At four points around the mountain known as Evraius the Teragren captains went over the situation once more to be sure there was no confusion; this was a volunteer mission, there was a high risk of death, and once the climbers passed the Teragen gates onto the premises of Evraius they were no longer under the protection of the Teragren army, and nobody would help but the rest of their team members.Of the 19 volunteers that passed the test to be accepted into the Evraius mission there were now four teams, each of 4 or 5 people. The army had brought them to the four gates that separated Evraius from the Kingdom of Teragren. The strategy was that they may be more effective if they could split the Kamyn attention and thus have a better survival rate. Now the four teams sat at their respective gates, facing the world changing mountain that would be their future; Evraius. The teams were split up in the following ways:Gold Team, made up of Drale Vay, Amber Dolor, Cornelius Bastion, and Sandrew.Silver Team, made up of Sonya Bishop, Kinzoku Mors, Averain, and Jasper SummersIron Team, made up of Alice Thornsberry, Emert Berger, Morgan Etiam Vinctum, and Doctor Pellinore WartropPlatinum Team, made up of Apollo, Lance Alburght, Varion Hain, Fairy, Aya Kozakura, Sairi KozakuraEach of the gates rumbled opened painfully and slowly, with a history of destruction and cruelty beyond their metal bars."Okay." Each captain spoke to the respective teams as they mounted their horses once again and steered back toward the road."You all have 5 minutes to greet your new teammates and enter the gates. The magical locks will automatically close them again after that point. There won't be any returning until you have something substantial to return with." The gist of each captain's parting words were. They had all rehearsed together so the information would be similar for each group. It also helped mask the fear.And then each group was left alone, each with a gate and a beaten dirt path beyond it sitting before them. It was time to start the introductions and get going.It was time to start the climb.Watching every gate through spectral projections, Adriev pondered. He stood in a pure white room with 5 others. After watching the four teams for a few moments he turned to his peers: Efenton, Girver, Dante, and Vortimer. Only one was missing."So..." He spoke slowly, weighing every word. "What shall we do about this?"

"Sorry, but no time for a nice sleeping draft!" Kinzoku said, tone peppy. She whacked Apollo over the head with her cylinder, then placed him on one of her stretchers. She began levitating the stretchers that had people on them. "Those doors better open quick, or we're screwed." Kinzoku said, almost in a sing-song tone.

The Doctor stood to full height when the ashes he had placed in his bag reformed into Sanya. It was an interesting technique. The reformation of the ashes reminded him specifically of a Phoenix. He heard Cathos' words. "So judgmental. Let her talk at least, that is the gentlemanly thing to do. Of course, you're far from a gentleman, but maybe if you try you can become a poor imitation of one." The Doctor said, unwilling to let any event interrupt his jabs at Cathos. Despite his words, the Monstrumologist summoned his spear. Better to be cautious, and this room was too small for most of his beasts.

 

(I love how Cathos has ignored every insult and remotely offensive remark the Doctor has thrown at him.)

Sanya's snow white hair now faded to black halfway down. Her left eye was now a brilliant gold, and as her body reformed naked, a wind tore through the lift, and a black cloak surrounded her. She studied Cathos, and studied the Doctor.

"Cathos is right. I am no longer an ally." She raised her hand, and fire erupted. A beautiful phoenix sat on her arm . "For centuries I have lived. This Phoenix is why. Its why I wasn't afraid of that sword..."  She looked at Iron, the Phoenix flashing away, leaving Sanya again standing alone.

"And you all were stupid. The only spy in this group was me. And now..." her wolf and tiger familiars melted from the ground. "Your next test is me."

 

Her familiars shot at the group, as Sanya essentially earthbended, now wielding twin swords of pure stone. She charged right for the Doctor, the only one who had a weapon.

(Did Sandrew just die, or is he doing something else?)Ferro~~~~~Ferro growled when he saw the Kamyn appear and transform. Stabbing Birgitte into the ground for easy retrieval, he took out Vell and began firing bolt after bolt of hot white at the dragon. Vell was cackling of course, but Ferro tuned it out as he fired trying to hedge the monster away from his fallen comrades.

As soon as the white lightning shot towards it,Duke easily cut those lightnings by swinging his saber. "Illusionary Revenge - Dummy Phantom..." Duke roars as he cast his power to create an illusions where he made a replica people of the Golden Team. "From my observations,all of you are in bad conditions.And for that,I shall give you a little task for facing me..." Duke said as he cast a barrier of illusions for his own protection while the Replicas were starting to attack the original as the Replica of Ferro firing the exactly same shot of white bolts just as the original did towards the the real Ferro...

The muddy puddle that Sandrew turned into was betting on water near by, under ground, and so he soaked in and managed to bring it to the surface. The area flooded quickly with water, enough to drown even the biggest of beasties.

Ferro~~~~~

 

Ferro sucked in a huge lungful of air as the water rose up over his head. He deftly blocked the fire bolts coming from his duplicate using floating plates from Chips. Stowing Vell on his back, he snatched up Birgitte and floated there in the water, waiting for his opponent to come to him.

 

Cathos~~~~~

 

"You speak when you do not know, Doctor." Cathos said, using the statement to encompass everything the Doctor had said to him. "And when you know, you do a disservice by not speaking." Cathos formed a wall in front of him using his mind, and the tiger that was charging was thrown back as it hit it. Then Cathos summoned a large hand of greymatter to grab the beast.

Duke roared as he casting out his illusions powers.It began to start as the water turn into black thanks to the mixture from the replicas that has been turn into dust.Then,there were black vines coming out from those oceans and entangled the rest of the Gold Team.As the moment where Duke floating above the water,he began to charged up his powers on his Saber,delivering a powerful blow...

Chips shed heat, and in moments Ferro was free and steaming. Digging the bottom of Chips into the ice for stability, he fired a huge gout of white flame in the direction of the group. A path was quickly melted through the ice, and Ferro slid down it and melted the ice off of the group. "There's no where to run!" he yelled to Sandrew. "But I'll do my best to protect them." More metal plates slid off Chips, lining the edge of the small dome in the ice and locking in place. A concerned feeling radiated from Birgitte; concern, nothing more.

As the moment where the room have been frozen,Duke has become an identical that of an ice scuplture.But suddenly,thanks to his illusionary powers,the dragon who's covered in ice before them have been cracked,thus showing the insides of those ice and the dragon was gone.Then,all the ice from that room suddenly turns into a hot evaporation gas where it gathers and become a dragon itself. It seems that Duke was using his illusionary powers to become the ice itself and turns into gas,thus surviving from that attack. And for that cost,Duke stood down,began to charging power to recover his weakened state due to his survival...

As the moment where Duke have been charged up his power,he began to swing his Saber that causes a big storm that even the shards of ice was being carried over. "Illusionary Revenge; Blade of Reality!" Duke roared as most of those ice turns into an explosion flames thanks to his illusionary powers. As the ice explodes and turns into flames one by one,the whole have cause a big tremor that would make an extremely dangerous earthquake...

The Doctor jumped up and flipped over Sanya's charge. Most presumed that since he was a scientist, he had no physical ability or skill with a weapon, which was flat out wrong. He had trained for several years with his spear and bow so as to be able to defend himself against the dozens of creatures he came across in his field of work. Many a monstrumologist had chosen to go into the science without any kind of magical or physical defense. They died. "Oh trust me, the second I know something, you will too." The Doctor stated, not afraid to confess to his talkative nature. He lunged at Sanya with his spear, then ripped it upward, spinning the blunt end of the spear towards Sanya before stabbing again.

Then, almost comically, it appeared as if a cat was on her shoulders and a bunny on her head. The tiger and wolf were gone. Blocking the blunt end, Sanya jumped knto the spear with perfect balance. She stared down the Doctor.

"You all know nothing. You all are in a sea of lies." She ran down the spear and swung at the Doctor. Her swords still there, the rabbit was gone, but her Tiger ears and tail were back. She could summon her familiars to help her, or just use their powers. "For once death has made me more powerful then you could possible imagine!"

looking to Kinzoku by her sudden intervention of knocking Apollo out Tristan did a facepalm "(Uh... I know i kind of felt doing that myself to speed things up but kinzoku's approach to actually doing it was rather abrupt but that aside looks like we now have our four unconscious and five conscious so best now if we move with this plan)" Turning his gaze towards the door waiting for it to open Tristan spoke towards to others with out averting his gaze even slightly "Alright everyone with Apollo out cold we have our four unconscious party members now accounted for so before the door opens I'm going to say this as soon as the door opens we get the four unconscious through nice and easy we already knocked them out better to put them through the door gently then to rush them then once we have them through the door the five of us still awake make a run for it together on my count nobody is to think of running off on themselves we need this plan to work as discussed if we want everyone to get through that door to annoy those damn Kamyn so get ready"

The air around the two began to vibrate, first mildly, and then mildly.

 

"Look familiar Ryu? Surprised you aren't the one doing it? My power, to answer your question, is a mental link. While I stop short of mind reading, I can read emotions, communicate, and most importantly, begin to make use of my hosts.... magic as the normal people would call it. Unfrotunatley it's only a small amount and it's both temporary and weakened while the person is alive, but once they die... Then I can make more usage of their powers. How many Kamyn and humans do you think have died on this mountain, Ryu? How many do you think I linked with?"

 

A blade of pure energy appeared in Adriev's hand, the other one sparked with electricity.

 

"Don't worry. I shall not use your own power against you, and I shall only employ a fraction of my skills, that is all it will take."

 

Adriev smiled and sighed.

 

"And as to your second question. My plans are none of your concern. By the time things truly going into action you will be long gone."

 

Then Adriev shot towards Ryu, blade first....

Now the test had well and truly begun... Vortimer facing what remained of the Gold Team fighting force...

Adriev's voice boomed. "You all are so indecisive. You have one minute before I kill you all."

 

Now the clock was ticking. It was now or it was never.

The lift beyond the newly-opened door began to move, it was time to get on or be left behind.

 

Just as it moved though, the bag of various remains from Sanya flew into the air, her remains landing on the moving lift and her form reconstructing.

 

She looked... different somehow.

 

"Welcome to the Kamyn." Adriev's voice spoke to her. "Toy with them if need be, I will be in contact soon."
