The Wii U Has A Dirty Little Secret

Posted

Q: Will the Wii U ever outsell the Xbox One or PlayStation 4?

A: The dirty little secret is if you look at life-to-date numbers, between Sony and Nintendo they’d be pretty close in terms of PS4 vs. Wii U, with Xbox coming in third place. I think it’s going to be a three-horse race for the balance of this cycle.

Q: Will you ever outsell them on a monthly basis?

A: You know, it’s going to be very interesting to see the NPD data [on U.S. sales] for June.

Whoa, this is some deep stuff :O. remember Nintendo, secrets don't make friends! D:.

What is this? Lol.

PS4 has 8.1 million sold, Wii U has 6.3 million sold and Xbox One has has 4.5 million sold as of the end of May.

And yes, Mario Kart 8 boosted Wii U sales. That's old news.

No dirty little secrets.

I think Reggie was being sarcastic. He's been pretty bold with his words lately, even going as far as saying he'd be playing Smash on the go so often that the next Smash tournament, he'd kick everyone's ass (though his statement was mainly directed toward the champion of the Smash invitational at E3).
