Great news Kingdom Hearts fans. The latest issue of VJump is reporting that the Japanese release date for Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is set for October 7th, 2010. That is a very short three months away!

 

For those that are unaware, Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded is a brand new remake of Kingdom Hearts Coded for the Nintendo DS, specifically created for an international release for those whom were unable to play the original game on mobile phones. The game takes place after the end of Kingdom Hearts 2, and is said to bridge the gap between Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts 2. However, RE: Coded incorporates a host of new elements into the game, including redone graphics, story changes, added game play elements, and a new secret ending, which you can read about here.

 

The question now remains is: will North American and European fans get their hands on this game before the end of 2010? We'll have more information as it arises!"

 

I wonder when us in America and Europe will get this before 2011 (totally did not steal this from the quote) Personally can't wait!

I find it sort of interesting that Re:Coded comes out in Japan exactly one month after Birth By Sleep comes out in America. Overall I'm hoping that Re:Coded will be available to us before years end, if not at least January 2011. Anyways great find dragonmaster.

Yeah, I found that interesting too. I agree, I think we might get a December release with how quick they made the game. And thank-you.

They didn't make the game so quick they started making it last year as its just a remake of coded.

 

I'm expecting January or February 2011 for North America and Europe.

I'm a little dissapointed. I was expecting this to be a Kingdom Hearts game to come to us Westerners before Japan for once, but I guess not. Oh well, at least by the time I get bored of BbS it'll be time for Re:coded to come out.

 

And i'd probably go for a early 2011 release date for us Westerners.

The game has to be made first for it to be translated to English.

If Days was released in japan in may 2009 and released in NA in september, Re:Coded will probably be released in either january or february 2011.

this could be good news for us, but i cant say that it means we'll get it so soon, but i hope we will

CoM - 1 month

KH2 - 3 months

Days - 4 months

BBS - 9 months

 

We're not really following a pattern here, huh? I'd expect Re:coded later this year at the earliest to take advantage of Christmas sales.

You've gotta remember though, when they announce games they've usually been in development for a while already.

Since Re:Coded is a remake, much much less time is needed to make it.
