Sonic Boom is worse than Sonic 06. Or rather...it is Sonic 06 "Part 2". This game has gotten terrible reviews. And some reviews even game it an even worse score than Sonic 06. And THAT is saying something right now.

oh please, was it for teh wii u version? people just judge sonic games too harshly.

i found the 3ds version a lot better

Well, Shadow's voice acting in Sonic Boom makes me wanna vomit all over my apartment, so at least in that respect, 06 is better.

I wonder if Nintendo even bothered promoting it on their YT near or after release.

Yeah, the 3DS very is better than the Wii U version. But not by a whole lot though.

It isn't a very refined game, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it "the next Sonic 2006". That's just a popular buzzphrase that everybody has been swinging around. Sonic 2006 was WAY more broken than Boom, not to mention even less finished. If everybody hates the game and rates it lower, fine, there's a lot of reasons that goes behind that. But to call it the same thing as 2006? No, that's just a fallacy in my eyes. There's no comparison.

aw come on! i wish they stuck with the unleashed formula for a bit longer. :( i think peple judge the games too harshly tho. i agree that many suck (like the secret rings) but i like a lot that are deemed bad. i actually LIKE sonic 06. but i do wish that they stuck with the unleashed formula for longer because i think that it was by far the best 3d sonic formula.

Are you serious? You will not play a game because of its reviews? Or are you just saying what you saw on the internet?

I played and beaten the game with a friend yesterday actyually (we played it all in one sitting) and my final thoughts are that it was not as good as many people hoped.

Oh, OK...I just thought you didn't want to play a game because of its reviews..C'mon, we should analyze something ourselves, and not let others decide for us...

Not a big Sonic fan, never really cared for his games, but it's sad to see such an iconic franchise put out seemingly poor games in the recent years. I don't know if people are right when they say that they rushed to get to get it out for the Holiday season, but I just wish that Sega would put more time into the games. I'd rather wait 10 years for an awesome game than wait 2 years or so for a sub par one. I don't know which is worse, however, between Sega pumping out Sonic games that get hated on, or Capcom's treatment of their own iconic series, Mega Man.

No surprise here. Sonic has really fallen.
