The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U has officially been revealed. It's due for release in 2015 for now, and what we've seen already is official gameplay.

I'm just saying, he looks a little more feminine than usual here. : I'm just thinking here, a female Link would be really cool. Of course, I'm probably looking into this too deep.

I'd actually like to see the option to be either-or myself.

Well this isn't quite a lobster. But it is a similar style of clothing, for sure, and a similar pattern.

I'm starting to get a feel for it. He's matured more in all ways. Here we have 12 year old Link and Zelda U will have him at 17-19.

That was 100 years after Phantom Hourglass, and the Link in that was a new incarnation.

Actually taking another look at the screenshot of Link, it actually looks like a she and not a he. I've got small expectations for gender options. Can't believe there are still people out there who find it wrong for the option to be there, because Link has always been a male and can only be a male. That's like saying only I can go adventuring because I'm a male.

I don't find the option wrong per se; rather, I think it'd be cool to have a female descendant of Link, though normally I prefer a little more difference. I think the main problem with it is the same that people have with him being right-handed, it's just not a staple of his character.  And with a character who doesn't speak and has stayed the same for so long, it feels like a betrayal of the character to some I'm sure.

 

Also, I've looked, and I've tried, but I really do not see how this Link looks all that feminine. What makes people think that, just out of curiousity?

The eyelashes, eye shape, hairstyle (though males can have long hair as well, loved the ponytail), slim head shape.

 

Also the nose shape, and mouth size, thin eyebrows and thin physique.

Holy crud, this game looks amazing! Why must we always wait for such amazing things to come to us!?  Oh well, this just makes the excitement all the more thrilling!  Can I cry now?

Maybe because they want to show less information as possible so that when Zelda U comes out next year people will have to buy the game to see what the story and gameplay is all about.

It's not really the same thing, but I can understand how it could be taken that way. It seems like it has kind of taken off where people are saying 'oh it's a female character' and it just kind of grew. But my intent in saying that was humour. Aonuma the Troll. He caused major speculation, and I'm sure he's happy to see what some of the speculations that were made. He again, reiterates who Link is supposed to be, which makes me extremely happy due to the fact most people forget they're supposed to Link. There is no female version at all either. Looks like those looking for an option will still have to wait on it. As I've said before with my several sets of speculation, this could be Wind Waker Link all grown up as he discovers the New World and the technology around it that would later be used for to form trains and the Spirit Tracks.

He's also paying attention to our reactions, specifically reactions about a female Link. I believe he may even add the option in at some point based off the reactions here. Many were hopeful for the option, others were very upset, giving misogynist remarks as to why Link can only be male.

Aonuma says Zelda U will be playable at next year's E3 event:

 

Eiji Aonuma has told Nintendo fans on Miiverse that The Legend of Zelda Wii U will be playable at next year’s E3 event. The information shouldn’t come as too big a surprise as the title is slated for a 2015 release. The information was posted in Japanese, but Aonuma neglected to mention it in the English translation. Here’s what he roughly said via Google Translate.

 

 

 

 

“Because I think the E3 of next year, would like to be able to play in practice, please stay tuned.”

I really can't stand the Zelda community anymore since they never see the problems in a game, but when it comes to art style, they complain about the graphics which is a whole other thing in itself. Some people get it right, but they still dun give the art style a chance. That's pretty sad if you ask me, pathetic at the most.
