Darkness Prevails And Light Expires...

Featured Replies

Good theory, but I think we've gone through enough games where Xehanort f*cks us over. Let's just do away with him and have a sappy ending that leads us into a another overly complicated story arc with another villain that f*cks over the protagonists constantly.

Xehanort is not trying to make the Darkness dominant, he's trying to make it more "even" in power to Light, as he views Light to be too strong. That's not to say however that he miscalculates in his plan and causes too much Darkness to flood the world anyway. But I'm with Sensei on this one, I'd much rather Xehanort be dealt with traditionally...as in once and for all. You're idea sounds interesting, but I think I'd much rather see things done in this way. It would be what we were expecting, sure, but they could do it in a really cool and amazing fashion.

I think Xehanort may succeed but is basically torn apart in the process, ending his existence. Darkness floods the worlds like it did at the end of the first Keyblade War and the RoL is effectively sucked into to the RoD. Then SOra and the others have to find the true Kingdom Hearts in the RoD to restore the worlds to the RoL, either in the second half of the game or in KH IV

I'm going to throw this out there: what if the prophecy is just straight up wrong, and Xehanort and all the Darkness hype crew happen to just kick it, because people from ancient cultures aren't always the best at calling it?

I like that theory, and, eh...this is a video game though, and such prophecies usually come to be true right? Of course, it doesn't exactly state what happens AFTER Light expires either. It's true that saying it expires should explain enough, but it sotps there in its prediction, it seems absolute in the sense of just one event. Not to mention all events cause other things to happen.

I kind of just want this saga to be dealt with in a happy fashion. Characters have already went through enough. It's time to vanquish Xehanort and let the warriors of light have their day. The next saga should introduce new characters, as well as bring back originals.
