Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy - Something about SE...

Posted

After some research and discoveries, Nomura had and still has many plans in stored for Kingdom Hearts.

Did you know that Dissidia was gonna be a Kingdom Hearts spin-off and NOT a Final Fantasy one?

Also, did you notice thatby the fact that FF13 was weak in terms of some of its characters and story, Kingdom Hearts got better? By that time BBS released and isn't BBS one of the BEST Kingdom Hearts out there?

I used to feel that KH was just a simple project developed by Square Enix, but now... it seems that Square is really working hard on this franchise.

Also, KH is one story, unliek FF where every single game is a different story with some little references from past games.

Kingdom Heart's gameplay is more enjyoable.

etc...

What do you think?

I enjoy Kingdom Hearts more than Final Fantasy for basically all of those reasons.

Kingdom Hearts is li(ght)fe.

I don't

really get what point you're trying to make here

(Birth by Sleep had an awful story btw)

Awful? It's the most epic, which set everything in motion.

Them Feels everywhere.

A bit darker than the other titles, which also made it great.

it's terribly written, terribly executed, and the way it set things in motion is backwards writing at its finest

Yeah. No.

Yeah. No.

well with an argument like that, you've convinced me

Well, our tastes for story telling are different. I can see that I'm satisfied with pretty much anything while you have a more refined taste. No point is discussing further.

why not? I'm not attached to my opinions, if you can convince me otherwise, great, personally I'd like to see how your rationale stacks against mine, rather than avoid discussion entirely. How would we grow as people otherwise?

I'm a lazy butt. Besides, it's been ages since I played it, so I'd have to see the cutscenes again to be able to discuss.

We can do it at a later date.

I hope kingdom Hearts becomes the new "Final Fantasy" in terms of it just never ending and spanning generations (Although it has been already) I want Kingdom hearts game to be made as long Final Fantasy games are being made. I think it has the fan base for that, it has its ups (KH1,KH2,BBS) and downs (Re:COM) just like any great series, it redefined what crossovers could be (Maybe stretching it...). It is in multimedia form, Games, Manga, Novels (apparently). I just hope the series never ends........ maybe asking a little too much but you know what i mean... if FF is anything to base it off, it still has about 6 more games until it starts getting bad...

If the newer FF games haven't told you that Square Enix just doesn't really care too much anymore, I don't know what will.

Was it really different from any other KH game? Not really.

BBS' story? It's handled a lot worse than other KH games, in particular character motivations are basically ignored

Maybe Terra's but everyone else had a clear motive.

Considering the massive drop in quality with Final Fantasy over time, KH should definitely not go on without an ending. They should end it before it ends up being a quick cash grab like the FF games have become lately.

Oh yeah? What's Ventus' goal for the second half of the game?

To find his friend and help him through whatever he's going through.

Find his friend? He's not looking for Terra or Aqua

He just sort of wanders in to other worlds

What's Aqua's reasoning for lying about Terra? She never sees him do anything and keeps telling everyone he's fine, and Terra never actually DOES anything bad anyways, yet when she meets up with Terra she suddenly talks about all the bad things she's 'seen' him do

All of Terra's stories end with him learning valuable lessons about not succumbing to darkness, and yet we're supposed to believe that Xehanort was actually corrupting him while he saw those worlds and that's why he gave in to the darkness

The game is full to the brim with cheap pandering cameos, and did this in lieu of giving us an actual backstory for the much more relevant Hollow Bastion gang

Xehanort's plan revolve around coincidences so greatly that every character has to be made an idiot jsut to make his plans work

the dialog and delivery is generally awful

Eraqus and Yen Sid aren't jsut useless, but actively harm the heroes through their confusing actions

He is looking he goes to find Terra after the boss battle at Radiant Garden. He doesn't just wander around for no reason. Terra is like his big brother.

Terra did do something bad. He stole Aurora's heart and gave it to Maleficent. Her "light" is now gone because Terra was easily deceived. If it wasn't for Xehanort informing Maleficent about the 7 princesses of heart, KH1 would've never happened.

Xehanort was biding his time and figuring out which vessel he could have. Ventus didn't work so he went with Terra because he saw a clear weakness he could exploit. Eraqus is kind of pointless, to an extent I do agree. But Xehanort left his mark since BBS. He didn't rush in to try and kill them all. He sat back and had a precise plan which makes sense to me.

No, he's not looking for Terra. He finds Terra by the end of Radiant Garden, asks to go with him, and Terra says no so he leaves. Then he goes andtalks to /aquam asking to go with HEr and she says no. So he wanders aimlessly.

Terra didn't steal Aurora's heart. Terra doesn't know this because Maleficent put him to sleep, but it wasn't him. and Aqua never saw this, she just had vague allegations from Maleficent. Adnt hat says nothing of the other two worlds where he wasn't even ACCUSED of anything, and yet Aqua says THINGS plural

KH1 not happening because of BBS is backwards writing, and some really bad backwards writing too.

Xehanort isn't biding his time. He knows everything that will happen because of time travel and a magic book. That's why Xehanort's plan succeeds even though it relies on a whole bunch of unlikely things happening, like Terra Aqua and Ventus never deciding to group up

I'm pretty sure Ventus ventures out to try and find Terra because he has nothing else to do.

Terra did steal her heart. If he wasn't consumed by his darkness, he couldn't have been hypnotized like that. Aqua would never fall under the spell because her light is too strong. Is it Terra's fault per se? No, but he's still the one who extracted the heart.

Xehanort has been biding his time for the whole series. He's planning something even though he hit a roadblock with Terra's will. That in mind, his younger self was still roaming free at the time so in a way Xehanort's plans were coming into fruition.

No he's definitely not. When people ask him what he's doing in new worlds he answers he's looking to make new friends

Terra did not. The scene with Braig and Xehanort confirms Terra doesn't have the power to release hearts

But Maleficent does. She controls him. If it wasn't for him, she wouldn't have gotten the heart. Period.

If Maleficent did it, then she doesn't need Terra. The fact is Terra wasn't capable of doing it, it was jsut an act to sow seeds of doubt in him
