I still don't get what is the connection between these two characters, even thought it has been mentioned a lot lately in the games...What is their existing relationship? Sora never talked to Terra in BBS and they barely interacted with each other in KH2FM, and then after BBS and Re:Coded, Terra suddenly becomes one of the persons connected to Sora's heart. It's very weird...Please, explanations?

Sora and Terra are as connected as Terra and Mickey are friends

that is to say, they're not, but they say they are anyways

the closest you could say is that Sora's keyblade originates from Terra

Ven's heart is inside Sora, and Ven is connected to Terra, so I guess that's the connection they have: Ventus. It kinda makes sense.

And Sora was also the one who defeated all the incarnations of Terra-Xehanort, so they have been fighting in some way since KH1

There are many connections:- Kingdom Key was originally for Master Riku and Master Riku inherited the keyblade from Terra.

- Sora has Ventus's heart, which is connected to Terra's.

- King Mickey, Master Aqua and Ventus are all connected to Terra, which also makes Terra connected to Sora.

- Master Riku is connected to Terra, which also makes Terra connected to Sora.

- Sora was almost going to be a vessel and a copy of Xehanort and Xehanort is originally Master Xehanort and Terra, which again makes Terra connected to Sora.

- Sora met Lingering Will in KHII FM, Lingering Will is the mind of Terra inside the armors of Terra, which makes him connected to Sora.

right. There is no direct connection other than the time terra met riku on destiny island while him and sora were playing, and vens heart. Otherwise it is just by friendships.

Ven's heart is inside Sora. Ven was best friends with Terra. Terra is connected to Sora through Ven. That, and the Keyblade that Terra inherited to Riku went to Sora instead.
