what mood from the looking i've done a fair amount of the majority is on my side of things in terms of opinion towards the final chapter just hoping "The Last Naruto the movie" can make up for this let down

Well, I hope it does for you. As for the rest of us, its just going to make things even better.

Connecting back to what I was saying earlier about filling in holes: the past Kages have names now! Yeah, the info. comes from the newest databook that came out two days ago and it gives names to all the Kages who were nameless up 'til now! Well some of them. Anyways, here they are:

  • All Past Raikage are named "A", just the A we know as the Fourth Raikage. That's supposed to be a tradition in the Cloud Village where the Raikage is named A and chooses a partner or "bro" named "B", so that makes sense.
  • The Kazekage are: Retto, the First Kazekage; Shamon, the Second Kazekage, and Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage, aka Gaara's father.
  • The Mizukage are: Byakuren, the First Mizukage; and Gengetsu, the Second Mizukage, aka the biggest troll ever
  • Lastly, the Tsuchikage: Ishakawa, the First Tsuchikage, and we already know the Second is Muu and so on and so forth

The Third Mizukage and Kazekage do not have names, but they're basically just walking plot points so they don't really matter anyway. xD

Not to break the mood or anything, but I'm curious about something: Along with the Part 3 mini-series we're getting, there's also going to be a side story series to sort of iron out more details of the Naruto universe in celebration of the 15th anniversary.  Of course, one of those stories is going to be about Kakashi, as it was revealed. What stories do YOU want to see in that series? Personally, I want to see a story about Minato and Kushina as Genin, a story about Hashirama and Madara in their prime and allies in the Leaf Village, and a story about Team Hiruzen or the previous InoShikaCho.

One more vote for MinaKushi side story. I've wanted to see that for ages now. I think seeing them as Chunin might be more interesting, though. Of course, as long as we get their story, I'm good.

Yeah, I hear you. Anything that involves them together as ninja doing some cool stuff is a-okay in my book. :D

T.T im sad now

NO ITS F*CKING NOT. Do not compare this to GT ever again. EVER... *ahem* Sorry about that. You know how I am about GT.

Dude, don't be a f*cking nitpicker. I'm sorry, but don't. This is the epilouge for the series. We're supposed to have a sense of finality for the characters we grew up with, the ones we care about, and we did. The kids are just a smaller piece of the puzzle anyway because we're getting a mini-series about them later on.

 Anyways, as for my thoughts:

I'm not going to lie, the first time I read through 699 and 700 (and a little bit of the second time) I was shaking. I couldn't believe that what I was reading was really the end. It was amazing but also a little sad at the same time. Still, I was glad to see all the final results of the war going into the future and seeing where all the characters ended with up with themselves. I'm glad to see that everybody is doing good, and I can't wait to get into more with the new breed of Hidden Leaf ninja in the mini-series coming up, as well as the side story series coming up as well. Please let there be a Minato story in there somewhere. #TheEnd #HokageNaruto #BoltUzumaki #NewBreed #RockLeeAndSon #SeniorKage #KuramaDrool

Lol, I know that we can't compare it,but I suddenly just got the vibe from it,I can't blame it though... :P

Is it okay to admit I started crying as soon as I saw the title of Chapter 700?

Wow. So hard to believe it's over.

I suggest you all read or watch the first episode. Feels everywhere.

AND NARUTO LOOKS FREAKING AWESOME AS HOKAGE *sobs*

I don't know if anybody else knew this, but Enchiro Oda, the author of One Piece, decided to pay a tribute to the Naruto manga in the same issue that the manga ended at chapter 700 by making this the cover art for the 766th One Piece manga chapter:

That was nice of Mr. Oda, wasn't it? :D

Of course, to return the favor, chapter 700 had a picture of the Straw Hat symbol on the second to last page:

In other news: more anime content!

http://www.shonengamez.com/2014/11/07/worried-naruto-anime-ending-dont/

Seems that on December 4th, a Naruto anime special will air, centering around the Hyuga sisters Hinata and Hanabi and will tie into the upcoming Naruto movie, "The Last". It is also alluded that more extra content will be thrown into the mix come the new year. What that content is, nobody knows.

Now. . . My final sendoff to the manga.

From late 2007 to present, I followed and watched Naruto grow up from a stubborn dumbass to one of the most greatest and respected characters. Reaching the final chapters, 699 and 700, I knew this was the end of Naruto's journey. I had no idea what to expect, which is why I broke into tears when I saw the first page, third panel, which contains the chapter's title, "The Seal of Reconciliation." I believe chapter is centered towards Sasuke. He narrated his thoughts throughout the chapter of the things he learned in his journey around the world, He takes off on another journey, but for redemption and atone his sins. Even though he didn't want Sakura to come, I find it cool that he imitated his brother and poked Sakura on her forehead, her prominent feature even though that was the only affectionate thing he knew how to do at the time. I wonder what Kakashi would do as the sixth Hokage besides saving Sasuke's ass from prison. Oh wait, we got The Last to help us with that. Sasuke had to go through sh!t throughout the entire series, but without Naruto, he would've been way down under with no way out and thanks to Naruto, Sasuke returns to his old self. I'm proud that Naruto was able to bring Sasuke back onto the right path, so if I had a fav. one character in the series, it would obviously be a tie between Naruto and Sasuke. I literally started shaking like crazy seeing Naruto giving Sasuke's headband back to the rightful owner. The final chapter was what I thought it was: An epilogue. Taking place years after the events of "The Last" Ships were confirmed, the new generation arrives, technology has reached to our state of technology in real world, and the Five Great Nations are at peace with each other. I kinda freaked out when I saw Shino. I guess we never see his eyes in the manga (but we did in the anime). NaruHina got confirmed with two children named Himawari and Boruto (Bolt), who pretty much is the combination of Konohamaru and Naruto in their young years. A crazy prankster who wants attention. Meanwhile SaiIno got confirmed with a strange child with pale skin and bright blond hair, and I'm still trying to figure out how ChoKarui got confirmed :/. Meanwhile, the dangos got into Anko, who thankfully was still alive after the events of the 4th war.  . . . WTF. . . How did Lee even. . . I don't wanna know. Maybe LeeTen got canon? IDK, but Tenten hasn't sold any weapons lately, so she probably should consider a diff. career. Meanwhile Shikadai, son of Shikamaru and Temari, comes home to see his uncle, Gaara, at his house, whose hairstyle reminds me of a certain Gourmet. We finally see Kankuro after a huge gap of no appearance and he's still wearing makeup. I'm surprised that Kiba hooked up with Tamaki, although he's still being a show off. Ino is pissed off at the children who have yet to show up to train for InoShikaCho training. I'm glad Kishi remembered Asuma's daughter, who we get to see that has grown into a great Kunoichi. Meanwhile Kakashi (WHO HAS YET TO REVEAL HIS F*CKING FACE!) was visiting Gai, who is bound to the wheelchair due to 8 gates, talking about nostalgic memories. The former Gokage have their own Five Kage Summit, although I feel bad for Mei who couldn't find a man for her, and WOULD TSUNADE DROP THE GETUP!? Killer Bee's chilliin in the hood, listening to the waterfall, wanting to chill with Naruto. Finally, we see A FRICKING MACBOOK PRO xD. I died in laughter right there. I'm kidding, we got to see Naruto, who is finally reached his dream, the Seventh Hokage, who is hosting the Five Kage Summit, but had to deal with his son pranking around the village, esp. with the classic "Hokage Graffiti." Thank God Udon stopped his snot dripping habit. Naruto catches his son, we got to see Konohamaru as a Jonin and Iruka, who's probably retired. Meanwhile, a girl named Sarada, who periodically followed Bolt returns back to her home with Sakura who's cleaning the house. Sarada claims that Bolt's stupid, but she and him have quite a lot in common when it comes to their fathers. Sasuke continues his journey as the wandering Sannin. Finally, Naruto meets up with the other Kages and goes underway with the meeting. I literally dropped my jaw after seeing skyscrapers, and Naruto's head on the Hokage Monument.  *sniff* Well gais. He did it. Naruto achieved what he wanted to be: Hokage. We shouldn't seeing the ending of Naruto as The End, but rather, the new beginning of Naruto's journey. Even though we get a continuation and side-stories next year, everyone has watched Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, even Kakashi, and the rest of the characters grow up to who they are today. Gais, it has been a great and wonderful journey, so let's start a new journey and watch how things go with the new generation, starting with "The Last." Dattebayo!

That... Was really great *cries*

Well. . . First of all, let me get blunt on anime news. We have a November line up schedule.

As Firaga mentioned, Dec. 4th is the special two episodes revolving around the Hyuga Sisters, particularly Hanabi.

Now. . . My final sendoff to the manga.

I laughed, I cried, I ate a whole gallon of ice cream. Couldn't say it better myself, man.

OK, I'm a bit confused...Will this movie be the end of the entire Naruto series/saga (anime and manga) or just of the Shippuuden series?Anyone knows?

***NARUTO CHRONOLOGY SPOILERS***

From my understanding, in the sense of the manga, it'll be like Chapter 699.5

The movie takes place after Chapter 699, but before Chapter 700

So to really answer your question, this movie will NOT be the ending of Naruto; rather it's the first installment of Part III- then chronologically Chapter 700 will be the second installment

However it may be the ending of the anime as it's "the last" movie supposedly, so the animation might be over but the manga's story will be continued in the mini-series that'll make up a majority of Part III

Part II, Shippuden, ended with Chapter 699 I believe

Basically this xD

Naruto The Last takes place between 699 and 700 xD

Read this.

What's wrong with them?

These kinds of petitions will never pass. Besides, once Kishi finishes it, it's done. That's it. FINAL.

Also, I reread 700 again, and I discovered something that's pretty funny imo.

Okay, you know how Sarada mentions to Sakura how Boruto and Sarada are very similar due to relation of their respective fathers? It seems obvious that Sarada has a crush on Boruto. Here's where it gets funny: The next page shows Sasuke at ready to attack, but turns out that it was his imagination. I don't think it was his imagination at all. To the reader (which is us), we can come to a conclusion that Sasuke is gonna need his sword for extreme measures xD

Also, for those who want to hear the main theme song for "The Last," it is apparently "leaked," so pretty much anyone can listen to it now before the song's official release.

Because of YouTube, I can't find the actual song, so you just gonna have to use the player version provided by Saiyan Island, which can be viewed via the link I posted below.

Song is called Hoshi no Utsuwa (Star Vessel) by Sukima Switch, and this song is heard very shortly in Naruto: The Last Trailer 4.

EDIT: Never mind, I found the song from Youtube

I KNEW I HEARD HIS VOICE BEFORE

Mashashi Kishimoto was recently interviewed, where he discusses the ending of Naruto and other stuff:

Question: What are you feeling now?

Kishimoto: Because I just completed the last episode less than 12 hours ago, I do not have any real feeling (that “Naruto” has ended). I have had to meet a deadline every week for 15 years, so I feel that there’s a deadline for next week. I thought of many things to do after (“Naruto”) ends, but I do not know where to begin. I want to do something other than manga. Don’t worry, I will continue creating manga.

Q: When did you decide how to end “Naruto”?
Kishimoto:
Since the work was first serialized, I have been determined to end the manga series with the battle between protagonist Naruto and Sasuke, who has been his rival since the start of the story. I later decided on the details, little by little, such as whether they would fight each other as friends or enemies, their feelings and dialogues, while I was drawing the series. Around two years ago, I began to feel the story was approaching the finale.

When the series started, the editor responsible for my work told me, “Continue the series for at least five years.” The tough work of continuing to draw “Naruto” for the weekly magazine occasionally made me think that I would like to finish the series. I did not think “Naruto” would last for 15 years.

The story lasted for such a long period because the characters “stuck it out.” When I attempted to quickly offer an answer (to issues raised in the story), the characters did not allow me to do so. If I had made them act as I wished, the reality would have been lost.

Because manga artists are always working inside rooms, it is difficult for us to see firsthand if our works are really popular. It was not until I received many fan letters from overseas that I realized (“Naruto” is) popular outside Japan. Some of those letters are written in languages I do not know, so I understand that my work is read by people in various countries.

One fan mail contained a photograph of a small child dressed as Naruto striking a pose. Such attachments make me happy.

Q: Were you conscious of “One Piece”?
Kishimoto:
It is impossible to be unconscious. (Both “Naruto” and “One Piece”) are serialized in the same magazine, and “One Piece” has always been running ahead of the pack. I have been able to work so hard writing “Naruto” thanks to “One Piece.”

Q: You will turn 40 years old on Nov. 8. How do you feel about that?
Kishimoto:
I remain a child in terms of mentality. Nothing has changed from age 25, when the series started. I just worked at the desk to create high-quality, interesting manga, and 15 years passed before I knew it.

Q: What would you want to tell your old self?
Kishimoto:
I hope to tell my 23- or 24-year-old self, who painted Naruto and other characters on copy paper just as I wanted on the veranda of my family’s home: “Cherish him. You will write a serial manga for 15 years using the character.”

Q: On The Last: Naruto the Movie…
Kishimoto:
The latest film is a love story. It will depict what happened between the 699th and 700th manga episodes. I designed the characters and helped make the story. Although I wanted to write about the romances of Naruto and his friends in the manga series, it was too difficult. I am not good at writing romances because I feel embarrassed when trying to do so.

Remember that whole "NaruSaku" manga change ending thing?

Wow. Death threats and banning the manga in the U.S....

Also, I use "Shinachiku" as the name of Naruto's son in an RP, so now I can't look at it the same way. X_X

Weekly Shonen Jump revealed a new image for The Last, a nice picture of NaruHina! And we have some more info on their relationship in the movie as well as some general plot details.
