The people behind Fire Emblem are making a new IP for the Nintendo 3DS, set in London.

 

The art style draws inspiration from steampunk and American comic book sources, and the gameplay is similar to FE:A (strategy RPG) but with third person shooter elements too.

They also did Paper Mario and Advance Wars. In other words, this is a game to look forward to. It sounds awesome, I can't wait to see the footage tomorrow!

Interesting. So just to be clear, Code Name:S.T.E.A.M. is the actual name of the game, not just an actual code name to get us excited, right?

I think so. They've released the box art for the game and it says "Code Name: S.T.E.A.M"

I'm excited. Intelligent Systems make some great games and as a big Fire Emblem and Advance Wars fan then I'll definitely look into this new strategy game from them.
