Mario Golf: World Tour is getting DLC and a season pass. 3 DLC packs each $5.99 and each contain 2 18 hole courses and a new character. The season pass is $14.99 and also nets you Gold Mario. These are all U.S prices.

 

You'll probably pay $20-25 for the season pass and $9.99 for the DLC packs on-top of $69.95 for the game in Australia.

 

I thought we were past passes when EA stopped using them...definitely not touching this game.

I heard only DLC not seasons passes but that's just me

 

I don't buy DLC that much anyway so I'm gonna get the game but not the DLC

Also,they got the Season pass concept wrong,from the link it's just a DLC pack and nothing else,it doesn't have an expiration date and you can get each content individually according to the link

 

Also,EA still do Season Pass.....check Titanfall

Again,according to the link,it's not really a season pass it's just a case of them not knowing the definition for it

 

It doesn't have an expiration date and all content are available individually...it's just someone at Nintendo of America didn't get the difference between a DLC pack and a season pass

 

Anyway,I can get why you can't pick the game here in Australia,but you can import  the American version as it's cheaper in price than the EUAustralian versions if you want to....then again it's golf so I don't think you'd like it

3DS is region locked. And it's not big deal anyway.

 

Well I haven't needed a season pass in ages.

 

There's technically no DLC unless you want to play Ultimate Team which I hardly ever do anyway. Lol.

 

I only buy Madden NFL and FIFA every two years anyway.

A lot of games do season passes still. It's a bit strange seeing Nintendo do them though, since this is their first. Oh well, I always thought this game looked boring as heck anyway. I don't see how it has such a huge fan following, it's just golf with a Mario skin.

it's really not a season pass,it's just NoA not knowing what a season pass is

 

it's just a DLC pack without an expiration date(which most Season passes had) heck all the DLC are sold seperately so I don't get what's the point of the pack.

 

Also,have you played Mario Golf Toadstool Tour  on GameCube or Mario Golf Advance Tour on GBA?Those were the best golf games I've ever played

 

It's not just Golf with Mario Skin,there are some courses and special events there and the GBA game had an RPG style career mode where you build a character and boost it's stats to compete for tournaments,visit towns,meet NPCs and play mini-games

 

If you've played the previous Mario Golf games you'll know why it has some following

I'm not getting it because Mario Golf is probably my least favorite of the Mario sports spinoffs, but if you're crying over it just don't buy the season pass. lolI just love how people will cry over Nintendo doing things like season passes, DLC, and ending their Wi-Fi service and yet other game companies do the same thing and people freely dump their money into that shit.

What Jilly said + they also give you the option of demoing the DLC packs to see if you like them, which to my knowledge hasn't been done before.
