March 25, 201412 yr My comments are in purple. Exactly Yep Nomura has always said it was destiny. That he was always meant to have it . Aqua almost gave him the ceremony herself but didn't bc she saw Riku had it . Yet he still ends up wielding . Coincidence i think not . n Aqua's chapter, on the Destiny Islands, was Aqua originally intending to perform the Keyblade rite for Sora or Riku?Nomura: Yes. When Aqua met Sora and Riku, she was on the point of realising that she may end up having to fight Terra. At that point she was going to perform the rite of succession for Sora, but realised that Terra had already performed the rite for Riku. Not wanting sora and Riku to end up fighting like she and Terra in the future, she didn't perform the rite for Sora. This is the meaning behind her murmurs that "One must not get too close to a chosen one," and "I must not make them walk the same path." When she tells Sora he must save Riku if he ends up walking the wrong path, she's projecting her own thoughts onto Sora.Silly Aqua, thinking "I must not make them walk the same path." And then basically tell Sora to save Riku in need be.Also to Soku shippers, Sora is just following orders. =D Given he does end up wielding despite that just proves even more it was meant to be So its not Once Soras story is finished, another heros story will begin, the hero is always Sora.Which in my opinion is both a good and bad thing.Nomura: Yes. One of the concepts behind the KH series is that the main character Sora isnt special, hes just a normal boy. Yes he does have connections with Ventus heart, among others, but he hasnt inherited anything from them. Hes just a normal boy you could find anywhere. I wanted to make Sora a character that the player could take onto themselves and feel that you dont have to be special. But connect to many people and you will realize your secret potential. With BbS I want to make fans excited to see Soras return. The secret event is a symbol of that, so I hope everyone will get to see it and wait for Soras next adventure.Well if you think about it, he isn't that special, except for how destiny/fate effects him. Though I lost my connection to Sora in KH II, so he failed for me. But I am only one of the millions of players. -Even though Riku was the rightful owner of the Keyblade, then why did Sora obtain the Keyblade in the beginning?Nomura: Even though I would like to keep that obscure, there is a scene in Destiny islands where Riku is being swallowed by darkness, a light appears, and Sora first obtains the keyblade. With the setting I created, the darkness that surrounds them is Riku’s heart’s darkness. At that moment, Sora enters the darkness, and the light he sees inside is Riku’s heart’s light. Sora, who was squirming in the darkness to save Riku, touched the light and temporarily obtained the Keyblade from Riku.---Does not the Keyblade itself choose its owner?Nomura: The Keyblade reacts to the rightful owner’s heart and appears to them. Even though it was definitely Riku who called the Keyblade towards him, the reason why Sora was able to weild it was because he also had the right qualities too.Hmm, I wonder if this could be described as Sora ripping Riku's keyblade out of Riku's heart. Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me .He's always met the qualifications and eventually bc of that he does get chosen even without a ceremony I agree with this.
March 25, 201412 yr My comments are in purple. I wouldn't call it ripped bc the keyblade wasn't forcibly yanked outta him . It saw Sora as a better choice and a safe haven when Riku was weak and wasn't currently a "good choice" anymore atm due to him being swallowed by darkness. As for Sora being special - I can see where he appears to be the normal everyday kid,but there are times where he is everything but - like when even as a newborn he saved Ven's heart with his heart and then did it again 4 years later .Like how he managed to save the world twice over when he's literally just a kid . There is a great strength inside him to go through what he does at such an age when most kids panic at pimples and school projects . He's able to not only save hearts but reach them as well and that has served him well along the ways .. I do understand that you lack the connection and myself I am a much bigger Lea fan than Sora bc I connect more with Lea so i do understand what you are saying. Everybody is different and lead different lives so we relate differently to things and there is nothing wrong with that.
March 25, 201412 yr His hair is pretty un-ordinary. I still haven't found his hairspray yet. All I know is that he dropped it in Traverse Town So is Roxas or Axel and most other characters.
March 28, 201412 yr In the final fantasy sense, yeah Before he was a hero I think we all know there is more to sora than meets the eye or the fact that he was ordinary
