Kind of reflects how I feel. I don't like all these revisions of the 3DS and that this has been announced to have exclusive titles, it's pretty much saying screw you to the people who have bought the handheld recently. Still I know Nintendo have done this before with the DSI and GBC but I still don't like the idea of it. I haven't upgraded my 3DS yet so I'll probably get this eventually but it sucks for those who do and I still don't like this practice of revising the handheld constantly but meh, should be alright.
August 29, 201411 yr I feel a slight butt hurt because I just got a 3DS XL for my birthday back in May but I saw this coming so "meh" . But yes this is a major upgrade and its a worthy buy for people who didn't buy a 3DS yet. Its a shame that people are thinking that this a new handheld from Nintendo though when its just a revision lol. Edited August 29, 201411 yr by MasterRoxas13
August 29, 201411 yr I think both new models are really cool. As someone who has a launch day Aqua Blue 3DS, I will be definitely be upgrading to the New 3DS. I love the colourful buttons and the new design. Plus the cover plates being customisable? What's not to love? Overall I can see why some are annoyed but I love these new additions to the 3DS family.
August 29, 201411 yr I'm excited for it. I've always been a fan of the DS handhelds and usually get the new models pretty close to when they come out, so I've had my 3DSXL for awhile. I'm definitely going to get the new when it comes out in the U.S. My only issue is that the new might turn out like the DSi; having better hardware but only getting five exclusive games, or no benefits with games. I hope that developers could maybe make games that are compatible to both the 3DS and the new 3DS, but maybe make the games on the new 3DS have better graphics and such. That way people with the original 3DS and the new 3DS both get something out of it. I don't want to buy a new handheld just for the sake of buying a new handheld.
August 29, 201411 yr I got my 3DS LL a while back. But this is a huge knife turn to the throat for people who just literally got a 3DS XL. Like, literally just got it (IE: 1 Month-XX minutes ago) There are some games that can only be on the New 3DS, so that will confuse people even more. I assume NEW 3DS will be on the side, but still.
August 29, 201411 yr I can understand people being upset, especially if they recently bought a 3DS, because it's gonna gonna feel like such a waste when the new one comes out since they're gonna make games specifically for that version that won't be playable on the previous 3DS. Ergo, a waste of $100 something dollars. While people say "Take my money" not every one has that money to be taken, so those who just recently got it have a right to be pissed, the whole joy I found with the Wii U was I could use Wii games and play future Wii U games, where now 3DS owners who can't just piss money up the wall or ask their parents for everything won't be able to play all future 3DS games.
August 30, 201411 yr I love it. I bought my 3DS right as it came out and my brother recently got a 3DSXL, and he was all like "I don't know how you noobs can play on that tiny screen". Now I can buy a New 3DSXL and rub it in his face. Muhahaha.
August 30, 201411 yr People act like this wasn't going to happen. Just look at the DS era. SMH I'm looking forward to getting either the regular or XL, depending on the cost. Loving the changeable covers+upgrades.

August 30, 201411 yr I've been thinking about upgrading recently, and it has Xenoblade. I'm 100% sold just based on those two things. Plan on buying it at launch, if I can. There's a new 3DS with exclusive games? Nintendo is greedy. They're exclusive because the New 3DS has different hardware, and can run games that the ordinary 3DS can't. A normal 3DS would never be able to run Xenoblade.
