Nomura goes to work for Disney and convinces them to work with Nintendo on a new game. Square Enix is left with no other choice but to get Sega to allow Sonic characters into Kingdom Hearts IV but no Disney characters until Square Enix get LucasFilm and Marvel to sign contacts to allow Darth Vader, Iron Man and various other characters and worlds into Kingdom Hearts IV. The move is a masterstroke as it sells 14 million copies worldwide enough to outsell Toriyama & Kitase's Final Fantasy VII remake which sold a massive 13 million copies worldwide.

 

In other Square Enix news: Ito leads his team containing the remains of the XII, Tactics and The Last Remnant teams to develop FFXVI which becomes the highest selling game Ito has ever directed with a cool 9 million copies worldwide.

 

Tabata's XV sold 8 million copies and spawned a sequel XV-2 which sold 4.5 million copies.

 

FFXIV? It has over 5 million subscribers.

 

HD remasters of Crisis Core, XII and Dirge of Cerberus also sell strongly.

 

3D remakes of V and VI directed by Ito finally appear and sell 1 and 3 million copies respectively.

 

Square Enix would also return to the Box Office. Toriyama and Kitase put out FFX-3 and it makes 200 million dollars on the Box Office.

 

KH3? It sold 6.5 million copies.

 

Toriyama and Kitase put out one last entry to FFVII and it sells 7.5 million copies.

 

FFXVII sells 20 million copies for the PlayStation 5. It is the final entry in the franchise created by Toriyama, Kitase & Ito.

Meh, forgiveable. Although you could have discussed all of them as a whole.

I'd still be there forever. They aren't done in terms of platforms for any FF game except for XIV. Not to mention other remakes. It's annoying but it's the truth they aren't done with a single number in the series in terms of playable platforms except for XIV.

Dissidia? 012 has all of it's content and it's actually playable on modern hardware unlike the others. But also as I said above there's tons of ports they're going to be doing over the next 5-10 years including ones for every FF game from I-XIII.
