So, my uh... well, the person I'm really close and in love withs' favourite game series (or one of them, at least) is Metal Gear. He let me play Snake Eater a few times and made a comment how Snake looks like a meerkat in his little pose when he's runnin' around, sooooo I decided to draw it

 

I originally wanted to paint him a nice, serious Metal Gear picture but after six f☆cking attempt I realized that I can just not draw masculine, realistic men.

 

SO HERES THIS.

 

 

As I said it's WIP, I'm still inking it and haven't coloured it yet, and yes, that is Rainbow Dash in the background for reasons you don't need to know about. Yes, I plan on fixing his other hand but if there's anything you notice that isn't inked and I still have time to fix or touch up, lemme know! I'll add more detail to the final lineart, of course (＾ｰ^)ノ

 

But I'm super psyched and proud of this because this is my first time drawing a character with a beard!! Like, ever so this is a big deal for me B)

It´s good. In fact the only thing I can see ... failing is the hands, am I wrong? common problem for everyone... Try to give the hair and beard more details, a little lines will do the magic.

Eh, I'm happy with them so far but as I said the inky isn't done, so I plan on scaling the still-sketched hand. The good thing about inking is you can literally fix shit even when it's done The hair and beard cannot be more detailed in the lineart as I plan on colouring it, so all of the hair-related detail will be taken care of in that. Plus it's just an anime/cartoony style so I'm trying to avoid too much unnecessary detail for what I'm aiming for Thank you!

Aww, I see. I get what ya mean though like sometimes I'll go weeks without drawing but then I get back and it's just...sudden improvement. If you ever pick it up again though, just don't stop, ask for some advice, pick up a book or look up some tutorials online and practice always makes people improve. You can doooo iiiiiiiiiit

For ears, I'd just study the anatomy of them. Like with cartoons and stuff I just do is simplified versions of tem and stuff but if you look at some pictures, doodle a few, draw a few, you'll get the hang of it :3As for hands, that is in territory i do not wish to tread...

Wow, this is amazing stuff!  X_X  The competition here in this site is jaw dropping.  But you'll see, I'll also improve to the point that everyone will be baffled by my masterpieces!  But aside from that, you really do have a talent here, and I really like how the drawing looks, so I'm sure the finished product will look just as awesome!  And lol, Rainbow Dash fits anywhere because she's awesome like that.  Keep up the good work! (By the way, I know this is out of topic, but how did you decide on the username Ghost?  Was it because you played Call of Duty: Ghosts?  Or because you simply thought Ghost was a catchy name to use?)

Thanks, Golden! Yeah man we all just gotta keep drawing and practicng, the more we do the more improvement we'll see. Heheh yeah, my frind thought it was funny too; "Two years later and you're still drawing fvcking ponies everywhere." Oooh and well, I chose it for a variety of reasons but Call of Duty: Ghosts isn't one of them Mostly stems from personal uhhhhhhh whats the word, affiliations? I think? If I could have any super power, besides flying and shapeshifting I would really love to turn invisible or "ghost" like at will. I had a dream in which I could do that and I had a blast, especially since it was lucid and I was in complete control of whag I could do. I just feel like I'd be good being forgotten or like a ghost I dunno, on other websites I made a change from Nebula (which I still kinda like) to Moon, and now I'm stickin' with Ghost xDMakes no sense sure but NOBODY CAAAARES Thank you again!
