There has been alot of controversy, lately, because Assassins creed: Unity is only having four male characters to be playable. Everyone's outraged that you can't play as a female character.

I still like the game and I don't really care who I play as in AC, but I wish there was more choice and diversity than four white guys.

With four characters you could make each of them unique.. but no :I

Didn't they already have female characters? :|

Assassin's Creed, so far has one female character, and that's Aveline. She is playable in Assassin's Creed III: Liberation for the PS Vita. There has been a HD port of that game on PC and apparently PS3 and XBOX 360, which has been renamed Assassin's Creed:Liberation HD. As for Unity, I read an article that stated Ubisoft not having enough time to include female characters, as development time could be doubled due to character design and voicing. The female protagonist is not something that has been forgotten. I believe that there will be more of them in future AC games.

Uhhh this argument again?

Guys for the love of god this is a video game who gives a shit if Assassin's Creed Unity didn't have female Assassins?

I think ReviewTechUSA explains it better than I do.

Seriously why all of a sudden people started taking video games a bit too seriously despite the whole damn thing being a fiction?

Also,I assure you most of those who complains about gender are males so they can customize a female character with as less clothing as possible, not because they want gender equality

But hey I'm sure someone out there will accuse Powerpuff Girls of being sexist against males by not having a male member in a team called POWERPUFF GIRLS

Yeah but, that's the thing. It's called Powerpuff Girls, so obviously, the team will consist of girls. Assassin's Creed, however, doesn't say anything about gender in the name. I personally think that males actually do care about gender equality for the most part, as you probably wouldn't be able to customize main characters that much in single player mode. Just changing your style of robes, and they're always fully covering guys, so I doubt they'd change it for the females, considering all the stealth they have to do. I mean, we've already got that multiplayer mode if you want to play as scantily clad women.

Being fiction doesn't just make it okay. "Oh, that little kid's getting raped? Well, it's just a fiction, so I'm perfectly fine with it!" Does that seem okay in the slightest? No, it doesn't. Fiction or not, that could really disturb people. Obviously this is a different case, as people just want a female playable character (and why this riles you up so much, I have no clue), but you need to understand that it being fiction doesn't suddenly make everyone think "oh, then it's fine".
