I had a thought

 

Lets say you were to remove Sora, Xehanort, and Kairi , (and all the other princesses of heart for that matter) out of the plot...

Then, subsequently, remove Namine, Roxas,  Xion, Ansem, Xemnas etc because you took out Kairi and Sora and Xehanort...

There would be no real plot besides Riku, Aqua, Mickey, Ventus etc living a normal life, correct? O_o''''

Or would just some alternate universe plot happen where somehow shit hit the fan anyway because of the existence of Keyblade Weilders?

This like Final Fantasy IV but without Cecil or Final Fantasy VII but without Cloud

 

Don't get me wrong I don't mean to target anyone with anything and I like Riku as a character but.......

 

 

Is there any other reason for people to make Riku the main hero aside from white hair and being handsome?

ummm I guess everyone would live happily ever after in ignorance of what is going on before the whole universe was destroyed by the darkness.

Sounds really boring. And i don't think riku would of ever met Aqua and all them because xehanort is the reason why they went to destiny islands in the first place right?

But to be honest I wouldn't place him over my favorite characters, who happen to be sora and kairi.

I believe all the characters are important to the story as it is, but I just want to know if i'm correct by saying that without those three the plot would not be what it is now but a completely different plot. I don't want to sound like one of those blind fangirls who assume crap

It's just I'm so fed up and pissed off with all the Riku waifus and Riku shippers around other places such as KHInsider that I was in before this where they say Sora should be replaced by Riku with the excuse that Sora isn't as (quote unquote) "Cool and badass" as Riku was

 

It's just....what's with people against light-hearted protagonists?

 

Do every hero has to be like Squall or Sephiroth in order to be considered cool or awesome?

And as much as I like Riku,the dude was trying sooo hard to be Kain Highwind

Fool. Take away Xehanort, and nothing would have ever happened. No Kingdom Hearts game or anything. Terra, Aqua, Ventus, and Mickey would just probably be keyblade masters keeping the realm safe. Riku would be bored and depressed out of his mind stuck on his island.

What she said in no way, shape or form implied Riku becoming the main hero. It didn't even remotely seem like there was a hint of that. The point was that those three characters (Sora, Kairi and Xehanort) are linked to so many other characters physically, that without them, so many characters and major plot wouldn't exist.

If that happened and those were the only charicters then the story would certainly be a lot less. For me it's the story that drives an rpg the most. Without a good one, it's just......... Meh. I think the best part of kh it's its story and lore. If it wiener for that then I probably would not have been as much as a fan as I am now. Not even close! It's unthinkable to imagine kh they didn't decide to make a great story and instead had an insanly basic story.

I don't know that there wouldn't be any plot just because Xehanort is gone. Maleficent is still kicking around, and in spite of the retcon of Xehanort being the one who sets her on the right track, she's pretty cagey and capable enough of discovering some of these things on her own. Not to mention that the Heartless would still definitely be a thing, so there's that as well. 

If you take out the original Kingdom Hearts characters , Disney and Final Fantasy remains .
