{Alexi}

Alexi Strannov watched the rain pelt one of the windows in his office. That was the thing about this world. It was always dark and overcast, raining half the time. Alexi found it strangely comforting. He got up from his chair and walked over to the window to look out over the city scape around him. As far as he had searched, the whole world seemed to be a city, but hadn't searched too far. Creatures lurked out there, but there were a couple of city blocks that they stayed away from. Alexi couldn't think of a better place to direct the Decolor from.

A beep from a clock on his desk told him that one of his teams were starting a mission now. Silently, he wished them luck, then turned to leave his office. It was time to check on some of the others.

{The Ulthor}

The 4 man assassin team known as the Ulthor appeared in a secret area in the back alley ways of Twilight Town. The leader of the team, Thet, went to the shrouded entrance of the entry point, checking for anything suspicious.

"Clear." she informed the others in an even tone.

"What, you expected something?" Alph, the teams gunslinger/marksmen, asked sourly. "For the love of the Witch, we were told it was clear."

Thet gave Alph a look that could keep ice cream from melting.

"If you want to die so badly, fine." she said coldly. "But you are not taking the rest of us with you."

Rho, the youngest member of the team, cleared his throat, hoping to divert the argument he saw coming.

"Always best to check." he said, managing a smile. "Remember what happened in Port Royal."

An audible sigh came from the final member of the Ulthor, the assassin Cron.

"Don't get my hopes up, sunshine." She said wistfully. "At least that was fun."

"You can worry about fun later." Thet said, regarding her team. "Now, we have a job."

Though he looked annoyed by Thet, Alph brightened up as the mention of the job.

"And you don't worry about the job, Thet." he said, waving a brief case he held absently. "That wielder will be smoldering in Hades before he knows what hit him."

Thet nodded.

"We all know the plan." she said. "Let's begin. Move out."

In single file, the Ulthor exited the Entry Point, using the alleys to navigate through Twilight Town.

Stan

"Got it, I'll be back in a few." Stan said, and rushed back to his and Lee's room. As he opened the door, he noticed Lee meditating on his bed. Stan wanted to tell his brother that he was leaving on a mission, but had long since learned not to bother Lee while he was deeply focused. So instead, he wrote him a note describing the mission he was going on, grabbed a few of his smaller explosives and supplies in case they needed them, and headed back to the room he left Cron in a handful of minutes ago. "Alright, I'm ready." he said.

Clara

Clara examined Casumi while she sipped her drink. Physically, she seemed to have healed just fine. But emotionally, she wasn't so sure, as Casumi was always rather quiet. After she finished her drink, Clara felt a slight tingle in her fingers. It wasn't much, but it was probably better if she stopped drinking for now.

Braxen

Braxen raised an eyebrow at Syfe, "Oh really?" he asked, frankly a little impressed at this guys recruiting tactics. After all, who'd want a rebellion filled with mindless killers? "In that case, what now?"

[Milo]

Milo nodded towards Blore's words. He didn't mean to really ignore the armored man, but the memo he had just gotten required some attention. He read it over, knit his eyebrows, then read it over again. He looked up to Snider. "It says it's for my eyes only, but it concerns us both." Milo said, handing the paper to Snider. Waiting a second for Snider to read the memo, Milo spoke up. "What do you think? Should we go? It's your decision, this is your escort mission after all. Besides, the last decision I made nearly got our client killed."

[Quincy]

Quincy nodded absently as Thet left the lab. He was hopeful that this plan would work out, but he had no idea if the Master Chef could really do it. No, he should have confidence. Quincy looked absently through his papers.

[Azalea]

Azalea tipped the glass back, and enjoyed a long sip. "Thanks Luna." She said gratefully. She preferred to enjoy a good glass of home after missions. It had become kind of a tradition. She'd have preferred Ryonne to join her, but more often than not, he refused. He wasn't a drinking person. "Hey, Luna and Alph, how'd your end of the mission go. We didn't get much of a chance to talk about it after the fact, but I'm curious." The Blizzard asked.

[syfe & Leonarda]

Syfe nodded and smiled at Braxen. "Good, you believed me. Some people get kind of angry with me over the express version. As for what now, I may have a mission coming up that I'll send you and my other two new recruits on. Of course, Leonarda and I will escort to make sure the details go smoothly." Leonarda looked at Brooklyn, at first in confusion, then felt the air herself. Yeah.... something did seem off.

"Hey Syfe! Let's put the mission on pause for a bit. I think something will be coming to us." She called to the Officer. Syfe paused. Then he nodded.

"Yes, you're right. We'll stay in Twilight Town for a while longer." Syfe said. He looked to Braxen, then over to Brooklyn and Sandrew. "Follow me! We'll hang around town for today. In the morning, we can go out into the field unless situations change."

[Mali]

Mali stood in her cloaked ship. There was in fact an entire cloaked fleet, hovering right above a particular world. The fleet was evading detection due to the advanced cloaking technology Mali had Kefka hook her up with. Now, in just a few more moments, things would turn quite dire for a lot of people. Yes, this attack en mass would destroy the Decolor. No longer would they upset the delicate plans she had in place.

The fleet of Dawn's Ascent finally had come together.Eternal Fire slid into position beside the considerably smaller Yggdrasil the fleet called it's flagship. Luna sighed with relief.

"We've made it. Now, we need to plan...who to fight first, the corrupted darkness that invades worlds, or the perverted Light that has become a tyrannic entity? Neither is unblemished, and both are disrupting the balance Zion had fought long and hard for."

The door behind them opened, and Sarah Aether finally was able to walk in. "The answer is both. We need coordination and allies, so we must go to those worlds oppressed by Light and Darkness. The fact is, there will always be more people then soldiers, and more will then conquerors. When my world was fledgling, when it was overrun by warlords and kings, the people banded together to form what would become Avalon. And as the warlords fought, they were outnumbered. The King's decrees fell to ash as the fires of liberation swept the world. History can repeat for the better, but only if people are prepared to face change, face fear. To face truth."

Evie looked at Ina. "...what...what if they take me away from home again?" She asked. "T-There's n...no time...t-to t-train me f-for th-that...."

------------------

Zion's eyes teared up. "No, don't...don't go!" She wildly grabbed for Victoria, fear permeating her cerulean irises. That's when her heart flatlined.

"And after all that, it look's like they're going to leave, the ingrates." Cory thought. "They're not that important, I can move on from here. I'll go look around some more tomorrow, but who knows what I'll do tonight, I don't exactly have a plan." She watched some light sparks float in front of her eyes, "You'd think they'd be more intrigued by this..." There she went again, acting on impulse. Cory began to leave the train station, acting like she didn't have a dragon on her shoulder and hadn't encountered a team of morons.

Cory made a small patch of light appear on the toe of the one who'd been punched earlier, it was unnoticeable. The next time he took a step with his left foot, the patch would grow bigger and brighter before disappearing. It would be like looking directly at the sun for a second, completely harmless, just like all her tricks.

She's 18! She's allowed to have fun isn't she!

[Le Chef: Twilight Town]

Le Chef was almost impressed by how quick people had pulled together and gotten the downtown area of Twlight Town back together again. Then again, given the sporadic attacks that worlds seemed to suffer from, and the fact that no one had gotten around to developing a radar for when Dark Portals were going to appear, it was probably just a matter of routine at this point. In spite of that, however, there were still plenty of happy faces present to watch as Le Chef's van drove by, helping relieve the tense atmosphere with delicious aromas. No matter how many dishes he prepared, Le Chef thought, he would never tire of the satisfaction that his food brought to people.

He couldn't wait to see the outrage when the van exploded! Seriously, if the loss of these biscuits wasn't enough to stir a revolution, nothing was. So long as Thet made good on their arrangement.

Braxen

"Alright, sounds good to me." Braxen said to Syfe, secretly grateful for the chance to rest. The past couple of days had been pretty rough for him, and he could definitely use a breather.

Lee

As Lee meditated on what to do next, his magical scenes were greatly increased. Because of this, Lee was able to sense that something was very, very wrong. It was rather week, but Lee could sense a great presence of darkness surrounding the world. As Lee stirred from his meditation, his first urge was to warn Alexi right away. But something pulled him back and urged him to wait. Perhaps from whatever was to happen next would come the answer he was looking for.

{Alph & Casumi: Home; Canteen}

Alph shrugged.

"We had to deal with some guards running around the court yard like chickens with their heads off." he answered Azalea after taking a sip of his drink. "And as I figured, once we'd over stayed our welcome, the resistance got stiffer. If we'd hung around any longer, the Light Soldiers would have overwhelmed us then got to y'all."

His eyes narrowed his he took another sip of his drink.

"What about your end? All I've really heard is that Cron freaked out and lost a hand."

Casumi stirred slightly upon hearing of Cron's injury. She didn't have that strong a connection with the Ulthor Assassin, as she felt it hard to understand her, but any operative injured was a concern. She glance at Azalea and Clara, hoping for some sort of answer.

{Cron: Home; Lab}

Cron made a face at Hotaru's parting remark. Great, now she had to deal with that kind of guilt. Man, things were simpler when she was solo. She gave Stan a little wave as he left with her good hand. She glanced over to see some techs preparing to over lay her mechanical left hand with a "skin" to make it look normal.

"Hold it." She ordered them as she unstrapped her arm from the little table it was being worked on.

One of the techs opened his mouth to object, but was silenced by a glance from the Ulthor Assassin. After a moment of concentrating, the metallic, skeletal hand flexed its fingers. A grin broke out over Cron's face.

"Nice work." She said. "Just drop the skin and give it a matte red finish."

She tilled her head as she looked at her new hand.

"Make that dark red."

She glanced over at one of the techs.

"And you go get me a new jacket and dress shirt from my room, got it?"

The tech nodded and scurried out of the room. Cron laid back and let the remaining techs work on her hand and paint it. They were almost done when Stan got back.

"Good to hear." She replied to her new teammate. "I'll be ready in a few minutes. If you find out you need more supplies when we are in the field, tell me and I'll get you what you need from sources I have around the worlds."

A tech released Cron's left arm and nodded to her. Cron smiled at her newly painted, matte dark red hand, which she brought up and flexed a few times. She sat up quickly and gave Stan a thumbs up with her new left hand.

"Now, we just need Hotaru and my new clothes."

{Rho: Twilight Town; Beach}

Rho stepped away from Dawn and brandished his nunchaku absently as he thought. His weapon was an unusual one to fight, so he wasn't sure it was a fair test. He glanced around and saw some fire wood stacked.

"Give me a sec." He said as he put his nunchaku in his coat and walked over to the stack.

He routed through it until he found a stick long enough to act as a makeshift sword. He had been trained in sword fighting, so felt he could give Dawn a decent test with a stick. He went back to Dawn, assuming a fencing stance.

"Ready when you are." He said with a slight smile.

{Ina: Space; In Transit to Twilight Town}

Ina had a look of satisfaction for a moment after Evie spoke. The girl had clearly been through enough trauma to make most people babbling and broken, but she was at least having some clear thoughts.

"If you don't want to be taken again, you will need your mother for help." The Outsider replied, swiveling her chair around to look at Evie. "Considering who took you, that means your mother would be going against the leadership of the Light."

She paused a moment to see if she could sugar coat her next point, but couldn't think of a way.

"Your whole world could be considered in rebellion, depending on who was calling the shots. Since it's one of the royals from Disney, you better believe she's gonna take that stance. That 'rebellion' will probably start the second word makes it to the Queen that your back with your mom. That could be when we get there now, or even after I trained you if I took you else where. You're world would become a target for everybody, Light and Dark."

{Scales: Twilight Town; Train Station}

Scales glanced back at the group as Cory walked away from them. They intrigued the little dragon, but his human didn't seem to like them. Maybe this wasn't fate, just the tangled branches of other stories being woven. He turned and rested his head on Cory's shoulder. He stirred a little a moment or two later, feeling uncomfortable for some reason.

On the Clock Tower, unnoticeable by all, a woman stood and gazed down on Cory. Could this person be what she was looking for?

{Thet: Twilight Town; Downtown}

As the crowd gathered around Le Chef's van, Thet took a deep breath from her hiding place. This was it. She put on the helmet of her disguise and was ready.

Appearing in the van's path was the grey and white armored figure of a Light Judge, a member of Queen Mercedes's special Inquisition to route out dissidence among the light. He calmly strode forward, summoning his Keyblade to his side. With no apparent effort, he waved the Keyblade and send a wave of light out that hit the van and flipped it.

"Queen's business." The figure called out as he strode to the over turned van. "Be about your business."

Most of the crowd stood still like statues, though some heeded the order and left. A few, not many, could be seen to grumble and mutter.

Grandpa.  The term of endearment had a nice ring to it. It made Blore feel happy, and, more importantly, wanted, which was something he had not experienced for some time. "The god's name was Gwynn," he answered to Snider's question. Then, somewhat hesitantly, "He's dead." It was an idea that still had a bit of an odd ring about it, something that somehow was banished to the back of his mind. With his quest brought back to his train of thought, Blore stiffened up a bit. "Which, really, is why I'm here, I suppose. My... world, is that how you put it?" It was what he had gathered, from listening to some of the talk on the ship: different lands were referred to as "worlds." "My world has a problem. The first flame... that is, the light that gives us life, is going out. There's been several attempts to relight it. Some of which resulted in... catastrophic failures. And Gwynn, he was the god of Light, and... well, let's just say his death isn't the only thing that stopped him from doing the world good." Blore was unable to hide the distaste in his voice, as the images of New Londo flashed in his head. "So now, I'm trying to find a light that can sustain the world indefinitely."

The conversation ended as the party ran into Captain Milo, who eyed up the knight with some suspicion. Blore tried to bow slightly in response. "A hell of a battle indeed," he said in response to Milo's conversation starter. "As I was just telling your colleagues here, the only time I've seen powers such as the ones you display, it was reserved for those of dietic status." Then, with a chuckle, "Had I known that I was the only one here that still fought with his feet on the ground, I might have been more hesitant to offer assistance."

Zion's eyes teared up. "No, don't...don't go!" She wildly grabbed for Victoria, fear permeating her cerulean irises. That's when her heart flatlined.

[Medical Cruiser Deliverance]

"It says it's for my eyes only, but it concerns us both." Milo responded. Handing the note over, Snider took the official looking sheet of paper from the captain's hands and carefully read its content. "Hmmm..." the lieutenant mumbled, "Command Javelin is stationed near the area. This ought to be interesting."

"The god's name was Gwynn," Blore finally answered the lieutenant, "He's dead."

Snider chuckled. "Well that escalated quickly. A god? Dead? Are you sure the deity isn't out to lunch or something? The last time I checked, gods can't die." Charlotte found the confuzzled officer's reaction endearing as she grinned.

"Which, really, is why I'm here, I suppose." Blore continued, "My... world, is that how you put it?" My world has a problem. The first flame... that is, the light that gives us life, is going out. There's been several attempts to relight it. Some of which resulted in... catastrophic failures. And Gwynn, he was the god of Light, and... well, let's just say his death isn't the only thing that stopped him from doing the world good. So now, I'm trying to find a light that can sustain the world indefinitely."

The officer raised an eyebrow as he slowly looked at the masked stranger. "So, who or what did you have in mind to replace this light of yours?" He was afraid that the stranger would target a princess of heart; something that wouldn't go over well with the queen if that was the case.

Milo's voice brought the officer's mind back into the present. "What do you think? Should we go? It's your decision, this is your escort mission after all. Besides, the last decision I made nearly got our client killed." Snider nodded half-heartedly, fearing a major backlash if he just flat out said 'you dun goofed' to his superior. "Well, Command Javelin hasn't reported anythign suspicious at the location. How about this: We show this to our VIP. if she recognizes the name, we go. If not, we think of other options or just bring her back to the queen." He did an about face, and looked over to where Zion was at, only to witness a commotion. "Aw crap..."

The lead doctor who was watching over Zion immediately became suspicious of his patient when he watched her reaction to Victoria. "Start resuscitation!" he commanded of the medical team nearby, and motioned Victoria to come closer. "Miss, I need you to hold her hand and gently scratch her head."

"What?" the raven-haired girl asked, "why?"

The doctor sighed. "Something tells me this is a psychogenic problem."

...What?"

Snider answered her question as he came up to the sergeant from behind after sprinting across the hanger bay. "It means he believes this is being caused by her emotions." Victoria looked at him, dumbfounded and awestruck at the idea as she carefully reached for Zion's hands. "Looks like someone has formed an emotional attachment to you. Try being compassionate to a stranger for once." Victoria glowered at the commander, then gave herself up as she sighed. "Fine." Snider walked up next to her, a green aura surrounding the commander as he gently caressed Zion's cheeks. "C'mon Zion, you're stronger than this."

When the girl was awake again and stabilized, Snider would wait for Zion to be well again before showing her the piece of paper. "Do you recognize this name, Zion?"

{Hotaru}Hotaru finished packing a few supplies and moved towards a small computer next to Luna's bed."Access to Administrator Lunaris account."~Access Denied~ Said a voice."Override protocols 013501 to 023515. Activate holographic voice interface."The holographic appeared in the form of Luna, Hotaru just sighed."Temporal change of avatar."Said interface change into different people until Hotaru choose to stop.~Current avatar in the form of Keyblade Master Celas Caelum, The Chaser. Is this acceptable?~"Yes." Hotaru said, a small hint of sadness and irritation in his voice. A cursed name long since forgotten from his mother's side. "Give me access to folder KBF-001"~Access granted. What would you like to do, child? It is rare that you come to change the contents of this particular thing.~Hotaru sometimes forgot that the interface was an AI, and it took him by surprise when it talked back like any normal person."I guess so. In the case of my death I don't want Mother or Luna and her family to suffer."The young Wielder then began to change the file's contents while the AI just stared at him."~Why is it that you always choose this particular form, Hotaru? I can see that it causes you pain, descendant or not.~"To remember. She gave everything she had to give, even when she was ill and weak. Enough about the topic...send a message to Lunaris, tell her that I'm going on a mission with a member of the Ulthor named Cron. She will know who she is."~As you wish...Message sent.~"Good. Save the changes made in the files and then return everything to the last configuration."~Acknowledge. Is there anything else you want before going back to previous configuration, Hotaru?""No...just...thanks."With a smile on its face, the interface went back to look like Lunaris and disappear. Hotaru exited the room and went back to the lab."Sorry about the wait. I had to take care of a few things while I was in my room, but now I'm good to go."Hotaru then noticed that a new message arrived in his watch-like device.~ Good luck in your date with Cron. Remember~ a woman can be dangerous when angered. Report once you're back. -Luna- ~The Wielder tilted his head in confusion. Date? What did the AI wrote in the message.{Lunaris}Luna gave Azalea a small nod and a thumbs up."No problem."After listening to Alph's story and asking about Azalea about her side of the story, she moved her eyes to the device on her wrist.~Message from my child.~Luna shook her head slightly and sighed. Hotaru was messing with her things once again.~Going to take Cron to dinner tonight. Coming back late. PS: don't stay up too late.~And there it was again, every time Hotaru sent a message with that particular avatar, the messages came in the form of jokes."A mission?" She thought while writing a reply. "What are they planning."Once the message was finished and sent, Lunaris focused once again on Azalea, waiting for her side of the story.

Gaku walked to the wall and leaned his back against the wall as he heard Sarah's speech. "Well. . ." Gaku said. "We could go to the worlds that are not very oppressed by Light and Darkness to gain more allies to help us put both sides back in their place, or save the oppressed worlds now, starting with the Light." Gaku looked up to face Luna and Sarah. "Either way, we need to figure which path we'll take to figure out what's the next world to go to. Got any ideas?" Gaku asked.

Dawn smiled at Rho, and readied her sword. She couldn't help but blush for a moment, and she regained her composure. She was excited to be training with her friend on sword practice. "Okay, Rho. Let's do this!" Shouted Dawn, talking to Rho with excitement in her voice. Dawn ran at Rho, and she trust her sword at Rho's stick, to practice locking weapons, but did so gently to try to not damage the stick.

[Milo]

Milo stood next to the Commander, watching him heal the master below them both. He was helping only by sending his good vibes her way. There was unfortunately nothing he could, he had sacrificed all kinds of healing magic in order to gain added power in other elements. He glanced at the flatlining machine beside him, and just about zapped it. Not only was the sound just about the most annoying thing in the world, but it was making him feel useless, which in this particular situation, he was. Soon enough, Milo turned. "Come tell me when all is sorted out." He whispered. And he left the room. He needed some time to think. Not necessarily about the mission, but.... that woman, on Elympios. She claimed to be a survivor from Swanson. That was impossible wasn't it? Yes, he watched the town burn, listened to the screams of mothers and the cries of their children. How could there be another? But something bothered him. Why would she lie about that? No one else except residents of Elympios knew about the massacre, so if anything, she must be from Elympios. The only plausible explanation was that she was a rebel from Elympios who was using the massacre as a catalyst to rally others. Or she was telling the truth. Milo summoned his keyblade and threw it to the ground in front of him. He lit his hand on fire, and watched the flame burn. He was tired of this all. The pain, the memories, and doing nothing. It was getting to him, slowly. He took a deep breath, and extinguished his flame. But today would not be the day it finished him.

[Neena]

Neena glanced through some paperwork on her desk, turning the pages lazily. She really did not care for the forms, but they needed to be done if the Decolor was going to keep itself running. Without organization, the Decolor would be nothing more than one of those small rebel groups that fell soon after being formed. Nothing more than a blip on the radar. But the Decolor was more than that now. It owed half of it's strength to the individual strength and teamwork of it's members. The other half, was due to paperwork like this. She signed her name on a sheet, and moved through more reports. Another thing was on her mind though. Who was that man who claimed to be a survivor of Swanson? Nonsensical really. And he was a soldier for the light too! No survivor of what she had been through could possibly have one of those accursed weapons. So really, there was no possibility that he could be telling the truth. But how could he lie? The only ones who knew of what had happened were the three keybladers who had attacked, and the rest of the residents of Elympios. And she was certain that the man wasn't one of the attackers.... Another reason that she was doubting herself, was that there was no reason to lie about being from Swanson. She sighed loudly, and scribbled a note on a piece of paper, when she felt a slight breath on the back of her neck.

[Mali]

"Hello Miss Mors." She whispered to the Assassin. She leaped back as the Decolor Co Leader lunged at her with her blade. Mali raised an eyebrow. "Why so angry? I just came to say hello." Mali protested, her tone floaty. She was met by another stab, which she stepped away from.

"I don't exchange greetings with keybladers." Neena growled, furious. She sliced downward with her sword, but a sword of darkness manifested itself and blocked the slash.

"Mmm, okay. Your loss. Some of us are very polite and civilized people you know."

"But you, Dark Princess, are certainly not one of them." Neena answered, spinning and slashing again. Mali lazily waved her hand and the sword parried the blow. She threw the blade of darkness at Neena, who backflipped away.

"You are becoming quite boring. So full of hatred, but also so in control of it. Irksome. I shall find some that do not share your self control." Mali said to Neena. Then, the Dark Princess vanished into shadow.

[Azalea]

Azalea nodded towards Alph. Sounds like they had a good time out there, covering their asses. She glanced towards Luna, and shrugged. "I actually have no idea how Cron lost her hand. She abandoned us to go with Stan, Lee, and Ryonne. Actually, it might be better if I start at the top." Azalea said. She took a sip of her beer, then started again. "So we entered through the infiltration point, and started climbing up the stairwell immediately to the right. Cron, Hotaru, and I were being regular fools, joking and teasing each other, until we found some laser security systems that were not accounted for. Long story short, the alarm sounded and we had to run up to the security room to shut it off, which we did. Then we climbed a bit higher, and found an official to torture, I mean interrogate. In any case, each of us got the information we wanted out of him, Cron left us at this point. After that, I cleaned up our mess, and we started back towards the rendezvous. We made it without further problems, and evacuated. Easy peasy on our end over all. You'd be better off asking somebody on the other end what happened, because it seems to me that they had the cool job."

[syfe and Leonarda]

Syfe glanced at his shoe. Was that a light? No, that would be nonsense. And was it getting.... bigger? And brighter? It began to shine so bright, yet he couldn't pull his eyes away. It finally flashed, and Syfe was left blinking away the strange light. Leona glanced to him, and gave him a look. "Everything alright chief?" Syfe continued blinking for a couple of seconds.

"Ah, yeah.. Just, got something in my eye. Go ahead and take the others out. Bring them.... oh, I don't care. Just don't get into trouble." Syfe said, rubbing his forehead.

"Gotcha!" Leonarda said, then quickly ran over to Braxen, Sandrew, and Brooklyn. "Ok guys, Syfe ain't feeling right, so he told me to take you guys somewhere. Oh, and he asked me to do something, what was it.... oh yeah, cause trouble! He wanted us to cause some trouble! Come on, let's go!" Leona said, beginning to skip away.

"Scales, calm down," Cory said."It was a harmless trick, he probably didn't even notice what I did, probably thinks he's gone batty." She smirked, she wanted the know-it-all to have a moment of insanity.

{Cron: Home; Lab}

Cron greeted Hotaru with a wave of her new hand.

"Still waiting on some change of threads for me, then we are good to go." She said.

She absently picked up some sort of screw driver with her robotic hand and twirled it between her fingers. Or at least tried. There was the sound of metal scraping on metal that caused Cron to look down at her hand, to see that she had gotten the screwdriver caught between her fingers and had bent it.

"Ops." She said and dropped the misshapen tool back where she had picked it up.

She gave Hotaru and Stan a look that indicated that any comments on the subject 'I told you so" would earn the speaker a knee in the nuts. Luckily, Cron was spared any more fuming by the arrival of the tech she sent out for cloths.

"Here you go." She said, handing her a nearly identical suit jacket like what she wore, but not missing a bit of the left sleeve.

The dress shirt was the same style, but was crimson in coloration. Cron looked at it in confusion for a moment, then remembered an op where she and Thet had been bellhops for a hotel, running interference for Alexi as he had a "chat" with a former operative.

"Ah, good times." The Ulthor Assassin thought.

"Thanks." She said aloud as she took the jacket and shirt. "Now if everybody except for Hotaru and Stan could vacate this room."

She smiled to the techs as they filed out and shut the door behind them.

"Now, briefing." Cron said brightly as she shrugged off her damaged jacket. "We are after a potentially super dangerous target who will most likely act in a random pattern."

As she spoke, she tossed her old jacket into a trash bin, then tried to work the buttons of her dress shirt with both hands, but her new hand wasn't cooperating. She paused momentarily to give her two teammates another threatening look before switching to to just using her organic hand.

"For this mission, we are forgetting the Decolor's general relationships with Keyblade Governments. I have contacts and covers that we are going to use. What ever I say we are and what we are doing, just roll with it. Whatever you hear, I just need you to trust me."

With the buttons undone, Cron pulled off her shirt, leaving just her bra. She didn't seem to care that there was two guys watching her as she did this, and tossed the shirt in the same bin as the old jacket.

"Our first stop is the Dark World Enchanted Dominion to talk to a lacks who owes me."

She started buttoning up her new shirt one handed.

"Any questions yet?"

{Alph & Casumi: Home; Canteen}

Alph shook his head.

"Cron is a special snowflake." He snorted. "I wouldn't be surprised if she just jumped teams to get more action."

While she felt that Alph's theory was lacking, Casumi couldn't really refute it with what she knew of Cron. That assassin was a bit too chaotic for the Shape Summoner's tastes.

"Hurt?" She prompted, still wondering what kind of injury Cron sustained.

"Lost a hand." Alph answered. "Though she's apparently too worked up about something to bother with actually reacting to it."

Surprise passed over Casumi's face as she digested the new info. Alph took another gulp of his drink.

"Anyway, with Cron hurt and Thet and the kid no where to be seen, I'm wondering what the boss and boss lady have planned for me next." He commented.

{Rho: Twilight Town; Beach}

Using a one handed grip, Rho joined in the "sword" lock with Dawn. Recalling his own training, he side stepped slightly, and used his stick to leverage Dawn's blade in the other direction. If she had been using full force, the move might have messed up her balance.

"I'm guessing you have already had the basic strokes and blocks taught to you, right?" He asked as he made a practice lunging stab at her.

{Scales: Twilight Town; Train Station}

The little dragon grunted a reply. The human probably deserved it. He laid his head down for a second, the perked up as he caught an...almost scent. It was a scent, but it mainly consisted of not being there.

"Nice trick." A woman's voice said to Cory, but there was not immediately evident source.

There was a flash of white as a woman with pure white skin and a black dress beckoned to Cory from the mouth of a alley before disappearing down the same alley.

{Ina: Space; In Transit to Twilight Town}Ina had a look of satisfaction for a moment after Evie spoke. The girl had clearly been through enough trauma to make most people babbling and broken, but she was at least having some clear thoughts."If you don't want to be taken again, you will need your mother for help." The Outsider replied, swiveling her chair around to look at Evie. "Considering who took you, that means your mother would be going against the leadership of the Light."She paused a moment to see if she could sugar coat her next point, but couldn't think of a way."Your whole world could be considered in rebellion, depending on who was calling the shots.

Evie looked down again, eyes watering. "...go away...go away from Twilight." She then began crying. "Don't let them have an excuse to hurt them anymore. Don't let them." She begged.

Zion groaned softly to herself, and looked at the name. And her eyes went wide...wide as hell.

"No friggin way." She breathed. "I know that name, but he's not really a general...no...but he's a certified badass and he's someone i've fought with. i trust his judgement, and I trust what he decides." She slowly sat up, wincing. "What does Kirito want of me?"

"The Light and the Dark are both corrupt, but the problem lies with that." Sarah taps the railing of her command pedastal. "We cleanse the Light." She finally said. "We must fight the darkness with light, not light with darkness. That was the foundation of Avalon, and what my fleets stand for." She gripped her railing tighter, the woman scowling. "I lost my wife to the darkness. I refuse to let the Darkness overshadow light."

Luna put a hand to Sarah's back, then turned to the main viewing platform. "Freyja, which is the closest Light held worlds?"

{Hotaru}Hotaru looked away once the Ulthor assassin pulled her shirt off. He had seen Lunaris do the same many times, but for some reason this particular time he felt the need of looking away."Alright...so our destination is the Enchanted Dominion." He said. "And now that the topic about the Decolor's relationships with the Keyblade is there..."The young wielder looked at Cron and sighed."Am I allowed to use "it"? "Hotaru held out his hand and stared at Cron before he put it down. Surely she would know what he was talking about. Something that Hotaru didn't know was how many members of the Decolor knew about his status as a Keyblade Wielder, or how they would react to such notice. Alexi was a strange man, one who fought against the Keyblade, but still let him join the Decolor.{Lunaris}"You have to wonder what have her so worked up" the Sniper said. "Must be something very important...or very personal."Luna watched Casumi's face as different emotions passed through it."Boss man and boss lady are a strange pair." Luna said. "One could try to guess what the next assignment will be and they can surprise you."The blond girl made another drink, but this time she took her time with it.

Braxen

"Uh... if you say so, lady." Braxen said. He wasn't sure that's what a guy like Syfe would command them to do, but he wasn't willing to argue with his second in command, so he followed. Besides, perhaps this would prove be fun.

Stan

"Sounds good to me." Stan said, a little embarrassed. He'd managed to turn his head when Cron took off her shirt, but it took him a couple seconds longer than he'd like to admit. "Wait... what are you talking about?" Stan asked when he heard Hotaru referencing "it".  That was one of the things he disliked about the Decolor; everyone seemed to be hiding secrets. Frankly, he never would've joined this group if Lee hadn't convinced him to.

{Thet: Twilight Town; Downtown}As the crowd gathered around Le Chef's van, Thet took a deep breath from her hiding place. This was it. She put on the helmet of her disguise and was ready.Appearing in the van's path was the grey and white armored figure of a Light Judge, a member of Queen Mercedes's special Inquisition to route out dissidence among the light. He calmly strode forward, summoning his Keyblade to his side. With no apparent effort, he waved the Keyblade and send a wave of light out that hit the van and flipped it."Queen's business." The figure called out as he strode to the over turned van. "Be about your business."Most of the crowd stood still like statues, though some heeded the order and left. A few, not many, could be seen to grumble and mutter.

[Le Chef: Twilight Town]

"Ah," said Le Chef with a smirk. "There you are."

Surely few people would take nearly as much pleasure out of seeing a fully armored Light Judge standing in there path, but for Le Chef, it meant that the timer on his appetizers was about to ring, announcing it was time to serve. Making sure his seatbelt was tightened, the Frenchman also took the liberty of honking his horn slighty, not only to give the impression that he was being the epitome of the cautious driver, but to make sure that if people weren't looking closely already, their eyes were certainly drawn towards the van now.

The wave of light hit the van hard, and Le Chef made sure to tuck his chin as the van flipped vertically, making some air before smashing down into the ground. The impact caused the rather large nose of the Chef to smack against the steering wheel (and, he noticed, didn't trigger the air bags. He would have to invest in better vans later on), causing some blood to drip down his face, not to mention that some of the glass from the window shield still managed to cut his forehead open. Still, if nothing else, the crimson mask added the necessary shock value as Le Chef stumbled out of the van, groggy and battered, as the people stared in shock at the wanton act of "justice" bestowed up the man.

"I'm all right!" he assured many of the civilians who came over to make sure that he was in one piece. "I'm in one piece like... oof, my head... a freshly laid egg!"

"Mr. Chef, please," assured a passing White Mage, who was examining his injuries, "Car... 'accidents' are nothing to take lightly."

"Oh ho ho! An accident indeed!" guffawed the Chef loudly, having noticed the Light Judge approaching the scene of the wreckage. "To mistake a truck of food and relief for those in need for a vessel of evil must surely be an accident no? Ah, but our Judges! They do not make the accident, as their judgement is always correct! And so I'm certain our friend's mission was no accident. Come, explain! Are my biscuits to delicious to be allowed to see the light of day?"

The fact that Le Chef actually earned a hesitant snicker from some of the bystanders boded well, if only because it meant they were angry enough to let their dissidence shine through in broad daylight.

[blore: Onboard Deliverance]

"Well that escalated quickly. A god? Dead? Are you sure the deity isn't out to lunch or something? The last time I checked, gods can't die."

"They can die," Blore assured Snider. "For better or for worse." Then, feeling a bit smug about it, and with the knowledge that the people he was with were not aligned with them in anyway, added, "I may have dealt with a few of them myself." Almost immediately after, he felt a bit bad about bragging about it, but still, given that everyone on this ship could probably destroy a dragon on their own, it felt kind of nice to be able to assert himself as at least a little bit potent.

 "So, who or what did you have in mind to replace this light of yours?"

"Specifically, I don't know for certain," the knight confessed. "I don't even know if such a thing exists. But I'd take just about anything, so long as it's permanent." Then there would be no more need for sacrifices, pilgrimages... asylums...

The time for commenting on the light was put on hold as far more pressing matters came up. Specifically, the fact that the woman who was shot on Elympios was in the process of dying. As Snider and Milo went in a hurry to try and get Zion to come back to life, Blore supposed that he ought to follow, if only because he really didn't know anything else to do in the situation. It wasn't the sight of the flat line that caused him any concern: the Gravelord Sword that he bore alone meant that the prospect of seeing death was nothing new. Even coming back to life was not the biggest surprise he had seen: after all, he made something of a habit of it. But to see her come back, not Hollow, without a Darksign, without any sign of the Curse, made his stomach flip just a bit. "How..." was the best he could come up with as the woman opened her eyes.

[Medical Cruiser Deliverance]

As Milo vented his frustration, several nearby hanger personnel watched with awe. Some were now afraid to approach the officer for fear of bursting into flames, others wondered just how big of a fireball he could have made until the fire alarms kicked in. As he silenced the flame in his hand, the people who were watching quietly went back to their duties, somewhat relieved that they weren't under threat of an outlash by a superior.

Meanwhile... Over at Zion's medical station...

The annoying, constant droning of the flatlining heart monitor finally broke its streak as Zion's heart beated once more. As the doctor tried to stabilize the girl once again, Victoria couldn't help but be a little surprised at the situation. "You mean to tell me that sometimes, powerful emotions can bring someone back from death?" she asked her commander, wide-eyed and breathless.

"Eeeyup," was Snider's reply as he tried processing what Blore said earlier, "and usually, that one powerful emotion is love. But sometimes, it can be hate, or jealousy, or any other emotion. It just needs to be really strong."

"Oh sure, ignore the guy who's trying to save her life with practicality and knowledge." the doctor sarcastically cried out.

"Sorry man, I didn't mean to be a dick."

"Nah, you're fine. That healing magic is really helping."

"Healing magic can't solve everything, ya know. I seriously have no idea how this glowy green thing helps, but it does. That's why we need people like you, doc."

"You're too kind. Alright, she's stable again."

With the heart monitor now reading stable and healthy, Zion opening her eyes, and finally reading the document, the winged blonde girl finally gave a response, and a strong one to boot. While Victoria was still awestruck at the idea of emotions being capable of healing and now seeing the result of such an event, Snider and the doctor smiled wholeheartedly at her surprising recovery. “I’ll take that as a yes,” the commander chuckled, “and the faster you feel better, the faster we can go there.” He handed the paper to her, and stepped back. Victoria was still stunned as she stood there with a blank expression on her face, staring at the nearby hanger walls. “Love… Love can… can it really?”

Any semblance of a deep thought was interrupted when her sister playfully bashed her helmet from behind. “You were staring at a wall, dear. Are you ok?”

“I am now. Thanks.”

With a big smile on her face, Charlotte turned to Zion. “Glad to see you’re awake. Now what happens?”

Meanwhile… Snider returned his attention to Blore. "Sorry about that. Anyways, you were saying that you mayhave downed a god? That's... pretty impressive. I think the most notable thing I have ever done was saving a batch of cookies from overcooking in an oven this one time-"

"No, you failed at that!" Charlotte chimed in, giggling.

"Hey!" the commander amusingly pleaded, "Your sister sabotaged my efforts to impress you! Anyways, go get Milo and ask him if we can use his ship to go to the Graveyard." As the blonde sergeant hurried off, Snider returned his attention to Blore. "Um... Anyways, you said you were thinking of something permanent to replace this light of yours. I'm gonna go on a whim and say that light bulbs are out of the question. So, are you suggesting that you're on the hunt for some sort of powerful artifact?" The Cornerstone of Light immediately sprang into Snider's head, but he quickly buried the thought. I wonder how a god slayer can fare against a team of Shadow Sentinels? My bets will be on this guy anyways...

Elsewhere, Charlotte finally caught up with Milo. “Hey captain!” the bubbly sergeant firmly announced, “Zion’s awake now. Snider is asking if we can use your ship to get us to the Graveyard. It shouldn’t be too cramped with all of us onboard. Your call, sir.”

[Milo]

Milo looked behind him to see Charlotte. He nodded curtly to her. "Yeah, sure. We can use my ship. We should get going as soon as Zion is cleared though. I have a feeling there is going to be something about this trip that'll be special. After all, you don't just get a letter asking to go to the Keyblade Graveyard of all places for a tea party." Milo said, walking back towards the medical room alongside the sergeant. It was true. The Keyblade Graveyard was a legendary place, and one that wasn't visited for the view. No one went there without purpose.

[syfe]

Syfe exited the train station and was about to go searching for his lieutenant when he caught sight of something going on. A rather alarming scene. An armored Light Judge, a wrecked food truck and its owner, and a rather large crowd. This could not end well. He hurried over to the scene, and hid himself behind a corner, just near enough to hear the goings on. He readied his rank badge in case he needed to flash it. But for now, he'd stay away. No need to instigate the situation further when their was no need.

Leona quickly led her new recruits through the town square. It was very crowded. She hoped she hadn't lost any of them in the crowd. Syfe might get kind of ticked at her if she managed to lose them so quickly. Then she spotted her destination. The ice cream shop. She flashed a smile behind her to the others, and quickly gestured towards the ice cream stand, where she immediately began to skip towards.

[Quincy]

Quincy studied his papers, working relentlessly. He was working on finding some new great idea that would help the Decolor function. The phones were great, and he'd led his research and engineering team in several other successful innovations, but now he just seemed in a rut. He could not think of anything that would be of any use. Maybe he should just work on some diplomacy stuff that needed to get done. With Le Chef on board now, he needed to get the Decolor's reputation up, and make sure that it had plenty of allies. He had heard of an up and coming group based within the Light Army. And there was news of a pair of vigilantes that were liberating worlds like there was no tomorrow. He could do that. Then he sensed something. Something very nearby. he dived out of his chair, just as a blade stabbed straight through the back. Quincy rolled to his feet and summoned his bow. He examined his opponent quickly. A young woman, in a long black dress, overflowing with darkness.

"So close..." She hissed, frowning. "You just had to move didn't you." Quincy arched an eyebrow at her. He knew who she was now. Mali, leader of the Dark Faction. What was she doing here? Unless she was launching a direct attack or was going to make a deal... No, she wouldn't have just tried to stab him if she wanted to make a deal. That left one option.

"Sorry, but generally moving before I die to a selfish princess is a big hobby of mine. Maybe if you ask politely I'll consider letting you stab me." Quincy mocked, shooting off an arrow of light. The Dark Princess evaded, leaping towards him.

"Pretty please?" She said, lunging with a blade of darkness. Quincy sidestepped, then took a few more steps back before taking another shot.

"Upon consideration, I really do like my life. I think I'll keep it." He said, shooting another arrow. Mali watched the arrows fly towards her, and at the last second, fell into a dark corridor at her feet. She reappeared behind him, and before he could dive out of the way, Mali summoned her keyblade and stabbed through his stomach.

"Reconsider." She whispered. Then she neatly pulled her keyblade back, and disappeared into a dark corridor, which she closed behind her.

[Azalea]

"Isn't it possible we're on break? I mean, we did kind of just get back from a big op. You don't think they'd give us even a slight break?" Azalea said, her tone still jovial, taking a sip from her drink. She doubted her words were correct. Breaks were rare here. Azalea looked to Casumi. "Hey Casumi, anything special happen during your recovery?" Azalea inquired.

Dawn looked at Rho as she blushed for a moment, and smiled at him. She gripped her sword tightly as she took a few sidesteps in an attempt to avoid Rho's jabs, and jabbed her sword at his stick. She could feel her Heart beating in excitement of what she was doing. She continued to look at him, and kept focus. "I'm not sure... Perhaps I do, hehe." Said Dawn, talking to Rho with a cheerful tone in her voice.

  • 2 weeks later...

"Wait, what?" Cory said. She was the type of person that trusts everyone, because she wasn't taught otherwise, that little old lady opening her doors to random strangers in the winter. "This town is full of nitwits," she muttered. Decision: Follow her, trust her, and if she turns out to be bad, so what? Cory'll show her what a little light can do when it becomes A LOT of light.

Cory sprinted down the alley.

{Ina: Space}

Ina complied with Evie's wishes and diverted from Twilight Town. She stayed silent for a few seconds more, trying to figure out how to say what should come next.

"You are making the right choice." She tried to reassure the young de Wynter. "It's important to protect the people that matter to you."

Pushing down the feeling that she was failing that herself, Ina considered what step to take next. She could get Evie into physical shape, and teach her about weapons, but magic was beyond her. She didn't know anyone who she trusted enough or was willing to endanger to teach Evie. But...she might be able to rely on another's knowledge.

She turned around in her chair to look at Evie.

"I am going to help you learn how to protect yourself and maybe even your family too." She explained. "But Are somethings i can't teach you. I have a friend who might be able to help. He won't like it, but he owes me. Are you willing to try?"

{Freyja: The Yggdrasil}

Freyja's holographic avatar appeared projected from a nearby console, standing in an at ease stance.

"The Land of Dragons is the closest Light aligned world to our location." She reported. "Communications coming from it suggest it is still recovering from a massive attack by the Dark that occurred 4 years ago."

{Cron: Home; Lab}

Cron finished buttoning her new shirt and started shrugging on her replacement jacket.

"Up to you." She answered Hotaru nonchalantly. "Might lend some street cred, but it also could spark more questions, so what ever."

With her jacket on, she treated both Hotaru and Stan to a grin.

"We are also going by portal, as we need to stay mobile to follow our target." She explained. "It might be bumpy, as I am generally more interested in arriving some where fast rather then smoothly. Sorry."

She turned and waggled the fingers on her still organic hand. A Dark Portal formed in front of her.

"If there is nothing more, let's get this show on the road." She said, glancing back at her teammates.

{Alph & Casumi: Home; Canteen}

Alph grunted to Luna's crack about Alexi and Neena being an odd pair.

"Can't argue there." He said. "I sometimes wonder if they actually see eye to eye on things."

Casumi frowned slightly at Azalea's comment about being on break. Rest was necessary at times, but while the Keybladers still held most of the world's, how could the Decolor sit idly by?

Azalea's direct question to her pulled Casumi out of her philosophical thoughts.

"Not during." She answered. "At end, met up with Neena and two mercs on my homeworld. Ran into light soldiers, one claiming to be a survivor from Neena's village. Chased off by local peacekeeper."

{Thet: Twilight Town; Downtown}

The Light Judge ignored Le Chef's words, pushing both Le Chef and the White Mage out of his way, like they were obstacles rather then people. A young man of handsome appearance and dress moved quickly and helped Le Chef and the White Mage keep their balance.

"Careful there." The young man said sharply to the judge.

The Light Judge said nothing, but gave the man a back handed slap that sent him to the ground.

"More talk like that, and you will not find me so merciful." He growled.

The Judge then jumped up on the van and used his Keyblade to cut it open. He inspected the cargo of the overturned Van, occasionally picking up a few biscuits, tearing them open, then dumping them on the ground.

The young man who had helped Le Chef was slowly getting up, a look of righteous indignation in his eyes. The crowd, momentarily silenced by the Judge's rough treatment of those who stood up, began to murmur again with disapproval.

{Alexi: Home; Quincy's office}

A moment after Mali disappeared, Qunicy's door splintered inward. Alexi stepped in as the last splinters landed, his fists wreathed in dark flames.

"Are you injured?" He asked as he scowled at the scene.

He had smelled her from outside. He had been hoping the day one of the factions would find the Decolor base was a long time in coming.

{Rho: Twilight Town; Beach}

"Well, either way, you are doing alright." Rho said, giving Dawn a smile.

With Dawn's jab, knocking his weapon out of the way, Rho backed off a little.

"Okay, when someone is backing off, it is usually a good time to try to keep them backing up by pressing in as much as you can. Try it."

{Scales & ??????: Twilight Town; Back Alley}

Scales held on to Cory's shoulders as she sprinted into the alley. He felt conflicted. The information that he was getting from his nose made him want to get away from what ever was giving it off. But...there was power there as well. And power was a hard thing for a dragon, even a small one, to resist.

A couple of yards into the alley stood the woman with pure white skin wearing a black dress. Her eyes were completely white and looked vacant, though she wore a friendly smile.

"Hello there." She said pleasantly. "Your tricks with light are impressive."

Her white eyes seemed to flick for a second as she looked above Cory's shoulder.

"Have you and your dragon ever thought of putting your skills to good use?"

{Hotaru}"What's a few more haters on my side" Hotaru thought. "It's not like it really matters around here."Once he noticed the dark path that Cron made he focused on his hand. Slowly, a dark mist began to gather around it until it formed the familiar shape of his Keyblade, the Way to Redemption."We're going the good old dark portal way." He said while waving his weapon. "I'm used to the bumpy rides."Hotaru gave Stan one last look trying to find a clue about his sudden revelation as a Keyblade Wielder before he nodded at Cron and entered the portal."Let's get this show started." He said before disappearing.{Lunaris}"That's true" Luna replied. "I wonder that too."The Sniper often wondered what the leaders of he Decolor were thinking. One one side was Neena, Luna didn't knew what to think of her. While on the other was Alexi, she knew little about them, but something made her feel that they deserved her trust."But we can only believe in them." She said to Alph. "Maybe not all members of the Decolor get along, but at least every one of them is trying to help against the Keyblade Wielders."The Keyblade, a truly marvelous and dangerous weapon. Luna knew that Hotaru's status as a wielder was an issue within the Decolor, not many knew about the issue, but those who knew, or at least the majority, hated or ignored Hotaru for it."I know we are in our break, but we should always be ready just in case the bosses call us for a mission."Luna drank the last of her drink and sighed sighed in relief."That was a good drink~"

Dawn smiled at Rho, and nodded as she moved forward, and began jabbing at Rho's stick with gentle jabs in an attempt to push him into a corner like he said. She was having fun with what she and Rho were doing. She was glad she stepped out of that place, and gotten to meet him. She was eager to learn how to fight. "Sure, is the pressings like this?" Asked Dawn, asking Rho a question with a cheerful tone in her voice.
