Master Xehanort and Eraqus, childhood best friends?

Posted

So this is a question that hasn't bothered me much until now. During the newest teaser trailer, it's highly guessed that the voice(s) are Master Xehanort and Master Eraqus when they were still in training. I'm thinking that maybe there is something else that needs to be found after Sora finds Aqua, Ventus and Terra. Maybe one of the first keyblade masters or one of the keyblades used during the great Keyblade War. But, it's just a thought, and I'd like to hear you're thoughts about the upcoming events for the game.

It's been said by Xehanort himself in BBS that Xehanort and Eraqus were like brothers growing up.

Much time has passed since I left the home of my youth behind, and in the myriad worlds I have visited, I have gained much knowledge. On these pages, I intend to record a portion of that knowledge, and put the course of my life to paper.

Upon reflection, my life underwent the most considerable sea-change when I arrived at that place. Yes, it began when I found a Master, and another I would later call my brother—when I found a new home.

Then there was the Keyblade. For what purpose was it begotten, and by whom? During my training as one of its wielders, the precepts offered a clear answer: the Keyblade existed so that we who watched over the light could protect the world from the shadows.

But was that the TRUE answer? Could there not be more to it than that? My heart sought knowledge, and so I sometimes visited other worlds—though such travel was forbidden unless duty required—and found what my heart sought.

True, but what did he find? Another keyblade or keyblade master? That's what I'm wondering. Why did he turn evil.

Na they just know each other as masters and mayby he knows Xehanort from the storytellers if the rumor is true.

If I remember correctly, Xehanort turned out the way that his is now due to his curiosity towards the darkness, and the Keyblade War. He'd heard that unlocking Kingdom Hearts would shroud the worlds in darkness, then bring a powerful light. He wanted to see that power for himself, and decided to follow the path of darkness. However, he ended up misusing the power.

If there was Eraqus and Xehanort do you think there was girl like in all the other trios?

I'm not sure what you're asking but as far Xehanort being evil I can give some insight. Xehanort did not start inherently evil he had some good intentions but he allowed himself to be to close to the darkness and over time it consumed him.

Actually, Master Xehanort said they were like brothers. And I might be wrong but I think Master Xehanort gave himself up to the darkness when he was traveling between worlds. Maybe thats what his heart sought.Anyway, Where's Flaming Lea?!

It was clear in BBS that they were once close as how Erauqs addresses and acts around Master Xehanort when the Mark of Mastery exams were taking place for Terra, Ven, and Aqua. MX was good, but he began to falter when his curiosity got the best of him concerning the darkness and the Keyblade War; and when he heard about the key, X-Blade, that could unlock immense power from Kingdom Hearts. He began to become stained in darkness when he acted out on this itching curiosity to take all the light himself and use it for unfavorable purposes.

At least, that is what I got from it... (have not played BBS until it first came out, haha.)
