In this league, you can use only Pokémon that you can catch during regular gameplay, hatch from an Egg, obtain within the game, or that were officially gifted in either Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. In the XY League, ou can battle using Pokémon X or Pokémon Y. You can use any Pokémon you caught in those games, as well as any Pokémon brought to your game using the Nintendo 3DS downloadable software Poké Transporter.
The special battle rules for Season 7, the first season following the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, have been decided! All battles will be Double Battles, and will feature Pokémon listed in the Hoenn Regional Pokédex in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (some Pokémon excluded)! 
The DexNav in the PokéNav Plus has a search level as you find Pokémon. As this Level increases, you can find Pokémon with Hidden Abilities & Rare moves. You can even mark Pokémon in the area that you have seen and haven't seen.
In the AreaNav, there is also tracking of Pokémon locations, as well as the return of the Trainer's Eyes and the ability to keep track of Secret Bases and Berries
Buzz Nav has information such as television shows, and you can even receive information for it with StreetPass
The PlayNav retains all features of the PSS, Super Training and Pokémon Amie

You can also catch Ho-oh and Lugia....which means as of now you can get all mascot legendaries in Gen 6

Yeah but his Defense stat is literally the highest bar Shuckle and M-Aggron; you wouldn't use him as a special wall like you wouldn't use Blissey as a physical attacker. Steelix already has a role he performs beautifully in so what's the point in wasting a mega slot on him?

Dude there is nothing as a wasted Mega slot,just because he got a mega doesn't mean the others can't I'm tired of this analogy that people use

 

Aaand Steelix gets outclassed by a lot of Pokemon from the same typing since his speed stats are bad and while sure he has high attack stats and defense why take him over something like Excadrill or other reliable Pokemon like M-Aggron or Tyranitar(I know he's RockDark but he can fullfil Steelix's role most of the time)

M-Steelix is disappointing. Retains the dreadful typing and seems like it's trying to be a bulkier M-Aggron.

 

Glalie is meh, but I'll leave ya with one word; Explosion.

Sorry, I should have rephrased that first part. I meant why would you waste your "1 mega evolution per battle" on something like Steelix, I didn't mean to imply I was salty over the new mega evolution decisions in general (I still think they're a terrible gimmick, but I digress).The thing about Steelix is that he has shit like Curse, Gyro Ball, and Dragon Tail and shit to play with. Sure he wouldn't be used as a sweeper, but as a physical wall that can do a Stealth Rock revolving door and can take a couple of super effective hits like nothing, he sure as hell has been working for me.

Mega Steelix looks amazing, one of the best or just the best mega design. Mega Glalie looks really cool and "scary", so I like it. Thank god they are going for these type of Pokémon.
