking down the column of train cars that stretched out in front of him.

Annistha sighed. It was perhaps best Rei hadn't suggested a course of action to them, as Zale probably wouldn't have listened anyway.

[Nexus Shift]

Zale closed his eyes and sniffed the air. No scents as of yet, but who ever was behind all this might have learned how to mask their scent. He stalked into the train station, making for the train yard, checking each train as he passed.

(Sorry it's been a while... I believe Somrene was with the train station, and Ember was at the mansion...)

Somrene strolled up behind Zale, keeping his senses sharp. Nothing seemed particularly out of place, but then again, he'd never been to Twilight Town, so he wouldn't know if something was. "Everything smell alright so far?" He said, making an offhand comment about Zale's... different investigation method. Somrene himself walked over to a boxcar, and kicked it. It rang hollow. Nothing too large in there. And likely not a person. Definitely not a heartless. They'd get out of a ringing boxcar immediately.

~~~~~
Ember wandered around the front area of the mansion herself, looking over the various wall decorations, while listening in to the conversation at hand. "We better contribute to the history! Mere students, risking our lives on some kind of recon mission. We deserve at least a statue somewhere after this is all done." Ember contributed. She blew some dust off a vase. Unfortunately, the vase fell off the small table, and shattered into a million pieces. She jumped back, before realizing what she had done, at which point, she dashed away, hiding behind Brooklyn. "He did it!" She called, pointing at her hiding spot.
(Teleportation? Owo)"...If I broke it, so help me, let me be struck by natural lighting twelve times in a row." Brooklyn stated, the statistic impossibly of being struck more than three times in a row was quite obvious to himself. "...besides, I'm far from... Clumsy..." Brooklyn muttered, walking over to the broken vase. "I can fix it in a matter of minutes." He stated, obtaining his simple tool set-something he always had in his pack. Regardless of the situation- and set out to work on the vase, first grouping the pieces by size, shape, and probable location, he quickly applied a small, light quick-drying glue drop on the piece, then placed them together. In a few minutes, the vase was again hole. It had cracks in it where it had broken, which he would repair as well, given the time to file, sand, glue, and paint the object. Brooklyn placed the vase back on the appropriate pedistal after being sure the glue had dried completely. He sighed.
[unless the RP host throws in enemies or a boss like one of those crazy keybladers we're after, this is gonna take a while.]
Ghost flinched as Somrene kicked a boxcar, the thunderous echo of the impact coming as a surprise to the not so vigilant student as he whirled around, stopped, then laughed the feelings of panic away. "At least gimme a warning!" Ghost remarked, "You almost gave me a heart attack!" Feeling uneasy, he immediately looked up at the clock tower again, half wanting to know what time it was, the other half expecting something bad to come from above and land an easy hit on him. However, on the short wall that bordered the clock tower high above, he saw the unmistakable glint of his instructor's keyblade armor. Good to see you're still with me. Feeling somewhat at ease that should any student meet the rouge keybladers they wouldn't immediately become another victim to their blade, Ghost continued his search as he jumped off the train of boxcars and onto another train, still looking for anything out of the ordinary.
------
Meanwhile, High above on the clock-tower...
Instructor Striker had a pretty good view of both the old mansion and the trainyard below. Like a vigilant watchbird assisting its owner in a hunt, he kept a sharp lookout for anything suspicious, ready to alert the students below should the need arise.
"You can use the darkness to detect people's 'auras.'" Zale said as he continued looking around. "Best thought of as 'scents.' I use to be real good at it, before me and my sister became body mates."
Somrene's kick didn't seem to phase Zale, though the Nexus Twin laughed loudly at Ghost's reaction.
"Priceless!" He said, grinning.
Joel investigated the left side of the station. Nothing out of the ordinary there. Wait, scratch that - there were no people. For a town, it looks like there aren't many folks about, Joel thought. Maybe there's a widespread flu?
He heard a bit of commotion, and saw the others not too far away. He dismissed it and returned to his searching. Although it was probably bad to wish for something to happen, Joel was already starting to get bored, and he couldn't exactly take a nap here.
Rei then hopped down behind Somrene.
"Hey! Find anything? I didnt, so we can start checking the entire tower from the bottom up. Shouldnt be too hard, with all us!" She said brightly. With a grin and a hop, she again was off to look for her precious Pancakes, her super mega amazing hugtackleglomp ready to fire.
Lucas looked through his side of the train station. All he saw were normal bystanders waiting for the train. "Hmm. Well, i guess i should head back then." He headed back to his friends.
Ghost meanwhile, had just finished scanning the second train of cars as he hopped off the roof of the caboose. Frustrated yet relieved that they didn't find their targets, Ghost started making his way back to the main train station when he felt very strange. The hairs on the back of his neck started to stand on end, and he felt a sharp chill running down his back, but couldn't immediately see why. He stopped cold in his tracks and listened to his surroundings, his breathing dead silent as he tried to figure out just what was causing him to react this way. His commlink beeped, scaring the Sentinel a bit as he shakily checked the message.
Before the student could react, he suddenly found himself biting the cold cement floor with his bubbly, giggling girlfriend sitting right on top of him. "Giff offa meee!" the poor kid mumbled while laying there face down on the floor, shamefully accepting his failure to recognize a sneaky, pink, fuzzy, bunny threat that decided to pounce him from seemingly out of nowhere.
Within the train station, a cloaked figure watched the group of Keyblade wielders that were searching the area. Hm... Looks like we've got interference already. The academies have caught on quickly... The figure thought. They waved an arm, and a group of Assassin Nobodies appeared, all of which swarmed the Keyblade wielders and attempted to surround them. Might as well take care of them quickly... We can't have any interference in our plans. "Your journey stops now!" A feminine voice rang out through the station, echoing off of the trains. The figure stepped out, revealing herself as the one who had spoken earlier. "I won't allow you to flood the worlds with darkness any longer!"
In the mansion, another cloaked figure kept an eye on the group there. Hm... Looks like the leader was right, they've already arrived in Twilight Town. I just hope that she hasn't caused any trouble, yet... He sighed. It wouldn't be a bad idea to test these people out, though... As long as I don't wreck the mansion. He waved his hand, and a few Dusks blocked the Keyblade wielders' path.
"What? How did these get here?" Indy summoned his Keyblade, and prepared to fight off against the Nobodies.
(I forgot what Assassins were for a sec xP)
Joel heard the voice booming in the station. He turned to see a couple of Assassins ganging up on him. One lunged for him, and in response he sidestepped and swatted the enemy away. The second one, learning from the former's mistake, merged into the floor. Stabbing it wouldn't work, but Joel thought of something that might. He cast Gravity on the area where the Assassin was sliding around, and exerted enough pressure to crack the floor. The trick seemed to damage the Nobody, and it emerged, ready to strike. When it attacked, Joel brought his Keyblade down in front of him, cleaving the Assassin in two. The first Assassin, having come to early enough to see its companion's demise, turned around and fled. Unfortunately for it, Joel quickly cast Gravity on it, crushing the creature. After that it was easy to clean up.
Joel now looked up to see the mysterious figure who had summoned the Nobodies. No way I could take it alone, Joel thought. He turned and ran toward the others, hoping to rid the station of the Assassins first.
Raidyn / Toshi
"Whoa! These must be Nobodies. Dusks to be exact," Raidyn cried, summoning his Shockwave Keyblade and holding it in a backwards grip. "Heh, finally! We get a chance to throw down! Come on guys, let's kick some butt!!" The young blonde sped off towards the closest pack of Noboides he could, slashing away at them with single strokes. He was having too much fun to even notice how easy it was to slice the Dusks away. "Come on Toshi, get in gear!"
"R-right!" Toshi said, summoning her own Keyblade, Protector. "Let's hope I can hold my own," she said softly to herself, joining Raidyn in the fray. Her strikes were more calm and calculated compared to the wild and abrasive swings of Raidyn. The two fought as similar as day and night, or even light and darkness.
"Likely an enemy summoning them or their here of their own accord to try and beat us to a pulp for entering their territory and breaking a pot." He responded, the second option being purely a joke. Considering that the main gate to The World That Never Was had been supposedly been sealed, and that they were out to stop an enemy, it wasn't entirely impossible for him to get the idea of enemy summoning them in his mind. He summoned his keyblade and took his normal stance, blade drawn across the stomach and left foot forward. He slashed behind him with his Black Tempest, catching a dusk in the teeth on that side, he whipped it around and then shot it at a few more Dusk's, and then used the forward momentum to throw the blade into the floor and spin around, launching himself into the pile feet first, he landed on one and slashed acoross two others, destroying them.
Lucas quickly saw the woman, and the Assassins started swarming him. "Damn it, i wasn't expecting this!" He summoned his keyblade and quickly fired a few thunder spells, along with doign a spin attack to knock away the nobodies. "WHAT'RE YOU DOING? WE'RE THE ONES TRYING TO STOP THE HEARTLESS FROM DESTROYING THE WORLDS? WE'RE NOT GOING TO FLOOD THEM WITH DARKNESS!" He quickly tried to run through past the nobodies and find the others. "JOEL, WHERE ARE YOU?" He yelled out in hopes of him hearing Lucas.
Ghost whirled around to face the source of the voice, only to be confronted with several assassin nobodies. He vaguely remembered being briefed on the enemies, and only remembered that they were a very big threat, and that they were painful. Well... I guess this means I can summon my weapons now. Instinctively, Ghost called out his keyblade as it materialized in his hand, then barely managed to block the assassin's sudden attack. He tried to immediately retaliate, but the assassin had already dispersed into the ground.
"WHAT'RE YOU DOING? WE'RE THE ONES TRYING TO STOP THE HEARTLESS FROM DESTROYING THE WORLDS? WE'RE NOT GOING TO FLOOD THEM WITH DARKNESS! JOEL, WHERE ARE YOU?" he heard Lucas scream, stunning Ghost for a moment as he covered his now ringing ears. "Can we try not screaming!?" he yelled back, only to be greeted with a crippling blow to his armored back as he let off a yelp of pain and fell to the ground. Ghost gasped for air, then quickly rolled off to the side to try and get back up as he saw the lethal arm of the enemy assassin impaling the ground next to him. That was too close... He went for a jump-kick recovery, and successfully managed to land a solid hit on the assassin as it once again dispersed into the ground below.
-----
Meanwhile, hiding in the shadows up on the rafters of the Train Station, Instructor Striker had watched the scene unfold as he silently stayed put, waiting for the source of the voice to reveal itself. Sure enough, he saw a woman appear, and quietly he positioned himself above the woman and prepared to do a stealth drop on her. He carefully prepared his handcuffs and noiselessly opened it, readying it for a quick restraint of the troublemaker when he saw Ghost take a hit. Crap... Take the objective, or help the students? He decided to wait for a little bit longer, his body arched and ready to either drop on the woman or initiate a pursuit should she decide to run as his other free arm slowly reached to grab the arrow-rifle that was slung behind his back. C'mon, Ghost. You can do this!
Zale grinned as two Assassin Nobodies launched themselves at him.
"Finally, something interesting." He thought.
In an instant, he had his Keyblade and his new gunblade, in blade mode, out. He jumped up, spinning through the air like a top, with both blades extended. He met the Assassins midair, where there was a momentary sound of metal on metal before the Nobodies were sliced through. Zale landed with debris of fading nobodies falling around him.
As he stood up, he saw another Assassin, but it seemed to be heading for civilians.
[Nexus Shift]
Annistha twirled both Keyblade and Gunblade, transforming the latter into gun mode. She pointed both weapons at the Assassin, unleashing a volley of bullets and Ruin spells. The Nobody was hammered by the projectiles and fell.
"Using people's bodies rather then doing your own dirty work?" Annistha shouted, angrily.
She jumped up on a train car and aimed both her weapons at the figure behind all this.
"Sounds pretty villainous to me."
In a swirl of pink sparkles and rainbows, Rei's Keyblade flashed to existance. She launched herself at the nearest Nobody, and cut it down with a few slashes. Turning and seeing the chaos, she was about to launch to Ghost's aide when about seven assassins surrounded her. That only made her smirk as she backflipped, unleashing Pearl. The attack knocked them back, allowing for Rei to go straight in and take two out. But the problem was moreso the fact they were hiding under the floor soon enough, and block - Pearlm only got two more. Faced with the final three, her ease had been lost as surprise faded. She gritted her teeth and carefully retreated, until two flew right at her. She used Pearl, then cut them down.
But before she could turn to check her back, the last Assassin drove a spiky arm through her chest. She screamed, and her Keyblade clattered to the ground and disappated as the Assassin prepared to drive another, this time through her stomach, to rip her in two.
Zion felt the pain, and, letting go of Xion's hand, was out the window.
"Engage Aether Wing."
Encased in futuristic armor, she hit mach five and sped towards the clock tower. The source of this pain.
