KH13 Giveaway: Share your fan-fiction & win Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Vol. 4 manga

Posted

Hello everyone. With the fourth addition of the (English) Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days manga series releasing next week (October 28th, 2014), we have decided to start another competition!

The competition is simple: create a short fan-fiction using the theme of ‘Friendship’ and you could have a chance at winning a copy of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Vol. 4 manga. You may use any characters (Kingdom Hearts, Disney, Final Fantasy, etc) from the games or even incorporate unused characters from Disney films or Square Enix games, just as long as it relates to Kingdom Hearts somehow. Read on for more details:

How to enter:

[*]Create a new topic in the ‘Creative Media’ forum on KH13.com, put your fan-fiction there, and then put a link to your topic in the comments below so that we can find it easily. It's that simple!

[*]The fan-fiction must go under the theme of ‘Friendship’, relate to Kingdom Hearts somehow, and must have been created specifically for the competition. You can enter multiple times.

[*]At midnight EST on November 2nd, 2014, our Social Media Team will deliberate and decide on our favourite fan-fiction submitted, contact the winner of the contest, and send them their copy! The contest is open to everyone as long as the manga can be shipped to their location via Amazon, etc.

Good luck to everyone! Even if you don't win, there is still a chance we will feature your fan-fiction on the KH13 Community Twitter and the KH13 Tumblr. Above all, have fun!

If I were to write something for this, could I also upload it to fanfiction.net later on, as well as make more chapters of it on there?

That's fine. It's your work :)

Question: Does it have to involve canon KH characters, or can we have it involving OC's set in a KH setting that would make sense for them to be in, such as the Keyblade War in KHX?

Original characters are fine as well, just as long as it relates to Kingdom Hearts.

Just a reminder that this competition ends at midnight tonight (EST) so about 12 hours from now! So if you haven’t posted your story yet and/or posted a link to it here, do it soon to make sure your story is a part of the competition.

Well, dang! My submission got submitted but my comment here didn't make it! T_T

…Unless it did and I can't find it. Did it make it in?

After much consideration, we have looked through all the ‘friendship’ themed fan-fictions for our Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Vol. 4 manga competition, and have reached a decision. First of all we’d like to thank everyone who participated for all their hard work and efforts; it has been a pleasure reading through all of your stories and hope to see more work from you in the future. Without further adieu, the winner of the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Vol. 4 manga competition is VexenReplica and their piece, “Vincula Amicitiae [bonds of Friendship]”!

We would also like to mention bluemage9000 with “A Salty-Sweet Truth” & Roxasrox with “Terra—Where Friendship Begins” as the runner-ups.

Thanks again to everyone who entered! As mentioned before, your work still has a chance to be featured on the KH13 Community Twitter and the KH13 Tumblr! So be sure to check it out!

Had a feeling VexenReplica would win. It's a very well-written story. I'm proud to lose to something like that.

Congrats to the winner and runner-ups!   VexenReplica, keep on writing ------------ definitely.  For your first piece, I think you have a lot of potential. ;)
