I Hope They Bring These Back In FF XV

Featured Replies

Doubtful on the prelude. Nomura'll probably get Shimomura to compose something new (she obviously doesn't work for Square anymore, but she almost always composes the soundtrack for Nomura's work).

The fanfare may happen, or it may just get a small moment in the game. I'm not putting any hopes up for it, nor would I really care to. FFXV doesn't need it to make itself known as a Final Fantasy. To me, XV will be the new definition of Final Fantasy.

Well, maybe we'll hear modern versions of the Prelude and Victory Fanfares?  Only time will tell. :)

But is has been in every other Final Fantasy game. Hence why it's tradition to use. It has become one of the most memorable songs in gaming and it would just be sad to see it just go away and no longer be used. That's like saying that they shouldn't use "Dearly Beloved" in future KH games after it has become such a memorable piece of music to many fans. Or if Nintendo decided to stop using file select music in the Zelda games after it has become a really memorable piece of music.

YES YES YES 1000 TIMES YES!!!!!!!

They need to bring this back and fans of the old games will be drawn to this game :D i know if i wasnt already getting FFXV i would if they added these in the games somewhere :P

Is the new one even GOOD?

I've never played/been interested in it

The victory fanfare needs to comeback, but I don't mind if the prelude doesn't,I like the title sceen music of FFIX and FFXIII better

This is just WONDERFUL.Who needs the Prelude when they can make stuff like this.I guess for the sake of nostalgia it could be nice to hear the prelude music, maybe they could do something like FFX where you hear the prelude theme, but not at the title screen, but at the beginning of the game instead, that would be cool.

I honestly wouldn't care. I'd prefer something better than Fairy Fountain music on the file select screen in Zelda anyway.

I hope they bring back this:

And this:

I hope they bring thise two themes back. I hated how they got rid of the prelude and victory fanfare themes in the Final Fantasy XIII series. You can't just take out something as traditional as the prelude/victory theme for the FF series. It's what makes FF more recognizable.

Exactly, that actually reminds me of a video about FFXIII by a female youtuber named Marzgurl

Dude, even so the prelude plays somewhere else in the game not necessarily just in the title screen

in VIII the prelude plays in the gameover screen

IX has it somewhere but I don't know where exactly

and in X it plays in beginning in Zanarkand

Also, who needs the prelude? That's like a Mario game without the classic Mario theme

I'm pretty sure that's happened in a few Mario games already.

Spin-offs mostly, but in main mario games almost every single game has it remixed somewhere in the game(with the exception of Super Mario World)

I wouldn't mind a new Mario game without any remixes.I really like when they bring back classic themes in the new games, but I don't think its necessary

Actually its in Super Mario World, you can hear it in the Special World map

Ummm didn't that have a remix of the starman theme in the Star World and then after it had a completely new them for the special world?

yeah, but if you wait on the Special World map for about 2 minutes, the classic Mario bros theme will start playing over the Special world music.
