If there is one thing about Ansem the Wise that I know of, it is that his Japanese name is written as Kenja Ansemu. From what I've gathered, Kenja means "sorcerer", "mage", or "philosopher". Could it explain a few details about Ansem that we do not know of or is it just meh?

Not sure about that, but here's something fun i noticed:If you watch blank points in BBS, you'll notice that AtW's eyes are golden. Kinda makes me think he's being turned into a nort against his will o-o

It is just the Japanese version of Ansem the Wise. Wise in English means philosophical, mature, intelligent, wisdom, etc... like Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates. 

 

Ansem was a well respected man in Radiant Garden. He was like the King in a sense. He was a scientist too. So it is just, like I said, a translation.

You can't see his eyes in Blank Points they're covered by the hood. Besides which they've always been orange

Like I said, he's always had orange eyes. It's his natural color We have no evidence that it isn't. They where even orange when he found Xehanort passed out in the courtyard. At this time the only people he'd Norted where Terra and Braig

That was a pretty neat observation there!  Obviously, the philosopher translation is referring to his ties with Ansem the Wise, so it makes perfect sense!
