So this is a thing that happened. Nintendo is just the freaking best.

I presume this also means a GC lineup on Virtual Console is on the horizon because hey... why not make the most of it?

Why not just make a new controller that's better? I agree the GameCube controller was great...but still.

I hope we get Gamecube imports! Super Mario Sunshine was my childhood! lol

Why would you import it if you already have it in your country?

I think he meant putting Gamecube games on the eShop for the Wii U

Yeah, he did. Through emulation. Importing is when they'd get a title from another country. Eg. putting the Japanese version of a game on the North American eShop.

Why fix what's not broken? Gamecube controller is comfortable, perfect fit, and a preferred controller by many. Not to mention that this now helps any GC VC that comes out like Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion, thanks to analog triggers being on the Gamecube controller. Plus for some of us, we're now purchasing a simple adapter instead of wasting money on several $50-$60 controllers.

I agree. The gamecube controller is the most comfortable nintendo controller in my opinion.

And then two-billion people all started buying the WIi U at the exact same time. :P

Not to mention offer a better alternative controller for SOME games where the Wii remote's capabilities weren't used properly....(Sonic Riders Zero Gravity....)
