IwasBornAsVentus 396 Posted October 30, 2014 Okay so Im just really curios to know for how long 358/2 days have been in production before it released in 2009. Cause in the secret ending of KH1 Roxas fight vs Riku appears and it's exactly the same sequence that was used in 358/2 days only in cgi. Does that mean that 358/2 days was in development ever back after the release of KH1 and was in the works until 2009. What if Nomura came up with this story so long back after KH1 but didn't use it until 2009. Im really curios and feel the same way for Birth By Sleep's development. Buttercup Camera 229 Posted October 30, 2014 (edited) Birth By Sleep kinda took... nearly four years of projects and development.. Work already began right after Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, but because of so many troubles and stuff like that... the game was changed from a Sora's story to a prequel; to a PS2 version to a PSP and from a WAY more darker storyline to a dark one. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 30, 2014 No, when Nomura made that, he only had that part of Roxas' story in mind, just the part that he left the Organization to find Sora. At the time he only really had Chain of Memories and KH2 in mind when he made that. It wasn't until he was working on KH2 that he had future stories like Days in mind. By doing it that way, it's actually much easier to go back and faithfully recreate a scene like Another Story. Funny thing was that somebody else on the staff came up with the idea for Xion during KH2, so if you look around in Namine's room you might find a picture of Roxas and Axel standing with Saix and another member of the Org. So it hasn't been planned since the beginning, but it was conceived while Nomura was working on KH2. 1 IwasBornAsVentus reacted to this
hatok 6,413 Posted October 30, 2014 It's worth noting that we never get the true length of development for games, all we can ever do is estimate based off when the game is announced. That said, KH1's secret ending refers to KH2, not Days But for all we known, Nomura was working on the basic idea for Days for years, like he was with KH3
Joker 1,560 Posted October 30, 2014 for 358 days duh
Master Keeper 687 Posted October 30, 2014 It took almost two years to defelop. During the secret ending of KHI, Nomura wasn't planning on making Days but he made it appear in Days just to connect the gaps. However, you will feel Days development when you start seeing the scene after defeating Roxas in KHIIFM.
