Each Add On Content pack will contain two new cups, each with four courses, which, in total, increases the number of available courses by 50 percent. The Add On Content packs include classics like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will also arrive with each pack, including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack.

Well this explains what Mario Kart 8 will do with Amiibo. I was wondering about that.

Good to see Mario Kart 8 survive on some DLC and I'm really happy about the F-Zero track (though no Captain Falcon is a shame). Gotta be honest I got pretty bored of MK8 and found it actually had far less replay value to it than I got out of the Wii version. I'll definitely be buying the DLC packs especially that there will be an additional 16 courses Here's hoping they release new Battle Mode tracks like the old games though!

When I first saw this I though it was a joke,Link in Mario Kart,but this is amazing,I was hoping Nintendo would make new tracks as DLC.That's an instant buy for me.I wish Bowser jr and Diddy Kong were included though

The pricing hasn't been stated yet,but considering the amount of content each DLC has I think it'll cost around the average price of a DLC pack

 

Most likely around 10 to 15$ per pack

Nintendo just convinced me to keep my Mario Kart 8 that has gone untouched since the first two weeks of its initial release. I'd much prefer Toon Link, but that's just my biased opinion.

The Pokemon fanbase can be pretty crappy, too. A lot seem to insist either only the newer or older games are good, and the other category is complete crap. : I know what you mean, though.

How much are Nintendo charging?

 

Nintendo UK has listings for both packs and they are charging £7 for one DLC pack. It does mention buying them in a bundle but there isn't a price. There hasn't been any other prices released for other regions but I think if it's £7 in the UK then for the rest of Europe you'd be looking at €7.99 or around there. No idea how the US or Australia price there stuff though.
