May 1, 201411 yr Well, Pokemon X/Y implements 3D, but it's not required to use. I rarely used the 3D in the game. Then again, I rarely used the 3D feature in any of my games, with the exception of KH3D.
May 1, 201411 yr It's really up to the developer whether or not they do "In the eshop Hydroventure Spin cycle, Mad Dog McCree, Sweet Memories Blackjack & Pokemon Dream Radar don't have any 3d at all". But as it's on the 3DS I doubt very many would leave the feature out completely. They think it's a main drawing point when a lot of people keep theirs off.
May 1, 201411 yr Well, the games all have to have a 3D functionality, but it's not "required" that you actually use it. It's just sort of offered or "recommended".

May 1, 201411 yr Are all Nintendo 3DS games required to support 3D? Well it has but it's not required....hence why the 2DS was created for those who don't want 3D
May 1, 201411 yr Well it has but it's not required....hence why the 2DS was created for those who don't want 3D Fool. That's not what he is asking. I'd say yes.
May 1, 201411 yr I've never seen a 3DS game that doesn't have 3D... I mean sure you can turn the 3D off, but it having 3D still makes it a 3D game. soo yes they do have to have 3D support to be counted as a 3D game.
May 1, 201411 yr I'm not talking about the user, I'm talking about if the developer has to have it support the 3D in some way. Well.......I don't know. Why ask? It just seems like a given thing. Why do PS3 games have to be in HD? Do DS games have to use BOTH screens? It's just kind of one of those questions that don't really have to be answered because it just seems kind of...redundant. ....I don't know.
