Sqaure Should Take Notes From Namco

Posted

Just look at this. This is a cool special edition for ToX2. Sqaure could learn a thing or two from Namco Banadai and see how they handle their localized games with special bonuses. Square should do something like this with the KH or FF games.

Fol. Isn't Square a lot more successful than Namco?

Only because of Final Fantasy (which has been going downhill ever since Final Fantasy X-2). But they can hardly be called more successful becasue from what I've heard Square has been having some trouble with their money lately.

Um...that doesn't really mean that Namco is a bad company. And how the heck is the FF1 port crappy anyway? What did you honestly expect from a port of FF1? Overglorified 1080p graphics lol? But anyway, Namco's been doing much better with handling their JRPG's in the west than SE has ever done recently. They've been giving us a lot of Tales games ever since they decided to localize Tales of Graces F. and they plan to release Tales of Zestiria close to Japan's release date. Which is something pretty surprising from Namco.

Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn sold over their exectations. And when Square found out Sony sold their shares of the company, Square wasn't worried about it. They're back in a profitable margin.

True. But for how long?

That's because Square Enix just made a big profit on the back of XIV: ARR and X/X-2 among other things.

True. But for how long?

However long consumers purchase their products, which thanks for their digital catalogues should last quite awhile.
